The owner was very visible in the Deshaun Watson fiasco in Cleveland. That is NOT my model franchise.

I’m sure they are trying to figure all that out. They are asking questions of themselves. What did we miss? How did we miss it? Should we have known? What should we have done differently? Hell, what is the TRUTH here? There are a million reasons smart people would not paint themselves into a corner before they know all the facts and how things went off the tracks. Only THEN do they come up with a statement. Not now, in the midst of fact finding. This is serious stuff, you don’t “just wing it” because “people want to know”. Smart people learn what they need to know, and only then make a plan. .

Please tell us why you want to hear more “I can’t comment on that at this point” from the owners who are not public speakers and have hired people to deal with “all situations football”. Nothing is to be gained by putting them at a podium right now. Only a complete idiot would even consider that. The resolution is not available NOW. This instant gratification stuff is out of control! A candid response would be “I don’t know yet”, but that will only lead to the being badgered to death. ZERO point in that at this point.

Saying it may not help, but DOING it may. They only said it because it was asked repeatedly in as many different ways as possible. Nothing changes if you mix up the words asking the same question.

I’m sure the timeline is one of the things they are working on. The owners owe you nothing on this, even if you want to see an even more awkward, painful and useless display for your amusement. IMO EDIT: Can you even IMAGINE the outcry if they rushed into a response to “make people happy”, then the story changes a bit? They would be crucified for being wrong, when the real error was putting it out there before they were as sure as possible.

And maybe, just maybe……they wanted a better punter. That blocked punt for TD vs Pittsburgh that happened right in front of me and cost us a game and maybe home field still gives me nightmares! It took him as long to get it off as his average hang time.

What on earth are the owners supposed to say here? Come on, really? They don’t know all the facts, they are working on learning more and deciding how to proceed. The owners pay people to run the football operation, and this is part of that. We don’t need someone higher up stumbling awkwardly thru “I can’t comment on that”. What a senseless chitshow that would turn into.

Unfortunately, past performance does not guarantee future bitcoin bounces! I was glad to see him get a smile out of that under awkward circumstances.

I don’t pretend to have answers, only questions. I have to wonder if he needs to collect paychecks for his legal defense? This just sucks in so many ways, especially for the victim(s). Watching the Barkley press conference shows how awkward it is for the rest of the team. I do not envy Beane and McD in dealing with this, but I’m betting they take the best path available, whatever that may be.

I can vouch for this! We lived in touristy areas for 30 years (Hilton Head, SC and Sarasota, FL). I tend to like touristy areas, since it’s a place people save up all year long to visit. Because it’s NICE. And they are generally full of great restaurants. If it rains on your week I feel sorry for you stuck in a small condo or hotel but kids……..but I’ll be there the next week!

Maybe he just appreciates first rate tail gate? 🤷‍♂️ He knows we will come thru!

I honestly don’t pay attention to these guys (or anything on twitter unless it’s posted here), but is there really such a thing as a person who is NOT on board with Josh? I mean, even Nick (rarely) Wright has come around!

In HS my son played QB. He wanted to throw the ball around at home before the season, but I had a partially torn rotator cuff and couldn’t throw it back…….so I would PUNT it back. He also returned punts so it was great practice for him fielding balls. On at least two occasions he failed to call for a fair catch when that was clearly the right move and he got LIT UP! He never fumbled once, so I’ll take a little credit there. 😂

It looks like it’s actually 3-6:00am. When I flipped over to check I see the KC vs Packer game. I think Jordan Love threw 3-4 screens before throwing the ball more than 5 yards down field. They don’t trust him, and are going to look bad for that pick. It happens. Oh well, we got our guy!!!

Does NFLN have this scheduled for replay? I want to record it, but switching over to satellite is a hassle, and I’m………..lazy.

I get the gut reaction, but gut reactions are generally blind reactions. As disgusting as this sounds, we do not know the facts. If someone accused you of vile behavior, I’d want to know what happened before I decided how I felt about you. EDIT: If determined he’s in fact guilty of this, he can rot in jail. .

I hope you are never on the wrong end of that. I’ll wait for the facts, and while I wait for the facts…….I’ll make contingency plans. .

I don’t know how this will turn out, but that is ALWAYS the case. We know next to nothing right now. Wait for the facts and pray for all concerned.
