  1. I find myself trying to temper my emotions and expectations, but he sure looks special. He’s just so fluid and makes it look so easy.
  2. He’s not kidding. I can vouch for him on this one. 😋
  3. Can we start with putting Butch Byrd on the Wall? THAT is a no brainer.
  4. This kid is in middle school somewhere, I think.
  5. I don’t have to bargain, Goodwill takes almost everything! 😋 We’ve already accumulated more stuff than we could ever use. Not always wisely. But we keep getting more “stuff”, and I buy it at their price, or I don’t buy it. Mrs Augie loves the hunt of buying a new car against some poor car sales guy. Like a chef sharpening her knives. A wolf sharpening its fangs would be offensive, so I won’t reference that (in case she were to check in 😂). My mother was once thrown out of a market in Acapulco for taking it too far. She saw it as a sport. She’s 95 now, and still feisty!
  6. I hope you don’t have to scrub your computer after that search! 😱 BTW - You go the pullout bed for me to tag along, right? I don’t snore much louder than your average train. We’ll have a blast!
  7. Wait, are people expecting you to apologize for Emmanuel’s clickbait? I skipped ahead. It’s a long time until football, so let’s enjoy the summer. We want something to chew on, but the bones are pretty bare. This kind of thing leads to harmless banter for those of us hungry enough. I’ll keep this in mind if I catch the guy, but to me it’s a giant whatever….🤷‍♂️
  8. Mods are like police. Some people complain about them, until you need them. Then they are your best friend. 😋
  9. Is that where the other thread is? Maybe they should be united, to slowly whither away. A guy can hope we don’t have to start from scratch and go thru all this again. I think that started with Monks and chanting, but I can’t find my source.
  10. The Bengal players are lunch pail guys, but that’s only because the Bengals are too cheap to pay for lunch, so that’s different. They are a bad matchup for us now, but I don’t know how many more guys they can sign after Burrow. Will they shell out hundreds of millions of dollars to put in escrow for the guaranteed portions of contracts for the surrounding talent? IDK. 🤷‍♂️ .
  11. Or the owners critical medical mystery. It was quite a year, for sure. We struggled down the stretch compared to how we started, but nothing like that Bengals playoff game. That was super flat! I have questions, but I have no answers.
  12. No, this is a different Britt, and a whole new bartender. Apparently it’s become “a thing” for him.
  13. . This is what makes the internet so great! 😂
  14. I was still about 10 people back in line trying to get in when the crowd ramped up a giant roar - it was SO EXCITING………..then you could hear a pin drop. Oops! Great start. I’m sure Herb Mulkey enjoyed it, anyway.
  15. Being flexible can be a valuable trait!
  16. Will you shower me with years of birthday and Christmas presents? I might be available. 🤷‍♂️
  17. My how things have changed! I vividly remember the trip with my dad to Rich Stadium in 1973 to pick out our seats before it opened. That is a very fond childhood father/son memory. Seeing it for the first time was exciting stuff for this kid.
  18. Speaking of bias, it shows in the fact that Hyde won’t be 33 until Dec 31. Anything to make the point look more valid. We were decimated by injuries to the defensive backfield last year, to a bizarre extent. Oh, and we will get Von Miller back, a HOF player who showed no signs of aging before his injury last season. But I suppose none of that supports his narrative, so let’s not talk about that. I need to see Tua and Lamar finish a season before I get TOO worried about their teams. The AFCE won’t be the cakewalk the Pats* faced for years, but I like our chances.
  19. He’s more upset that he never got a kayak. He really had his heart set on a kayak. I kid! I kid! He’s not really a horrible person, but you want to keep your car doors locked when he’s around, just in case.
  20. That sounds familiar. Is he the guy who changed my oil today?
  21. Augie

    Matt Araiza

I’m trying to cut back on my Satan stuff as I age. I’m not sure if I’m a better person…….or just very tired. 🤷‍♂️
  22. That is an excellent point. I don’t get that at all. A bit off topic, but I doubt he has the career success his trajectory might seem to indicate. Once they have to pay him and put all the guaranteed money into escrow, how many big time guys can will they pony up guaranteed money for? They may be capable of paying, but they do not seem willing. I remember T.J. Houshmandzadeh laughing at how cheap they were. BYOG, for Gatorade! I lived in Cincinnati during college, and I don’t think the reputation has changed much. Time will tell.
  23. Was this supposed to be serious? I’m honestly not sure. My son’s high school team ran better screens. Just the right amount of tricking them into thinking it’s for real, while still allowing the blocking to set up. We run screens like my wife throws a frisbee. That is NOT a compliment. ANYTHING could happen, but it’s rarely good. The problem is not just the delivery of the ball. We are tipping it off, or are in some other way completely incompetent. I can be like watching a car wreck.
  24. I don’t care what the question is, Michelle Pfeiffer qualifies. 😋
