  1. I agree it’s a weak excuse and didn’t decide the game. HOWEVER, seeing a stranger in the grocery store die of a heart attack is different than seeing your brother die of a heart attack. The Bengals won because they (players and coaches) kicked our tails, but the Damar going down before the Bengals too is not apples to apples.
  2. I agree, the second game felt like it was just finishing what was happening in the mini-game, but worse. The slippery conditions made it even more painful. We’ll never know for sure, but we’ll never forget it, either. I hope we see some tweaks on D with the DC and safeties coaches gone, but it will be much the same with McD as HC. What concerns me most is Dorsey. We need better protection and some weapons, but he needs to grow into that job in a hurry. .
  3. …or when guys who were never Bills but they decided he was the guy that they wanted in the draft does well. That can be insufferable. Especially when you don’t hear about it until they’ve been producing in the league a couple years. I honestly think it worked out quite well as a Bill, it just didn’t work out for a 2nd contract for a RB. We got a lot of production over 4 years for a 3rd round pick. I’m in a strange place. I really liked what he offered, his ability to make people miss and his 4.7 ypc. At the same time, I think more speed will be helpful, and I hope we can become more explosive.
  4. QUICK! Somebody call the Browns! You never know with those Browns!
  5. I have no idea how many locations they had or where they were located. It was just a taste of home for me while living in Florida. They even carried Canadian beer.
  6. I don’t think it’s just Buffalo, or just wings. We tend to elevate the memories from our youth. Wings (and pizza) were a treat when I was a kid. It’s part of the fabric of my younger years. But this applies more broadly as well. I don’t know about you, but any time I go back to somewhere I used to live it’s mostly a tour of my favorite foods. There are restaurants and bars I will make a point of hitting every time I go back to where I used to live. Three meals a day is not adequate to hit all the places I want to visit on most trips.
  7. Honestly, that was not serious. But our kids played against a lot of first rate talent. You could see the NFL kid without being a veteran scout.
  8. Such a gray area. I could have a long discussion on that, but this is not the place. Be well!
  9. This guy is actually unique. I had the tremendous foresight to get his autograph after his spring game in his sophomore year of high school.
  10. SERIOUS QUESTION: What percentage of people here do you think knew ANYTHING about this guy until the last hour? We tend to look them up and trust others. Some we trust more than others. At least I do.
  11. Are you too young for Mary Tyler Moore? Or out of your mind? 😋 She’s my #1, followed by my dear Samantha from Bewitched. Big drop after that, so I’ll ponder that a bit. EDIT: To be fair……I don’t recognize a single name on your list, so I’m too old. But I knew that. .
  12. I think he is exceptional at getting booed. I mean, he’s All World there! Everybody makes mistakes, and he’s made his too. He takes crap for the owners for a very nice living. But there are a LOT of people out there who just don’t like others having so much wealth. I don’t resent wealthy people. I’d like to be one some day! Sadly, my PowerBall adventure failed us, and I even got a ticket. Or did he pull an OBJ and go crypto??? Oops.
  13. How many years (OK, maybe days? Hours? 😋) would you need to do that job at that salary before feeling comfy about your situation? .
  14. Actually funny, but I must say….. He was willingly given a raise by the billionaire owners he works for. Have you ever apologized for getting a raise? I never heard he was holding out or anything. That’s change in the couch for these owners. 🤷‍♂️ NOW, are people shocked by the number of digits and comma’s in his salary? You bet! It’s natural. I get that. But at the same time look at the salaries of the heads of the biggest businesses in the country/world and it gives some perspective. The NFL is one giant arse money printing machine. It’s a lot of money, but it doesn’t shock me. I wonder if his contract is tied to gross revenue, ratings and bottom the line. One bite out of an elephant can be plenty.
  15. It is generally only proof that coaches speak. Not quite the same.
  16. Can we just put that on your tab? I guess Roger can afford to fix up his basement now. .
  17. Casa di Pizza in Bradenton is from WNY and always had solid food when I visited. The is a lot of good food in Florida, as is often the case in resort areas. People spend vacation dollars like Monopoly money. Little Sarasota has better restaurants than giant Atlanta, IMO.
  18. …..or, did he start the fire? He is from the Evil Empire, so…..
  19. Keep saying it! It might help?
  20. According to his Mommy, he wanted the $8 Billion fully guaranteed? I draw the line there!
  21. I think he will see that, in time. If he signs for the tag, then I assume he could be traded but nobody would take him without a deal worked out. I really don’t like fully guaranteed contracts. Guys like Dareus come to mind. It may be coming, but I hope it’s slowly.
  22. Well, he’s a lot smarter than most here. Seriously.
  23. But, has he ever played for the Panthers???
  24. I realize they were productive, but there were some predictability issues IMO, and all that long ball stuff was annoying at times. There were easier throws that would get chunks and move the chains. I don’t know if that was Josh, or the elbow, or what, but it could be maddening. I’d also like to be able to run the ball when we need to, and not just because it was so unexpected. Even the Bills have said they need to be better at that. You need to be able to run when they know you are going to run. That is how we close out games when we have a lead, which was a lot. Protect Josh, give him weapons and be versatile. We were good, and I think we can get better. “Big leap”? OK, maybe progress is a better term.
  25. Oh no, not at all! Some days I only make half that, yet somehow we manage to get by. 😋
