As was pointed out when he missed voluntary OTA’s, We know what we have in Diggs (for better and worse). The more time available for the younger guys to show what they’ve got, the better. Let’s see what it looks like now, and hope it helps get us ready for the season. That’s the best “glass half full” I can offer. I don’t love the absence, but I won’t freak out either. It is a bit odd that we are just guessing what he’s so upset about. I can imagine several options, but it’s pretty fuzzy.

Yeah, I was there long before the 90’s, but I did make one of our Super Bowls (In Minny vs Wash - yuck!) The tiers of fandom you refer to could also be read as states of mind. Priceless, though! 😋 Do you think you get paid if they win? Not happening! You just want to watch it until the final game and be entertained the entire way. Then the next season starts.

I’m not an AM talk show, so I’m not huge on rankings. If you told me you had 3 guys at the top, I think most people would agree and not go crazy over the order. I hope Burrow gets his money before the Bengals melt down. He’ll get paid, but then I think guaranteed dollars into escrow will be a bit more scarce.

It actually IS that difficult of a question, because it can’t be answered properly. Are we trading OLine, weapons, coaches and everything? Defenses? I love Josh, but Andy Reid > Dorsey, so how do we tell anything from that? I’m not playing that game.

That is why I asked the when and where. The Josh hero ball, refusing to check down and some bad turnovers leave room for others in the conversation, for sure. For any given drive or half, several can be incredible, or make people scream at the TV while bordering on stroke levels.

Better at what? At what specific moment? What is the down and distance? They have different strengths and weaknesses. That’s why I won’t say Josh is NOT the best as well, it depends. (It wasn’t Josh’s fault we lost 13 seconds btw, he was a star at the end!) There are a handful with Mahomes, Burrow, Sunshine and the other usual suspects who can all do amazing things. Different guys fit different cities, and I love Josh in WNY. I am SUPER curious to see how long smug ARod gets along in NYC. I’m not sure the media there is as vicious as it used to be, but it’s not Green Bay, either!

How many posters here do you think honestly believe Allen is absolutely at the top of the QB mountain? I don’t, but I love that he’s our guy. He’s a great QB, and a great fit in WNY. There is middle ground here, it doesn’t have to be extreme one way or the other.

The TEAM’S goal is to win the Super Bowl. I am not on the team. We are fans. My goal is to be entertained, and I will be even MORE entertained if we win out and take the SB trophy. I want a SB victory as much as anyone here, but I will be disappointed, not devastated if they fall short. When I was young I think I gave the Bills outcomes too much power over me. I’m not playing that game any more. If you think my bar is too low, I think yours is too high. Only ONE team wins every year, and we are fairly new to being in contention. I can’t be outraged if it’s not the Bills. Again, I REALLY want them to have a chance to play for that trophy, but it won’t erase all the good times along the way if they fall short. We get together with family and friends for games, travel to different venues together, and that is all good stuff to me that doesn’t go away if we don’t win a SB. Who is “the realist” now?

I heard the Cards recently released a guy who might be available as a true #2. Has anyone mentioned him yet?

Where is the bold stated? The title says “one of the best coaches in the game”, and I think that is fairly accurate. I guess it sounds better if you go all extreme and put words in his mouth. Did I miss something?

We got it goin’ on, for sure! I can’t just tease, so I’ll add this positive: a neighbor is a renowned architect and author. He was at our house and noted my Bills gear. He said his wife was taking a beach vacation, but he wasn’t into beaches. He was going to Buffalo to explore our architecture. He sent me photos to show he also explored our wings, beer and pizza!

Sorry, the thought of the bold just made me chuckle. 😋
