  1. Live your dreams! We have faith in you. Surgery might be extreme, but I’m not here to judge anyone. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Would you like to know my first impressions about……………..tomorrow? The sun is not up yet on Cook’s career.
  3. I think we are still giddy! If, by giddy, you mean surviving on the hair of the dog? 🤷‍♂️
  4. How very spicy of you! Tell me, how much time have you spent with him? How many people do you know who have ever spent and hour with him? Are there other successful people you resent? If it strikes a nerve, we are cheaper than a therapist, but I think there are limits.
  5. Does it have to be aged bourbon, because the bar is sounding pretty high here. .
  6. If I had to guess a scenario, one of the guys ahead of him gets dinged up. Ankle, hammy, whatever. Then he gets a chance to dress and maybe make a name for himself. Honestly, no hate on him, but I love our guys and I hope it doesn’t happen, but I’ve been watching football for a long time. It happens, and we may be pleasantly surprised.
  7. That happened right in front of us. Somebody here tried to tell me that was a myth. You know, one of “them”. I saw it live, I saw it on replay in normal speed and slow motion. Sorry, bud, it’s not a “myth”. I wonder what the old “percentage of chance you will win” would have said with us at the goal line. Pretty darn high. Regardless, a bruising running game is what we have been trained to fear, deservedly. This will be a real test. Every game scares me, and this is no exception. I’m cautiously optimistic, especially if we can score early and make them play catch up football. Having said all THAT, the myth that they own us and blow us out every time is in fact just that……..a myth. It’s almost freaky that we didn’t win that game. I heard a stat I can’t source or verify, but Josh was like 14-1 getting a first down on 4th and one, and the only other time he failed was a bobbled snap. Snap happens! 🤷‍♂️
  8. No kidding! What are you, like a couple thousand years old? What is your secret?
  9. I’ve been to 3-4 games in Nashville. I’ll never forget the first game, sitting next to an older couple. She looked like a frail, old grandmother right out of central casting. Her white hair up in a bun and so petite you’d fear a good breeze might blow her over and break a hip. Then the game started. She started cussing like a sailor at the top of her lungs, and she had one healthy set of lungs! It was absolutely HYSTERICAL!
  10. You seem to be quite excited!!! I mean…..REALLY, REALLY EXCITED! A man of many threads! We all are. But it’s just one game.
  11. Our family had season tix and I collected boxes of those things! Long gone, of course, but they were great! We have a nice man cave that currently only has a Bills banner hanging. I have room for a few select movie posters, and in another section I plan to have a collection of those old program covers in frames. I’m thinking Patriots, Jets, Dolphins (division foes) and Oilers games (I was actually looking at the one above). I think they are about $25 to $30+/- each, so it’s not a huge investment, but any old Bills fan walking in will have an instant appreciation for those iconic pieces of art. I think the son (?) of the guy who did those covers was a poster here at some point. Maybe still is? Nice legacy to bring a warm feeling to people with your art long after you are gone. Good news for Monday night? They added another Rally bus from my location. Bad news? Hotels rates almost doubled in the last 10 days. .
  12. Rodgers worst quality is his unwillingness to take chances, and make plays. The guy doesn’t have comeback wins because he plays it too safe. Not to mention his smugness. I’ll take the guy who is all about winning over the guy who just wants to look good while thinking he’s better than everyone else. Screw award chasers. I’ll take Josh! .
  13. It would have been a good bit worse if Diggs had realized Ramsey had fallen down behind him and not just stepped OB after one catch. You could see he was upset when he realized Ramsey was on the turf.
  14. I have not yet had a single complaint from a neighbor. We are in new territory.
  15. This is the time to go mistake free, and say “sorry, but you can’t keep up.” That was my cocky personality. I’m scared to death!
