  1. One more reminder: Memories > Things
  2. It does limit you, however. That is why they love versatility so much. If you have a weak spot they will scheme to take advantage of it, much like we schemed to cover him up. Eventually they will figure it out. I hope he doesn’t have to play for extended periods, but as we saw last season hoping and praying does not keep football players healthy and available. He can certainly play a role in a good defense at times.
  3. Ohh, I remember my first 49th. HFBD!!! 🍺
  4. It quickly became apparent that Klein couldn’t handle the coverage aspect of the job, so they kept him closer to the LOS and used him to blitz (somewhat effectively) as I recall. If we won, it certainly wasn’t because of Klein. But they did improve how they used him, again, as I recall. .
  5. Can I ask you again this time next year? 😋 I have no idea about this guy, but I like that he started about 4 years, and he’s still “young” at 27. .
  6. Could be. We all make mistakes. The Cardinals took wrong Josh, but they owned it and moved on. Every team has their misses.
  7. I was probably there! We split season tickets with another family back then. Great memories. I loved the NBA back then I don’t even watch the Finals now. .
  8. I definitely believe he expects that. The million dollar question is will he turn out to be correct? And the natural follow-up question is what is plan B? I generally trust Beane, so this is a leap of faith. Things got rocky when Tremaine was out with injury. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
  9. I seem to recall Sister Jeanne teaching us that one in CCD. That lady kinda scared me! Sister Jeanne or the porn star you ask? BOTH!
  10. There you go with that LOGIC again! . Has one of those “proposed trades” ever actually happened? It might have once for something obvious but I don’t recall the details. I wish people would give that up.
  11. Unless you lived in a ****tier brick house, I suppose. Some realtor will take that listing, regardless. I knew I should have put a sarcasm warning or a smiley face or something. That one’s on me.
  12. We probably shouldn’t fit him for his Gold Jacket yet, he’s still a growing boy and may put some muscle on during his career. Ill, uh……..take your word for it! .
  13. As to the bold, some things just need to be expected and understood, lest you risk losing your mind. 😋
  14. I’m not sure why we are pigeonholing so much calling him a “Tight End”. I think he’s a hybrid. He can be moved all over depending upon matchups. I’m not saying we are smart enough or good enough to pull it off, but it has the potential to be very cool, IMO.
  15. You don’t need Dick Butkus at MLB and Mike Ditka at TE anymore. The game is evolving, better to lead than try to catch up.
  16. I’m very late to this party, so please forgive me if this has been beaten to death. The difference a guy like Kincaid makes is not just in his receptions, yards and TD’s. They want to be able to dictate to the defense, and his versatility makes everything better, if it goes as planned.
  17. That was what they played for the first dance at my wedding.
  18. Speaking of Mr Brown, is it true O’Cyrus did not have a single penalty all last year? Huh, I wonder where that random thought came from. 🤷‍♂️
  19. In the AFC Championship Game….I agree that would be awesome!
  20. It’s funny, but I didn’t have to see the jersey number or even the hair, Edmunds was THE BIG GUY out there! Then came Groot, but Edmunds always stood out as the first guy you want walking off the bus.
  21. Rex Ryan??? 🤷‍♂️ That’s how he hits on you, and why so many people pull a hammy trying to get away.
  22. I agree he landed in a good spot, and nobody wants to be “overlooked”. While I’d rather be drafted, if you can land with a team with a weak position group your odds improve. In this case, he landed on a good team, and we have a need in his strike zone. Win/win. 🤞
  23. They are indeed facing an uphill battle. I have to wonder how many would rather have been undrafted so they could pick a place where they have a better shot of being developed and making a roster. Making the top rosters is tough, and you have to hope you get enough preseason game film to be attractive elsewhere.
  24. Between Kincaid and Shorter, we just got bigger in the red zone too, if they want to go that way. I don’t know that we’ll see Shorter much on offense this year, but I do love a pleasant surprise!
  25. Beane is on record as saying Dorian the newest Williams will start on the outside. Do we not believe him? Do we think that won’t last long? Klein is very limited in coverage and would get picked on unless we scheme to protect him (as I think we adjusted to last year when he was forced to play). I still don’t know who the MLB will be replacing Tremaine. I doubt we change our scheme much, maybe just get a little more aggressive in implementation. So who is the next MLB?
