Life happens. Nobody promised it would always be fair. You sound like YOU are complaining as a Bills fan. Imagine how he feels. The Bills did what they had to do, and I have no complaints. It’s unfair and unfortunate, but it’s time to move on. .
-
OK, is Mahomes too commercialized? He’s everywhere, and he seems just fine. Maybe the difference is…….something else? Something(s) actually football related? 🤷♂️
-
Do you ever get tired of your thoughts and threads being roundly thrashed? Or do you take some type of enjoyment from that. I’m just trying to understand the motivation. To this point, you have 25 negative reactions, and 7 people who just laughed. Nothing positive. I don’t care what he does (within reason, of course) during his free time. I care about how he prepares for football and how he performs. If he wants to wear a bunny suit in Times Square, we can make that a tradition as long as he is winning.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Augie replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think people are missing that point. They just don’t care. People just don’t dwell on PSE picking up cost overruns because they want something to complain about, in many cases. They want to talk about PSL’s and ticket costs, and I get that. It’s only normal. But they don’t want to admit (out loud) the other side of the equation comes with risk and significant potential downside. It’s more fun to play “Blame The Greedy Billionaire”. People focus on how things affect them. No shocker there. I fully realize the Pegulas want this on time and, more importantly, on budget. I think it will be on time. That seems far more likely than being on budget. Getting behind on schedule may become expensive. Time will tell. -
Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
Augie replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
So, you’re saying Britt cheated on Josh with Jordan Palmer? Wow! What a plot twist that is! Isn’t that how those things get started? Someone somewhere on the internet got the ball rolling! I’m sticking with this to see if it catches on! Life happens. I’m sure this wasn’t how things were planned out, but we don’t know what was happening behind the curtain in their relationship. And there is no need for us to know. As I’ve said before, I love to be rich, but hate to be famous. Every little up and down moment gets magnified, almost beyond recognition at times. I wish them both well. -
It looks like it’s $120-$370 now depending on which of the 3 classes you take. It’s not something you do every day, so the cost wouldn’t cause me to blink for a second. If I make it to London for the Bills game I may build in a day to get back to Paris to experience the ride as much as anything. The wife gets motion sickness just thinking about boats or trains, so if I’m over there alone it would be a perfect time to give it a shot.
-
We leave Saturday for 5 days in Paris before heading to Italy. The lady cutting my hair yesterday told me the Eurostar to London (where I have never been) was just over 2 hours which I found very intriguing. For better or worse, we have stuff planned for Paris that doesn’t leave me a free day to see London. I mentioned this to the wife, and she had a simple solution: just go back in October when the Bills are there. That works for me!

If he’s that good, things will work out just fine for him. There are 31 other teams who can bring him on board without flack now that this is clear. He lost one year, and that sucks. It’s unfair and everyone should be held accountable, both in terms of actions that night and an investigation that lasted longer than puberty!

Except in the AFCE, KC or Cincinnati. I have limits. 😋
-
It’s impacted for sure, but the truth is out. Maybe it’s because I never bought the stories in the beginning. I was neutral waiting for answers. But there were certainly people who were quicker to judge, and he WAS in fact harmed. Everybody will get what they deserve for this, in some way.
-
His reputation was temporarily damaged. It has no impact on my view of him, and I wish him well going forward. A LOT of lessons to be learned here for everyone.
-
It was determined the guy was not there when the group stuff happened. I hope people don’t plan to rehash all that. Bad things happened, in several regards, and she is not fully innocent. But please, let’s not start all over again. This is why we should never rush to judgment.

Don’t forget tailgating. I know, them’s serious words, there! Oh, and wings of course. I bet those heathens have never even heard of beef on weck!!! It must be such a sad life. They need those trophies to sleep at night. Yep, I’m stickin’ with that!

And that high ankle sprain didn’t help at all. But he was tough and fought thru it for the team. I’ll give him effort/toughness points for that. I’m expecting a big step up from last season if he stays healthy. Time will tell.

Ranking the WR’s is fine, but leaving out the TE’s (and pass catching RB’s) hurts the meaningfulness. I think the Bills and Chiefs would look very different if we included all the pass catchers. I’m sure others could argue the same. It’s the offseason, so it’s a fun little exercise I guess. .

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

Are you still here??? 😋 They are already behind. They just keep moving the goal line. I’m not positive in this case of the dates, but it feels right. -

Well, yeah….but what do they know? 😋 Delays would not shock me, I promise you that. . -
Should Beane have made the trades that he did NOT make?
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Remember that scene in Ghostbusters where Bill Murray zaps the kid who is struggling with his ESP skills? I will send a Christmas/Holiday card for the rest of my life to anybody who develops and employs the technology that will do the same thing to anyone who wants to talk about proposed trades. -
I would never go to a store that includes that little hassle over a quarter. I just paid too much for my groceries at Publix. They can afford to pay someone to come out and return the carts. I rarely use the corrals since I’m in the store at least 5 times a week and can easily carry my purchases to the car without taking the cart with me. I’m more likely to take a cart TO the store than away, but the bit of holding me hostage for a quarter is not a game I want to play. On a nice day that would be a treat. I would love the time out walking around doing my thing without being bothered. If it’s 40 degrees and raining, I’d rather stock shelves or clean the bathroom.

Where did you find that game? Did you have it recorded? Is it on YouTube or some other source? I’d enjoy taking a look. Thanks for the encouraging report. I hope he’s a day one starter and stays there a decade plus.

Run for the Roses: Josh Allen attends, disguised as a Creamsicle
Augie replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Might be time to thank your lucky stars for what she thinks is attractive! She sounds like a keeper! 😋 -
Just pointing it out to the people who think we took a TE too high, or he’s a lousy blocker for a TE. I mean, I know he’s a TE, but he’s not really a TE. And yes, I know it’s way too soon but I’m not really thinking 5 years down the road. I’m just trying to highlight the “TE Classification Dilemma” for those who are thinking of the position in the more traditional sense. And yes again, let us hope this is a real issue down the road because he is such an All Pro stud!
-
Would you happen to have any photos of him sitting at a middle school desk in 8th grade as a 400 pounder? That might require some special engineering. I still concerns me a bit if he can blow up like that, but I hope he stays disciplined for football, and for life. You don’t want to be one of the people on a scooter in the grocery store (oh, the irony!) while still in his 20’s.
-
I hope we never have to tag him, because it will lead to the obvious question of “what is his position?” He would argue that he’s NOT a TE but a member of the higher paid WR class, and I expect that down the road I will have to agree with him. Jimmy Graham comes to mind. Time will tell. .
-
He will spend some time in-line next to a tackle, I’m sure, but he will be mostly in the slot. If you have him in the slot he needs to be blocking on every running play. Even the WR’s need to block. You don’t take a play off because the ball is not coming to you. Somebody else has the ball, and you need to keep your guy off of him. You block for the man with the ball, not just Josh. Kincaid seems fine with throwing himself into the mix to do his best, even if it’s not his strength. I loved his attitude and willingness in the clip I saw of him NOT getting the ball. That’s a team guy.