  16. Whadaya say we just call it 28-0 and get to bed early tonight?
  17. I explained it well before then, like almost immediately in a responding post. You just wanted to keep arguing. To be fair, your first question was in fact a question, but your reputation precedes you. My bad if I assumed too much knowledge and took your question the wrong way. I thought it was clear the very first time, without edit. I don’t argue NASCAR with anyone. Regardless, we have a football game tonight. Let’s focus on that. I think she actually got married. Could be wrong there. Must be a tough lifestyle with all the travel. Wish her all the best in every aspect of her life. It takes a special person to have that level of drive given that she could probably live a cushier lifestyle if desired. We’ve known tour players, and it’s a serious grind!
  18. I said victories in Majors. That is matches, not titles. I’m not going back to find the exact quote, but I even edited it for people unfamiliar with tennis who would not know what that means. Show me where I said titles, please. You asked which ones she won. That sounds like someone who is not very familiar with professional tennis, or a snarky comment. Maybe you shouldn’t take such a firm and argumentative position without better understanding. I took the first post by you as snark. I apologize. You just don’t know what you are talking about when it comes to tennis. I assumed a higher level of understanding, hence my snarky perception, so that’s my bad. Again, I edited the post so hopefully those with zero idea about tour tennis can understand.
  19. Thank you, that is simple and true. You don’t make the quarters with one good stroke. You don’t even win in club tennis with one stroke. How many of these people posting have played or seen tennis live at a high level? If you’ve only seen it on TV, you have no idea how good the BAD players are!
  20. This is true, and I mentioned that above. Every player has things to work on. That is where she should start. Now, if Swiatec were out of the way? Maybe losing in another bracket? It COULD happen now, but some tweaks will improve her odds. I’d also say it’s not impossible for her to beat Swiatec on the right day, under the right conditions. Hell, we lost to the Jags last year! I responded to a guy who said she was just average other than her forehand, and it turned into this. There is a giant chasm between “average” and “elite”. She is in there somewhere.
  21. Nope. He said other than her forehand her strokes (a/k/a her GAME) is just average, and that is incorrect. If you have a single weakness (say, a weak backhand) you will NEVER see an opportunity to hit a forehand without getting run off the court. Nobody is “polite” on tour, they will pick on your weaknesses relentlessly, and without a shred of remorse. My “claim” was not “dubious”, I stated a FACT. She won more matches in Majors than everyone but Swiatec this year. It’s not a straw man, as people often like to say when they are proven wrong. She’s a top 10 player in the world (#8 currently), and the top US woman. She can’t get past Swiatec, but that is very rare for anyone. Swiatec has roughly DOUBLE the WTA points as the #2 player. Pegula and average should not be used in the same sentence. “Average” does not make it to top 10 in the world. You are not the best female player in the country with an “average” game. You just don’t like being wrong, or you just like to argue and look silly. Get over it.
  22. I just went to set up the recording of the game and I had three options: record the game, record Bills and record Rams. This is new to me. Does this mean you get the Bills commentators for WNY feed or something? I chose to just record the game, but am curious what the other options yield. Any answers? Should I change it? He’s here……
  23. I don’t see “I’m fairly confident I won’t vomit before kickoff” as an option. I’m not usually like this, but then the Bills are not usually in this situation with these expectations. Remember: win or lose, it’s only ONE game. Let’s not “fire everyone!” if we are behind at halftime. Please?
  24. As a kid I used to play where Jimmy Arias played indoors in the winter. It made it fun to follow him. As an adult we moved into a country club community in Florida. The guy on the court next to me executed a beautiful serve and volley and I thought “oh boy! We’ve got some good players here! This is going to be great!” As it turns out, I was playing next to Jimmy Arias again! He was teaching top juniors in the area out of our club. He also coached our kids high school team where his daughter was enrolled. Nice guy. A buddy took lessons from him and Dave McPherson (who coached the Bryan Brothers for years). When he was getting a lesson from one, the other would come by and tell him to do the opposite of what he was being coached. Then they would just argue about it for half of his very expensive lesson! 😂
