My highlight of the day was Josh trying to hurdle the guy who was standing tall near the goal line. Needless to say, I don’t think that was how it played out in Josh’s mind in the moment. Is it true he was a safety on Josh’s team in college? I guess he saw that one coming. It’s OK to get a chuckle out of that after a comfortable win. Great to have a bounce back game like that. Get that first drive out of the way on D, and take what they give you on offense. . .

You could probably start your own streaming show with Romo rooming with Richie Incognito. I’d be curious enough to keep one eye on that!

I’m pretty sure Milano grew up with a traditional set of parents, born in the typical way. Romonowski was allegedly produced in a Petri dish at a Roid Rage Facility, then discarded as overly dysfunctional. How long did you do?

As one of the national guys (that many of you will recognize) says, it is not important HOW the 49ers got a QB. What is important is THAT they got a QB. They wasted a lot of ammo trading up for a wasted high first round o pick, but they got a guy to do the job on the cheap. I’m not giving up on Elam by any means, but we have guys who can play CB in the NFL. It would be worse if we had to play him because we lacked better options.

OK, so if I ever get pulled over for reckless driving, I’ll try the “but it was the good kind of reckless” defense! 😋

Wasn’t there talk of moving Benford to safety last year? Looks like Elam needs to figure it out before we can consider that. But maybe in 2024?

Remember when we would have just gone ahead and played Elam? “He just needs some experience.” We’d have to, because we had so little to work with. The slow start and possible bust hurts, but I’m happy we have some pretty good CB’s ahead of him.

DPI spot fouls in the NFL can cost you A LOT more than if you get caught for the same thing in college. I’m not panicking. We got a starting CB in the draft, just not where we thought we’d find him. I’ll be patient for now, because there is nothing I can do other than make myself crazy over it. I see no point in that.

It’s true that some of it is self-inflicted. It is also true that they were jumping on top of him late, well after the play was over. Dumb is on us, dirty is on the Jets. If they want to call Milano for a weak taunt, you have to call launching a 340 pound man onto a QB’s head after the play a penalty. .

Maddy and “big” just don’t look right so close together…..but she makes it work.

I thought the look on his face was resignation to the worst having happened. He immediately knew what the injury was and that he was done for the year. As much as I generally don’t like him, I respected that and felt badly for the guy.

We had a defensive game plan to stop and NFL offense led by a future HOF QB. I think we were better prepared for that than the 14 OLinemen and a single WR we ended up facing. I liked our early pressure, but I don’t know what to make of the rest of that.
