  1. How about you and I split that spare change??? 😋
  2. I’m not negotiating his deal, or defending the team. All the other QB’s are able to get their deals done. Reasonable people with experienced representation. Piece of cake! Done deals all over. Lamar is the outlier. Why is that? What is different? He wants 100% guaranteed which is a precedent set by the idiot Browns owner, and his Mommy is his agent. This is pretty simple, and I’m tiring of it, nothing personal.
  3. Well, there are a dozen games he didn’t play, and he didn’t help. Most of them in the last 2 seasons. As he ages and slows, I don’t know that that will improve. That hurts his value in my mind. 🤷‍♂️ I love the guys winning percentage, and he’s fun to watch. I’m just not going to do anything that will set a bad precedent and possibly cripple the franchise for this, however.
  4. They won’t be the second. Kirk Cousins got 3 years fully guaranteed, but he wasn’t a pinball playing QB. I don’t like either, TBH. The Ravens are being the Ravens, playing it smart.
  5. This is an interesting point. Yes, everything we know got leaked by someone. (Whatever they offered was just that, a first offer, but I digress.) NOT having a qualified agent does not allow for the game to play out as it usually does in the real world. I’d like his chances more with better representation. The Ravens are a well run organization that seems to have smart people at the helm. The player, in this case, seems to be the wrinkle.
  6. He was offered a fair contract that seemed to be in line with his peers. It wasn’t good enough, because it wasn’t fully guaranteed. THAT is the problem. Does he deserve a better deal than Josh or Mahomes? I think not. Deshaun Watson is a dirt bag and Jimmy Halsey is an idiot and bad for the league.
  7. Fair enough, I trusted what I’ve read in numerous places. It looks like 11, and not 15. It’s still a lot. A guy who misses 5-6 games in each of the most recent seasons is not a guy I want to give 100% guaranteed money to. I’ll admit, I don’t even want JOSH to be fully guaranteed, but that’s a personal thing. Lamar has bad timing. Missing five games a year for a couple seasons, especially considering his size and style of game, is concerning. It’s also curious that there was mystery surrounding his injury and return late last year. Good representation helps deal with the image factor. His Mommy is doing him no favors. There should have been a better message regarding his status last season, instead of letting his status and availability for the playoffs to be questioned. Was it injury…..or the contract that kept him out? Nobody should have to wonder that. It’s a bad look. I don’t hate the player, but I hate fully guaranteed deals with guys who may not be there to earn the checks. I feel badly for him, because I feel he needs better advice. .
  8. I’m just glad the guy can walk after playing Gumby neck. That’s a miracle to me! Good for him. The rest is gravy.
  9. That’s a combination of ability, surrounding offensive parts and availability. He might have more impressive numbers if he hadn’t missed 15 games in the last two seasons. We’ll never know, however, since HE DID MISS 15 GAMES in the last two seasons. Sorry, that does not scream “fully guaranteed money is a good idea” to me. Josh is the better QB, and he has the physical build and determined mindset to remain available to his team. I hope we put him at risk less often next year, because it’s the NFL. Absolutely NOBODY is immune to that controlled violence. I’ve been told the human body is not meant to play the game. 😋

    Yolo update

Happy things are fine and thankful for the update. Wishing all the best.
  11. This is where you miss again. I HAVE no opinion this time of year. I’ve shared nothing about what we should do. I don’t know the FA’s, and I don’t know the draft class. I come here to learn this time of year. There are some people who have some opinions I value more than others. .
  12. This is the kind of solid reasoning that brings me back here. 😋
  13. There just might be a chance that you’d have your own impression, rather than just relying on questionable internet content from strangers. There are a lot of opinions out there. There are a handful of people here whose opinions I really value. They don’t just read internet stuff. They watch football to form opinions.
  14. Ummm, yep. 🤷‍♂️
  15. RIP - I guess that’s the ultimate flop.
  16. He’s a tough SOB, kind of like the Anti-Tua. I don’t suppose that is transmissible……but they wish it was. Of course, now that Tua is taking classes to learn how to fall down he’ll probably be the toughest QB in the league! I hate to kid about this, but that first concussion he was barely shoved. It drew a flag, but I’ve seen harder hits in flag football. That’s concerning, and I doubt it changes significantly.
  17. Absolutely NO smiling!
  18. This has been open since February 19th. Are you surprised it isn’t a little longer?
  19. I’ll go on the record, again, as being a guy thinking Gabe has a nice upswing next season. We shall see. Make other arrangements as well.
  20. I can understand that they put up with some bad impressions because it’s a touchy subject, but start taking their money? Yeah, I’m surprised they tolerated that!
  21. Rich Eisen showed up a few minutes late.
  22. I think there is probably a lot of truth to this regarding recruiting. If you are a 5 Star high school QB, you don’t pick a college that runs a gimmicky or run first offense. You want to be prepared for the next level, and look at programs that will showcase you and set you up for $ucce$$. EDIT: I have no idea what happened, but that was one strange interview and it left a lot of people wondering. 🤷‍♂️ .
  23. Thanks! That’s what I hear, but it’s fun for me and something to do. I took 6 years of it and took some standardized test with a couple other kids for my high school. I’m more concerned about Italy after Paris. We found in Spain and Portugal there was less english than I expected, and “donde esta el bano” came in VERY handy a few times when in need and looking at blank stares! That is something I thought to be accurate, but I don’t really know. I don’t want to be some arrogant American if I can help it. At least try a little.
  24. Not any more than I have to!!!
  25. Ha! Here’s the funny part! I’m sitting here brushing up on my minimal french skills using Duolingo in advance for a trip to Paris in a couple months. (I did take 6 years growing up, so I’m not starting from scratch.) Maybe that’s why my mind went here, but my iPad would have given me that damn buzzing sound! 😂
