The New McDermott - Great Buscaglia Article
Augie replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall
The bold is simply not true, and I think you know that. You just don’t like it. We get that. We lost a LOT of veteran leadership and the cap is a problem. I know many, many Bills fans who are not in the media who expected this year to be one of adjustment and challenges. And it’s not a defense mechanism. You labeled it that to push your agenda. I’m just looking at the situation. “Realist” can be used in different ways. Of course Josh and the team didn’t give up on the season before it began. That is irrelevant and ignores the facts. -

EVERY team has holes. That’s just a fact of life. This was supposed to be a down year, and yet here we are. I’ll watch it play out and hope for the best. Next season we will have more cap space and plenty of draft capital, so maybe we can improve some of our weak spots. -

There was another dad on my son’s basketball team who would seek me out at every gym we went to. I think he thought we were friends, but it got to the point other people didn’t want to be around me, because they knew he would show up and they didn’t want to have to create distance in his presence because it was awkward when people ran from his stench. So there I was. 🤢 🤮 I’m not saying he needed full body deodorant, but at the very least a very long walk in the rain would be a nice start and make the world a better place. It was horrific, and my wife and son still kid me about it decades later. There was no escaping him! If I went to the restroom or concession stand and took a different seat, he’d hunt me down all over again!

…..AND, the exact reason you don’t give it to him. Browns fans can thank Haslam. -
AP All-Pro Teams Announced. Josh 2nd Team Only Bill.

Notre Dame has one 5 Star recruit, and they are beating teams with 15-20. Those are just labels handed out by strangers. It’s a team game. -
I remember somebody, maybe the Patriots, quick kicking on us on third down deep in their own end on a super windy day. The wind blew the damn thing and it rolled almost the length of the field. All the had to do was get it past the unexpecting safeties, and let it roll…………

Or, is it more likely that the bum was lazy and cut corners in rehab? -

I feel for Browns fans. I can feel their pain. I have a buddy who is a Browns fan, which is a very hard thing to be. -
Well, I guess there is that. I’m not offended by the upset talk. Every game scares me to death.

I suppose they could be handy in a toilet paper shortage. 🤷♂️

I worked full time in season since I was 14. I did odd jobs offseason. I didn’t buy cheap, but it all lasted 25+ years with very high quality.

If only it had been better maintained. I borrowed $1,000 (1977) from my father and worked to pay it off. This stuff went to college with me freshman year, and by my Junior year it was the music you heard on Animal House. Our house with a dozen guys in the only off campus housing between school and the only bar you could walk to. It was an ugly scene, and the house was briefly condemned when we moved out. The tweeters needed to be soldered but I held them together with Qtips and tape. The foam had turned to dust. Like an old dog, it was time. We got tired of moving it.

Have you seen the Tin Man lately? Oil my ass. The Rock used to look like Kevin Hart. Oh, and steroids. For machines, it’s new. Can’t leave that out.

There is a time and a place for both. We had my old Yamaha receiver, Technic turntable and Advent speakers that doubled as furniture for many years. It was awesome and very hard to beat for sound quality. I’m older now, and a huge fan of convenience, so that stuff went to the farm. Like an old car, you eventually just have to put it down. The side benefit is my house doesn’t remind me of my old dorm rooms anymore. 😊 EDIT: I just realized that when we added the surround sound in the family room we did do the whole shebang with Marantz and the big subwoofer, etc, but we don’t use that when we listen to music. My wife just does the Sonos speakers nearest us. .

So, I’m guessing that you DO believe in space, and stuff like that. You seem to have a very scientific mind. I had heard that we might get a little something in ATL, but I had no idea they closed school already. Given the local track record, that’s probably for the best. 😂 -
Regardless of whether you escrow for taxes and insurance, the lender is noted as the mortgagee at closing. They are notified by the insurance company if coverage lapses for any reason. Without insurance on the collateral, the lender is exposed to enormous losses that nobody in their right mind would find acceptable. I mean, think about it. Nobody is going to lend me hundreds of thousands of dollars unsecured, but without insurance that’s effectively what they would be doing. Some people who pay cash or retire/pay off their mortgage (as we are about to do) elect to “self-insure”, a/k/a roll the dice and take their chances. I sleep better knowing we are properly insured.

It should go in the trash.

I was supposed to be in Oceanside in a few weeks. My son and his wife have a wedding there, and the wife was going to babysit for them so she invited me. Unfortunately, it was bad timing as she has to go direct to NYC from CA so I’m staying home with the dogs. I’ve heard no updates regarding the wedding and whether the venue is still standing. Prayers to your dad and all the people affected by this.

If you have a mortgage then insurance will be required to protect the lenders collateral. If you don’t have the property insured, they can and will force place insurance to protect themselves. That is never the cheapest way to go.

Sounds like a loose and casual working atmosphere. EDIT: Imagine those Christmas parties! .

The mere suggestion, in my mind, is semi-worthy of consideration for a permaban. But let’s give it 36-48 hours and see if it just happens anyway……
