Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
Augie replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
We took our big swing with Von this year. Unfortunately, our shiny new toy got broken. I hope he’s completely ready for the playoffs next year. He’s a closer! You don’t get to take big swings every year. That would cripple your roster. You don’t want to only be able to shop in the bargain bin in Free Agency. As Beane has said, they want to build for sustainable success. -
IDK, but for exotic trips like that they go with their regular guide who does these trips all the time. Nice to have someone who knows the ropes. She just recently got back from 3 weeks in Hawaii. It seems I’m doing something wrong. 🤷♂️

My sister is on vacation in Vietnam and has sent some amazing photos. It’s not a place that would be at the top of my list, but it seems she’s been almost everywhere else. It certainly looks beautiful. Kliff can take a year off if he wants and come back refreshed.

Very sorry to hear this. Rachel is at peace, and I hope you and the family can take some comfort in knowing that. RIP Rachel. One more Bills fan in Heaven.

Please tell me she doesn’t check this board. 😋 But it might be wise to name Augie as your beneficiary. You wouldn’t want her to somehow get away with it and profit in any way.

That was a nice day, and frankly an unexpected win if I recall. You got a great location. I hope the Bills come here (because it means we are still in it), but I’d rather we host in OP!

You probably want to get a Mega Millions ticket and pray for the best. 🤷♂️

I’ll sell you some! 😋 What are the odds this game even happens? We need for it to come to be before tickets are available, I’m sure. I’m all in on one week at a time, but this is a little distracting.

….and right now, the only thing that counts is Miami. But yes, if you don’t plan ahead you can be too late. Airfare, car rentals and hotels, IF you can get them, will spike similar to the way they do for the Bills home opener. Atlanta is so much bigger it can more easily absorb a single big game, but I bet now is as cheap as it will be.

I meet a guy in a tennis league and we’re doing the whole where are you from, what do you do for work thing. He said “I’m from the armpit of the United States”. I said “Oh, Gary, Indiana?” He said “so you’ve been there!” I told him I drove through one time, and that’s all I needed to see. 😂 Winter sucks here with too many gray days in the 40’s and rain, but at least it’s relatively brief. I don’t mind the heat of summer, in fact I like that part. It’s just too big for my taste, but we (the wife and son) are here to make money. Atlanta has career type jobs that were not available in our previous home towns (Hilton Head Island and Sarasota, FL). In fact, few cities rival Atlanta for work opportunities. Oh well…..a few more years for my wife.

Yeah, but other than that………. 😋 It’s not my first choice of where to live, but there are also much worse places to be.

I can see the downtown stadium in the distance on my one mile drive to the grocery store. I’m trying to take it one game at a time, but that just became a challenge! This would be AMAZING! The Bills had a good showing last time they played here when the stadium was new. I’m sure the AFCCG will draw a great red, white and blue crowd!

Keep me in mind if you strike gold!

I just looked and Delta alone has 3 daily direct flights to Buffalo in the morning, late afternoon and evening. That’s not horrible options. No telling what other airlines may have.
-
Despite living in Atlanta, I’m not a huge fan of the city. But they do host major events well, I must say. With the Atlanta airport you will get more flight options (most likely direct flights) than just about any other city. It may be a little greater distance, but it’s easy to get to from anywhere. It’s only about a 2 hour flight to Buffalo, so that’s no big deal. My wife needs to be here as the airport makes it easier for her to travel and do her job. Indy was booked and Cincinnati and Chicago are outdoors (with Cincinnati being one of the teams potentially involved). It seems the dome/weather was a priority for the decision makers. .

That was a misunderstanding. He has two butlers, but only one pantry. They have to share. Sad, I know……

Actually, I hear @Royale with Cheese is a land Barron with a very accommodating estate.

He planned ahead just for this possibility. His dog is named Kidney. . -

I am a “probably”, mostly because I don’t want to get too far ahead of things. It would be a treat not having to pay for the airfare, car rental and hotel for a change. That would make the cost of the tickets far more tolerable. For now I just hope we get that far. Let’s start by beating Miami! Oh, and if the Chiefs (and/or Bengals) don’t make it that far, I could live with that. We could use a few breaks for a change.
