I’m just here hoping I don’t show up…….

The NFL doesn’t own the hotels or restaurants and bars surrounding stadiums in non-NFL cities/stadiums. And they don’t care about local economies. They do not make money from that, and it’s not like games in Europe or Mexico trying to enter new markets. It would be a horribly stupid move to take playoff games away from the home fans that supported their teams all year. That would be pissing on your loyal fans, and I don’t think they are that stupid. Why punish the economies of your member cities? Why should THEY lose out on the playoffs? Horrible idea. College basketball does it because you have 64 teams from all over the country and they try to make travel reasonable for fans. .

Totally agree! It screws the team, and it’s fans, out of what was rightly earned in the regular season. Sure, move the draft around. There is no home field advantage in the draft or the combine. There is a HUGE home field advantage in the playoffs. Regular folks who attend often should be able to attend a home game if it’s earned. Forcing them to travel is unfair. A freakish and nearly tragic event took place on Monday night. Don’t let that be an excuse for screwing up what has worked great for years. But here’s the thing: How do they make MORE money? They just make money in a different place. I think it’s a stupid idea for a variety of reasons. Screw the fans often enough and you lose eventually.

We bought a house up the road about a year ago. The basement has a 100” projection TV. We asked if it worked and they said absolutely, but we never saw it on until after closing. It works great now, after we replaced the receiver. And the projector. And the front speakers. And the subwoofer. And the cable and satellite boxes. But that screen and those two side/rear speakers worked just dandy! 😋 I don’t mind a bit, because it makes me feel less guilty about what we paid for the house. They never listed it for sale, and their Realtor friend (who I used to work with) let it slip they just wanted to get what they paid for it 4-5 years ago. A lot has changed since then, and we got a steal. I can afford to fix a few things after paying a fraction of what the house is worth.

A friend of my wife once said to her “I’ve never done five guys”. My wife had never heard of the burger chain at that point, so……..what to make of that? 🤷‍♂️

Yep, we have had good luck with the LG brand.

….largely because of one play in college when he went completely unblocked. He’s got some Shaq Lawson in him, solid in ways but nothing spectacular and he seems to think he deserves star money.

My first big screen was in the early 90’s. It was a 60” Mitsubishi rear projection TV. It was about 3’ deep and we had a giant oak entertainment center built to go around it. Our most recent TV is a 77’ LG OLED 4k with an amazing picture. It is mounted above a fireplace and it’s about as thick as a single credit card. Seriously. The change has been absolutely amazing.

That’s good to know. If you drank from the big bottle you might need to pee so bad you wind up in the ladies room out of desperation. AGAIN!

I’m hoping “throwing it away” is a euphemism for chugging it, followed by a record breaking BEEEEEEEELCH! EDIT: Where is the option to keep it…..AND get another??? We’re all coming to Gugny’s place, so he’s going to need a LOT more! .

When do we get decent content for 4k TV’s? I have a couple, but I’m not sure why.

My son just turned 30. He moved up to Atlanta near us and and 2-3 years ago he had to got to a sports doc for lingering results of a stinger his senior year in HS. He finished the season thanks to a “friendly” neurosurgeon who made house calls. My son’s platonic female friend tipped the decision with “but Dad, it’s Senior Night!” He did not pursue recruiter interest from smaller schools. We had them play every other sport until High School. They got stronger, improved their feet, endurance and hand eye coordination. The best athletes can just start doing it, and at a high level. Ask Tony Gonzales.
