  1. I wanted to like or agree here, but 28 minutes on a treadmill was too unappealing. Did I mention the great food at the gym I might rejoin? My wife is for it, but she doesn’t know all my reasoning. I like exercise, love it even, but it should be disguised as tennis, or something else.
  2. Okay, @plenzmd1 didn’t like that, and I understand. I did not know him 20 years ago, so he is technically correct. However, if he was worse 20 years ago, I’m not sure how he got here. Of course, I have no idea how I got here! Dumb luck must have played a factor. On the bright side, he has somehow managed to do a great job of raising part of the next generation of Bills fans, so he gets full credit for that. How he did it is a tale to tell, but he did it! And somehow he is still a kid at heart, while most of them seem to have grown up just fine! 🤷‍♂️ I’m still working on it, as any who have met me know.
  3. I wouldn’t know. As extravagant as I am on all this crap, I drew the line on Red Zone for some reason. I’m telling you, this serious and long (VERY long) time fan is getting tired of it. I’m sure every fan base has people like me.
  4. Reading responses I’ve realized it’s like children, you can’t pick a favorite …….and if you do, just shut the hell up about it! 😋
  5. I can tell you squirrels sharpen their teeth. I learned this when they started doing it on the bistro lights hanging in the backyard. I was finding bulbs around the yard, so the landscape guy brought me some spray to keep them away. That must be some nasty stuff, because they stopped chewing my wires and they never came back.
  6. I get it, and I’m sorry for your loss. We had to put down my 13.5 year old Golden Gracie recently. She was the 6th Golden we have lost. It is devastating, including for the now lonely pup we got to be her best friend. We are eagerly awaiting a litter coming in June. We can never truly replace Gracie, but we can get a new pal for our Scout. . This is true, and beautiful. EDIT: We’ve are traveling right now and last night we had dinner at a great restaurant in Paris, where many people had brought their dogs. We have some places that allow dogs on the patio, but this was inside the restaurant. I loved it! There was a super cute little dog heading out, and I offered her owner a little dog treat I had found in my coat pocket. You’d have thought I paid for her dinner. Her reaction said everything you need to know about how much she loves that little pup. Pets can enhance your life immeasurably. Sorry again for your loss. .
  7. I’m trying to count the number of gyms we have joined and quit since moving to Atlanta, but the number escapes me. Now I’m breaking new ground. I’m considering rejoining a gym we’ve already quit once. They have good food. 😋
  8. I’ve been paying full freight for Sunday Ticket forever. It’s not just the money to me. I get free Peacock now to watch Dan Patrick in the morning. They keep trying to get me to sign up and pay for more. It’s annoying. Now they want me to do some friggin’ update which is not as simple as it sounds, and I’m just tired of keeping it all up to date. I had a good friend who never watched another NFL game after they went on strike. It’s not always about money and the other costs to watch. I’m not ready to turn away yet, but if there is a point where they annoy me by making it hard to watch one Bills game, or a playoff game, they might not just lose me for that game. They may lose me entirely. I can be a stubborn SOB. They need to tread a bit more lightly and gradually, IMO. “Kids” don’t mind this stuff as much as the older folks, and we tend to have more money, so there’s that to consider.
  9. Speaking of stupid and Cutlass’, it was the fastest I ever drove a car, though not quite to the speed you hit. BUT, I did have the only accident that was my fault driving. I rear ended a nice young couple in a station wagon when I thought they would get a left turn arrow, but did not. Everyone was very nice to me! Today I could tell the stories of my trip to jail, but these are different times. I was going out to get more beer for the party at my house. (I was maybe 16 at the time.) The front bumper on my Cutlass forever had a frown after that night. The next morning I woke up with that awful “something bad happened” feeling. I went downstairs to tell my parents I had been in an accident. Still vividly remember they were having coffee on the back patio. My mother asked if alcohol had been involved. I, of course, said no. She said “good, now go out in the front yard and pick up all the beer bottles your friends left on their way out”. OOPS! Again, very different times!
  10. Do we play on Christmas Day? Can somebody start working on that???
  11. I am a guy who would have elected to let Bruce sit after he got a brand new contract, but wanted a new one because somebody else got a raise. I don’t tolerate that well, and you probably don’t want me as your GM. The list of reasons is of course long, VERY long, but that’s kinda high up there.
  12. I know this is common practice for disgruntled NFL players, but it feels very middle school-ish to me. .
  13. I had a Cutlass Supreme maybe a year or two ahead of yours. That thing could FLY! Or maybe it was just because it could get up a hill and that seemed super cool after having a Chevette for my first car? 🤷‍♂️ I don’t know how you guys remember the year of the car. I’m lucky if I can remember the car and the color! Not really into cars as long as it’s comfortable and reliable. I’m still driving a 2014 Toyota Avalon with about 105k miles. Nice ride, and I hope I double that mileage at least despite the wife suggesting I get a replacement. . Does @HOUSE live with you? Have you seen his wallet? You may be correct, but please don’t be upset if I mention, and I think I can speak for most hear, that you sir, are no Marisa Tomei. But then, who is?
  14. Josh is obviously our MVP. We will only go as far as he takes us, but it can’t be all on him to this degree. Dorsey, at this point, looks like our MVOG (Most Valuable Other Guy) for this season. He is the one person in the Bills organization with the most to prove.
  15. I’m just happy Dane Jackson can walk after that neck injury. This puts life in perspective. I almost threw up when I saw that.
  16. A thread about failure. Again. Yay…..
  17. Gates only retired about 5 years ago, but he played a LONG time. This just goes to show how the game has changed and become a (largely vertical) passing game. Gates would still be great, but Kelce, and hopefully Kincaid, are a different breed.
  18. I have no idea what it was, but it feels like he got his head straight, and I’m happy for him. Except for 10/8/23 in London, then all bets are off. 😋
  19. A playoff bye week and games at home don’t suck. You never lose a game you don’t play.
  20. Not to open a separate can of worms, but it would be AWESOME if there’s was some sort of shuttle from downtown. I fly in for home games, and I hate having to drive and take up a parking space for just myself in my rental car. I’ve been fortunate to have some kind folks work with me to get me to the lots, but there should be a better way. I’m sure if it was easy, it would exist already. This will be especially true with reduced parking area.
  21. I felt bad, but I wanted you to be happy. That is the only reason I didn’t get you something.
  22. He’s the guy who is a Nick Wright wannabe, without the annoying KC homerism. Stole a page from his playbook to make a name for himself, it seems. No click is a bad click! He never met a click he didn’t like, that’s the name of the game.
  23. Does this make anyone else wonder what the title used to be? Or why it isn’t fixed by now?
  24. I just got a text alert. You hurt his feelings. It’s 2023, after all. .
  25. CONGRATS on the anniversary, young fellah! This place has helped me find some people I can bond with. I’m not in WNY, so I don’t get that every day Bills stuff. I’m not complaining, at least it’s available now. There was a period before the internet where any Bills news was hard to find. A lot has changed. We’ve moved, changed jobs, retired (for me), had a couple grandchildren, started to travel and just generally starting to try to enjoy ourselves before we are too old to do it right.
