  1. A friend just sold his decent but not great seats for the Bill/Bengals game Monday night for $390 each. I can’t imagine getting into an AFCCG for less than that. I could afford to go to a Super Bowl, but the cheapskate in me just can’t justify those prices. I might feel differently if I had not already attended one SB, the game vs Redskins in frigid Minneapolis. That did not end well. Hell, it didn’t even START well with Thurman looking for his helmet!
  2. I want him to be appointed GM for life, and then he lives to be 200.
  3. One of the benefits of high draft picks is you get a good shot at getting a good player on the cheap for 4-5 years. It would have to be a very special situation to give up that high pick AND have to pay them top dollar. Yes, we need more WR talent, but we also need to fix the Oline. If the OL is better, so is our run game, which also helps our passing game. Win in the trenches and life gets easier.
  4. I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear that. Could you post that in a bigger font?
  5. That’s my age. It makes me reluctant to get out of bed in the morning. He’s certainly a bright man and and effective coach worth an interview, but I see most teams leaning to younger and offensive guys who can be there a decade or two.
  6. And they have the one piece a HC needs to be successful, a proven QB. It’s a shame they squandered so much draft capital and cap space. Digging out of that mess will be a chore. Nice to have options as a well regarded Head Coach in the NFL.
  7. This is like a scrimmage against the JV after what they have been through.
  8. We try VERY hard to avoid it. Not just with friends, I’ve had immediate family members well leaning to opposite sides. We’ve learned to just stay away. I never had a falling out with friends, but it takes a bit of work so most drift away. That’s especially true at my age where we didn’t grow up with computers, much less cell phones and social media. It was SO EASY to lose track of folks then.
  9. He told me he was very disappointed to not receive a special gift from you. He thinks he gets screwed with his Birthday following Christmas, and he’s a bit angry. I told him something VERY special was on it’s way. Get to work! 😋 Our younger son’s best friend growing up was a great kid. We met his parents thru the kids and they became some of our closest friends. My wife hired their daughter a few years ago and has mentored her in her career. During high school they drifted apart. We didn’t know why, but my wife snooped and learned his friend had gotten into the drug scene. He begged him to get out. He even offered to buy the drugs from him to flush them shortly before the end. My wife planned his funeral shortly after that. Not an OD, a broken neck still considered an open homicide case. Dealing with the wrong people. I had a great childhood growing up in Williamsville. We moved there for my 4th grade year. Lots of friends all into the same stuff. Only a few have lasted, though I’d love to get together with any/all of them. I’m on a text thread with 3 of them, including the kid who grew up across the street. We text every week, if not daily. What do we mostly discuss? The Bills, of course!
  10. AGAIN. Like with Morse, with each successive concussion the risk becomes more severe. I don’t know what the answer is, but Tua is not big enough or athletic enough to protect himself. I do think there should be some some of penalty for the Dolphins for allowing this to happen repeatedly. I suggest all their draft picks be awarded to the Bills for the back spasm/roasted opponent game when this all began. Who is with me??? 😋 The Epenesa “hit” was really just a shove, and he wound up concussed. That was about as gentle as professional football can be, and he was broken. He’s certainly not helping his team tossing multiple ugly picks with his foggy mind. I want the Dolphins to lose, but not like that.

    Prayer Request

I pray that in time the family and loved ones come to feel the love on Christmas Day and not let their loss define the day. It will always be in their minds, but eventually there can be more smiles and laughs, and far fewer tears. God bless.
  12. I’m hoping for a career day for Groot!
  13. Rookie mistake. Not married yet. You don’t want bad things to happen to the goose that lays the Golden Eggs. Better luck next time!
  14. The Packers are voting for Tua for MVP and rumor is he’s also getting a game ball from them.
  15. I started that rumor. I’ve been drinking since the second quarter. I’m also the pilot!
  16. I’m going with half time. That’s my final answer.
  17. They will probably count exactly how many in the spring.
  18. But a very serious hobby, and we are thankful for that. It’s not like my tennis or gardening, for sure. Thanks for your efforts and input here. .
  19. I remember @Gugny telling me that was on you for not keeping better company. 😋 I’ve never had a problem, but I know it can be very real. If you are not a jerk, life tends to get easier. Be a jerk, or worse, a drunk jerk, and trouble will find you. On one trip back to OP I was sitting next to a young drunk Jets fan. He was harmless, but loud and obnoxious early when the Jets were doing well. He was getting a bit too much attention. I explained that I was just trying to help and I was all for him enjoying himself. THEN I explained that if he gets beer thrown at him and I get hit I was no longer trying to help him. It was like flipping a light switch. Something flashed in his eyes when he realized I was serious, and he was all alone. It worked, and we both stayed dry and healthy.
  20. There is a reason eskimos have so many words for snow. It comes in many different flavors. The snow that won’t pack is harmless. Then there is the other end of the spectrum, and that stuff can do serious damage!
  21. I hope any fan who does throw a snowball on the field gets carted off to the slammer. Just enough to get people’s attention. I hope they gear up with more security and make a high profile effort to remove those people pronto. That is no longer fun and games, it’s over the line. Others will see and learn.
  22. You take shots with guys like Von Miller, but they still are open about saying we are striving to attain long term success. The Rams sold their souls, but they do have a ring.
  23. Good luck! Safe travels! I get wanting to be with family, but we will have to settle for different celebrations at different times with family. It’s not storm related, just life getting in the way. I’m watching webcams from Buffalo and it’s nasty looking. I didn’t mind that TOO much around town, but long distance always concerned me after a friend spent a night in his car after he slid off the road during a storm in Nowhereville, Ohio. After that my girlfriend bought me some blankets to keep in my trunk……just in case.
  24. Yes, a bit. https://buffalowebcam.com/live-webcams/buffalo-ny-elmwood-ave-mr-pizza This does not make me miss my homeland, but it’s kinda fun to watch from my recliner in sunny (but chilly) Atlanta.
  25. I will give the same advice I always do in these situations: Don’t trust Bills Backers info you find on line. It may be helpful, but I’ve been burned that way in the past and have learned to call and verify. The info on line in some cases is out of date.
