I think you know I respect your opinions, so please take this as it is meant: Can you explain dark energy and dark matter to me? And why does it make up for about 95% of the universe, while things we “know” as in can see or touch is reportedly a tiny part of what we think is out there. I don’t want to go near any gray areas here, but the universe never revolved around the Earth. To think they knew enough to declare that is pure hubris in my mind. I’m wide open to any and all opinions. I can’t say I know enough to even have an opinion. EDIT: To be fair, many sources say dark energy/matter are 96%, while others say it’s “only” 68-72%, which goes to further support the point, which is…..I dunno! And I don’t think they do either. .

Either that, or he’s living in the attic and has cameras and microphones hidden all OVER that house. ….probably one of the two.

I don’t think we are nearly as smart as we think we are. Forget answers, we don’t even know the questions.

When I was in high school at St Joe’s they made us read some NDE books by Dr Raymond Moody and Elizabeth Kubler Ross (why do I still remember those names?). It made me curious enough to read countless (dozens, I’m sure) other books and accounts over the years since. I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. I’m just saying it can make you very curious. I just watched a fairly recent 20 minute YouTube clip with Dr Moody. It’s an interesting watch, IMO. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwir-pXu16f9AhUFiO4BHfWnCFwQwqsBegQIERAF&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DIy-4QNq4HF4&usg=AOvVaw0uRSFbJbDDuKzHY-05aaXh EDIT: Ooops! But you get the idea.

My mother got a message a few days ago that a friend of ours, a priest from another state, had sent her a SOS and pinned a map indicating he was very close to where she lives. She is 95 years old and panicked! What to do? The message said she was being notified because she was on his emergency contact list. She can’t take care of herself at this point! But we had to convince her to ignore it to keep her safe. They have a knack for picking on the most vulnerable among us. Yes, the priest had been hacked and it lead to all kinds of complications like having to close all his bank accounts. This resulted in him not having any income for a couple months while things were straightened out. I’m all for public flogging of scammers.

“It doesn’t mean that much to me, to mean that much to you.” ”If you don’t stand up, you don’t stand a chance.” OKAY, lyrics, not sayings, but I like them. A buddy in college would let people into his dorm room to write whatever we wanted and was inundated with hammered college kids stumbling home from the bars. A couple cans of paint and a roller cleared it all up at the end of the year. Can anyone name the songs/artists?

We split season tix to the Braves. My sister used to babysit Bob Kauffman’s kid. Loved them back then. Enjoyed the Bird/Magic years, and the Jordan years. That was fun. We would promise to take the kids to an NBA game at times when traveling. “It’s Lebron playing the Celtics tonight. Play your cards right and we will go, but you have to behave.” It actually worked sometimes. Then there was that weeknight in Charlotte. The younger son was a tough little AAU point guard. We probably had $800 into taking them to a Hornets game. About 3 minutes in my son turned to me and said “they’re not even trying!” Yep! Last time I ever paid to attend, and I was relieved. Now? I don’t even watch the Finals. I just do not care. When Cowherd or somebody else even talks NBA, I change the channel. It’s that simple. I still love college hoops and follow Xavier and the Big East pretty closely. They care and they try.

When Milano barely pushed him and he fell back and slammed his head on the turf you knew there was a problem. Tua falling looks a little like EJ trying to slide. WHY IS THAT SO HARD? EJ looked like a baby giraffe sliding. Did he never even play tee-ball?

Draft Strategy. Play to Beane’s strengths!
Augie replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are you saying we should NOT draft exclusively left handed people in an attempt to become more creative on both offense and defense? I’d like to see more creativity on both sides of the ball, but we need to horses to make that happen! -
Enjoy those blessed years! They are special and you will never forget them. The right driving range might give you all the answers you need. If they have junior clubs, go try it a few weekends here and there. You’ll know soon enough. If she’s not very athletic, golf may be perfect for her. Not at college or pro play making a living. Just having something she enjoys doing with friends and family is a huge win! Our son married into a family that golfs almost daily. I can’t hang with him anymore, but I’m not slow!!!

