  1. I would want him on my intramural old man YMCA basketball team. If he was good enough to play in the NFL today, he would be playing in the NFL today. He’s not. They gambled on Crowder, he got hurt, and here we are. That’s life in the NFL. We need a great young and cheap player to play that Beasley role. The slot guy who sits in the weak spots of a zone. Time to look at the Lions game.
  2. I won’t argue the math. I think processing speed and foot speed are part of the same formula. There is a sweet spot.
  3. Do you see how badly you scared us!?!? But I’m glad you stuck to the nutritionist recommended beverages.
  4. Long term? If he doesn’t respond soon, will you start getting nervous?
  5. Are you looking for a cleanse? I hope? Happy that you made the trip, created the memories and helped bring home a W!
  6. So, are you saying we have the rest of the week to look forward to? 😋
  7. The Beasley of old. If he could still play, he would still be playing.
  8. Yeah, hardly a west coast trip, much less Europe. Will Seattle ever play in Munich? I guess only if they pissed off the wrong person.
  9. Didn’t you hear? Good GM’s have Pro Bowlers backing up the All Pros at every position! You can’t be deep everywhere. There is no team in the NFL that doesn’t wish they had a few more players at some positions, especially this late in the season. Nothing and nobody is perfect, but I like where we stand for the most part, even with some shallow positions. For goodness sakes, these clumps of injuries, especially with DB’s, is just dumb luck and we need to fight thru it now, then address it in the offseason. Every offseason. Beane is my guy for doing that!
  10. I won’t name names regarding who fails to do that the most, because I don’t want to get grief in the Karma thread that comes after we play.
  11. Is this like playing “I spy”? How many hints do we get? .
  12. I have not been at practice, nor have I sat in on all his meetings with trainers and doctors. Therefore, I have no desire to have a firm yet completely uninformed opinion.
  13. Are you announcing that you are running for HC? 😋
  14. People want to fire the DC, fire the OC, fire the HC…………and some times it comes down to dumb luck. Not saying people don’t have to be accountable, but you can’t start over every year. Look at the team we just played. There is your answer if you are asking how that turns out. .
  15. Very eloquent. I concur.
  16. Our neighbor/architect is designing the most expensive home built in the Detroit area in like 100 years. I think it’s Gross Point. My wife didn’t realize what a big deal he is and had him come down and do plans to redesign our kitchen. He was too polite to say no, so he walked up the road and knocked it out of the park where others had failed. I told the wife she just hired Monet to paint our closet. I haven’t been to the Detroit area since I was in college. I know they have dangerous areas, like any city, but places like Gross Point are absolutely beautiful. Lots of old money there.
  17. FWIW - We have a neighbor who is an architect who works all over the world. He currently is doing a VERY expensive home outside of Detroit and he told me the area is making a nice comeback.
  18. You seem to be doing a great job, and I’m happy for you. But this is the big leagues. If viewed as an iceberg, you are nowhere near getting above the water line. You seem to have a nice little business. I wish you well, I really do. I’m happy for you, but I’m a bit concerned that you think your world is equivalent to the NFL. I don’t know what you do, but I bet you are not competing with 31 other billionaires who are out to crush you. It’s a spectrum. Selling hot dogs on the side walks of NYC can make for you a nice life. Being an NFL owner is a bit different. Most people are in between.
  19. Yes, I/we have endured some of what you have been posting. Results are things like going to the playoffs 4 of 5 years and being the Super Bowl favorite according to Las Vegas. Little things like that. It’s not just my opinion. It’s big boys. But you feel free to be you. I’m sure you were class valedictorian and have very high standards.
  20. “Upstate” is upstate. It doesn’t matter where the dart lands if it’s not NYC. There is NYC…..and then there is the rest of the state, which is “upstate” of NYC. I have a terrible habit of correcting and informing people regarding that little geography tidbit. I’m sure more than one person has asked themselves “where the hell did that just come from?” when I was done. 🤷‍♂️ We all have our quirks. .
  21. That’s all that needs to be said, really. He’s still there because he gets results. If not, he would have been fired already. And look at that top 5 group. They were HC’s decades longer, and other than Bellichick they don’t exactly have a collection of rings….and BB could only do it with Brady. It’s hard to win a Super Bowl.
  22. Brentwood has some really beautiful and wealthy areas. Lots of rich (a good thing) and famous (not for me, thanks) people live there. The only downside is I think old Rex Ryan lives there.
  23. If you are old enough and remember Bob Kauffman, forward for the Braves, this might mean more. He lived in our neighborhood and my sister would babysit their kid. Super nice guy! The detached garages between us were easy to get on top of with HUGE drifts! I jumped down into the drift below me on one end only to hear a loud THUMP! His VW Bug with a sunroof he used to goof around with was just under the snow. OOPS! Stuff happens!
  24. ….but I’m wasted and I can’t find my way home…..
