  1. You probably grew up with Garanimals! Alright, you are a mere child. 😋 Remember these? https://www.garanimals.com
  2. I’m very eager to hear the suggestions that will follow.
  3. I’ve put this elsewhere, but it fits here. A neighbor of ours is an architect and went to Buffalo on a “architectural vacation” while his wife was at the beach. He sent me zero pictures of architecture, but the wings and beer came in first. I laughed and said he needs to try the pizza and seconds later I get a great shot of pizza and beer! That’s an interesting perspective I can respect.
  4. Are you saying that the bathroom concierge guy with the warm towels, breath wash and the little peppermint candies is getting cut? I’m not sure if I can accept that!
  5. Thanks, I know I’ve seen people clip the hurdle, but never thought about how extreme it could get. That makes sense, especially in events like this one where team points are involved. That keeps it feeling more “legit”.
  6. I wasn’t sure if she was going to step over them or plow them down! Either way, she was there for the team! Probably not what you’d expect, but……..in high school there was a kid on my son’s team who was just a jerk. I don’t know how else to describe it. He was a selfish gunner boy constantly jacking up shots aimlessly from all over. He also used to pick on a rare freshman to make varsity. The Frosh was a big kid and surprisingly skilled, and he was ALWAYS smiling. My son stuck up for the freshman. Got in the kids face and SHUT IT DOWN. In a multi-school scrimmage event he went so far as to block his jerk teammates shot from behind when he tried to jack one up. Think about it…..a shot gets blocked by a TEAMMATE! The kicker? We see the then freshman’s parents decades later and all they can talk about is how kind our son was to them. I don’t have the heart to tell them he really just wanted to beat the crap out of the other kid (but knew where to draw the line)! .
  7. Yes. It was a cropped version of tax returns showing short term capital gains, I believe. Who here do you suppose might be so full of themself that they would do that? HINT: He has 61 posts in his beloved thread. How many guesses do you think you will need?
  8. And easy access to urinate in something other than a……..I don’t even want to type that. But yeah, the sight lines are amazing from everywhere! .
  9. Thank goodness! I have an odd but sad MENSA story about an old friend, and now I don’t feel the need to type it all out. Needless to say, there are many different types if “intelligence”.
  10. Maybe I missed something? Did he really bring up MENSA?
  11. We had, and maybe still have, an Anchor Bar by a college not too far away. I went twice trying very hard to like it. Not well executed. I shouldn’t have to try THAT hard. We HAD a Duff’s about 45 miles away and I’d go a couple times a year. They did a GREAT job, but apparently not good enough. They disappeared around the beginning of Covid, not sure if it was related or coincidence, but I miss it! Congrats on the Bar Bill coming near you. That would be a regular in my rotation if they can pull it off.
  12. BUT, did you check out the mathy page? That was some definitive stuff there! Numbers and formulas everywhere! All to prove……exactly nothing. But it was all carefully gathered by the OP who is trying to push his agenda and trick grade school kids into thinking he’s onto something. He’s at 56 posts and climbing in this effort, while the #2 poster has 14 posts. He must really want to prove he’s right, despite how obvious it seems to most of us that the math page was pure folly. It’s not math, it’s football!
  13. Our son and his wife used to rent a townhouse from us (well below market rent, of course) and we’d hear about it every time the oven broke or they had a plumbing issue. I’d wait all day for the guy to show, then order parts so I could wait all day again when the parts came in. Then I would pay for it all. They bought their first house about a year ago. It was a rude awakening for my cheapskate son! 😂 Congrats to @Draconator on the first house. It’s nice to be able to do what you want with the property and benefit from the value you add.
  14. Makes you wonder if the Browns would have been better off being patient with Belichick. Here’s a crazy concept for folks to ponder: Do you think people can get better at their job given some experience? But how do you squeeze that into our cute little “formula”? Coaches rarely get fired for not winning the Super Bowl. They get fired (all the time) for not winning. Period. McD wins, a lot. He has had missteps in the playoffs for sure, but he’s consistently there and I think his time will come. I’ll take him over door #2 on The Price Is Right.
  15. As I said, I only need the one ticket! How bad could it be for ONE TICKET? 😋
  16. This seemed worth quoting…..just because I can. This “analysis” is just a bunch of silly crying out for attention. It means absolutely nothing in terms of predicting the future. Our HC was 14-4 last year, generally in line with his previous seasons. You don’t win it all until you win it all. That’s how it works.
  17. This reminds me of Bob. I’m more of a tennis guy and he worked the pro shop where we lived. I’d feel bad calling and asking for the ball machine to be set up, but he was always so happy and helpful. “Glad to do it!” After tennis we’d go around to the pool area and he’d serve us beers at the bar. Bob was US! Bob was probably a few years older than me, but not much. He had done something else in life, and this was a pleasant, no stress way to spend 20 hours a week and get a helpful check. I always wanted to have a few beers with old Bob, but he was working and the grown up of the two of us. (I never said he was perfect!) .
  18. I have also heard speculated that the extensions for Beane and McD were another message to Diggs. They will be here after you are gone. I’m not saying this is the intent, but I believe it will certainly happen that way.
  19. I didn’t see Von’s ACL tear in any of that scientific mathy stuff presented earlier. There may be a problem with the formula.
  20. Despite the volume of posts, it seems to just be a handful of posters who think the 14-4 coach from last season is on a hot seat. That is just silly talk at this point. If things turn south? Sure, but let’s talk about it then.
  21. It’s sad, but also kinda funny. Mostly funny. Apparently he realizes nonsense is not our strong suit, so there is that.
  22. He couldn’t do crunches in the driveway like TO either, I’m guessing! So there is that, too!
  23. McNabb was unique for his time, and not a terrible player. Not great, but certainly not terrible.
  24. It’s much more colorful than his tax returns. Very pretty! It reminds me more of Easter than Christmas.
  25. He’s not even a good person, from my experience. He got a ring with Tony Dungy’s team against his old team and they were too stupid to change anything for the Super Bowl. He coached against Bill Callahan who has an NFL career winning percentage of .419. HE made a Super Bowl! Does that make him a good coach? Does anyone want a .419 Bill Callahan for coach? He must be special! He reached the pinnacle of his profession! ….or do you want McD? .