Yeah, he’s not the only idiot on the internet. We have a club and he shows up sometimes, but it’s always full. EDIT: for the record, I’m not driving that far to look at anything that inexpensive. I don’t blame you: HOW BIG!!!???? I don’t know what your other options are, but there must be a Play It Again Sports or something similar nearby. Unless she’s a prodigy, I say start cheap and see if a passion grows. I’ll pay for passion, but not for a brief curiosity.

I’ve got about 100k miles on my Toyota, and she has about 10k more on her Lexus SUV. We feel like we should replace one now, because it would suck to replace two at the same time. BUT WHY? We’ve never had any trouble with either. I have my “things” in life, stuff I’m into and I’m willing to spend for. Cars cannot see the top of the list from where they sit. Just be reliable. Side Note: I think I got that way living and working in a bank in Hilton Head, SC right after college. I saw a LOT of people driving beautiful cars that were….as I learned, 30-60 days behind on payments. They get to drive their fancy car out to dinner one more night, hoping the credit card wasn’t declined. Those were people aggressively living on the edge.

I don’t think I have hand waxed, or had someone else hand wax, a car since I’ve been an adult. (We were poor in the beginning!) I’m not picky about cars (I’ll drive them forever and let the dogs make a mess shedding on the way to the park or the vet) and it doesn’t need to be perfect. We take the wife’s SUV if we have people or need to arrive sans fur coating. My finish is dull though. It’s supposed to warm up next week, so I may give it a shot for old times sake and see if I can get my 2014 Avalon to look a little happier. The wife wanted to replace it, but I will have NONE of that. The dogs and I have broken it in properly. Why start ruining a different car?

I’m curious to know more about what you refer to as going on wet and washing off. Is that like a sealant/spot preventer after washing and waxing? Like that last phase in the drive thru car wash? The drive thru car washes around us barely touch my nasty tires. They get the body of the car “just OK”, but the rims are grimy! There is a Car Spa that is more detailed, but I don’t want to sit in their lobby that long. Guys in the parking garage where the wife works was awesome! And convenient as it gets. But they moved on after a few years. I used to “detail cars” in the neighborhood as a kid before that was a thing. We washed and waxed your car, and did a pretty good job IMO. Did the tires, Windex for windows and mirrors, vacuumed, etc. We not only made good money for young kids, but there was something soothing and satisfying about it, like when you finish cutting the grass and edging everything. It’s a good feeling.

Average penis size has been growing the last 30 years

I don’t think I want to know how you came about this information. -
….waste of my time. He seems to have an agenda and thinks he’s smarter than the rest of us.

Clearly the intent here is to once again point out how poorly the Bills have drafted. It’s also biased and an utter waste of time. If guys are “gone” that doesn’t mean they were a bust. Some are gone because they were too good and we couldn’t afford to pay what other teams were offering them. Other guys are gone and we received value for them in a trade. Names in red are not all wasted picks. If we are so terrible at drafting, why are we a top 5 team in the league. We can’t draft, and we can’t coach, yet we are still a top team in the NFL. Something is wrong with that picture.

He was a little like Kelly. He might have a ring or two if he was willing to run the ball a little more. Some degree of balance is critical in most aspects of life. .

That would have been a TOTALLY different sight. No doubt.

My brother-in-law a few hours away in Greenville, SC had kids in school with Zion Williamson. You had to buy season tickets to get into those private high school hoops games! On Prom night they had a bunch of kids over for a pool party. The doorbell rings, and Zion joins the party. His parents came to be sure this was a more wholesome environment than the first prom party. (I freely admit I could fit into either party.) EDIT: To clarify, nobody I knew went on to be famous. But even better, some went on to be quite successful without being famous!

This will come off as whining to some folks, but that WNY weather did not help us against the Bengals in the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the better team won. But Brady, Mahomes and others have said how a slick field favors the passing game. It’s hard to get traction for any speed rush. Because we play so much zone, it’s also harder on the DB’s to break quickly on the ball. We lost to a better team, we got crushed because of our scheme and unfortunate circumstances. We will know when the stars have aligned. We are but mere mortals, never meant to understand why we have to endure as we do.

Keep working at it, it’s not as easy as it should be! The Bills and everything related certainly don’t help that.
