  1. Hand her a hose while we’re at it! They could use some rainy days! Got the annual call from my one Canadian buddy today. He doesn’t want me to miss a day of celebration!
  2. I don’t think so, but I can’t be sure. It was an old house and we always got wings to go (and they were STILL good). I remember a Rudy’s Tap Room or something closer to the UB Amherst location, I think. This was a LONG time ago, back in the 70’s. Seriously doubt any of it is still there. The bar is always your friend!!! I eat lunch there daily, today with my wife because it was easier than a table. Just sit.
  3. Thank you for a prompt response. This tells us all that we need to know.
  4. They came out with ESPN the magazine, right? Went into print right before print died. One bad decision after another. I don’t want to sound like Bills basher, but that’s a lot of whiffs! 😂
  5. Or, a step down, he may be a fry chef after a full shift in the kitchen.
  6. AND, right on cue, the national news has a bit about the writer’s strike. How they defend themselves against AI in the years ahead will be interesting. Will “people written scripts” be the next organic food? The world be a changin’!
  7. We had friends in Sarasota who also have a place in London, his home. I had no idea he could cook, but he made an incredible Indian meal. A bit zippy, but delicious! Several cases of wine later he advised his departing guests to “tuck a roll of toilet tissue in your freezer before bed, you’ll want it in the mornin’.” He wasn’t entirely wrong. .
  8. He certainly seemed to have high hopes.
  9. Well, it can be ALL of these things, and some things we never even imagined. Oh! Looking at some show I’m not familiar with on YouTube TV (because I’m often gonna need them to get my Bills games) and they are doing a segment on the BILLS! I miss ESPN even less. They (ESPN) were ground breaking game changers back in the day. They are now dinosaurs, the love child of the slide rule and the Kodak film empire. The world is moving on, and ESPN has not done a great job of staying ahead of the game. .
  10. When the wheels fell off Mike & Mike I basically stopped watching ESPN. Golic would rein him in, or at least balance them out. I think that was the last good thing they had, and that’s been a while. EDIT: Dan Patrick is as good as anything out there now, IMO. Listen in car or on phone, but for some reason streaming on Peacock recently started running one day behind. What’s up with that??? Grrr! .
  11. Care to share some of your top 10? I’ve never been to Bar Bill but hope to visit on my next trip. Always looking for good options. When I lived in WNY there was a little house on the east side of Transit around East Amherst. Rosy’s or something? It’s been gone forever I’m sure, but when I think of my favorite wings, I think of that place.
  12. Well, here’s the thing - I have no idea what you are talking about. I don’t like people screaming around me and all talking at the same time. That seems to be largely the ESPN formula. I can’t take too much of their schtick. If other people have noticed that, maybe there is a reason.
  13. I don’t think he’s leaving for good……
  14. I hate for anyone to lose their job, but some of these guys like Keyshawn and Booger add absolutely nothing of value, and they should be set for life already. I wonder if they are making cuts at lower, non-visible levels too? Those folks I’d feel much worse for. They’re working to feed the kids and pay the bills.
  15. Shouldn’t that be: IF STEVEN A KEEPS HIS JOB I personally don’t enjoy being yelled at. Maybe it’s just a me thing? 🤷‍♂️ .
  16. Everywhere, indeed! We were in Italy in May and spent a day taking a boat to Capri with three other couples. Sure enough, the last guy to show up was wearing Bills gear! I instantly knew we’d get along just fine. We were supposed to go with friends next fall, but it just had to be the same week the wife does one of her biggest events of the year. We’ll keep trying to make that happen at some point. .
  17. I am here at your service, but know that the line is long!
  18. So you do get network channels including local stations. I guess that was my question. We get a boatload of streaming services, but not with local stations that I know of. I still watch some network TV while the wife streams almost everything she watches. This sounds like basically what I have now with DTV Streaming, plus DTV Dish which was the only way to get Sunday Ticket. Streaming could not get the games for some reason, but I enjoyed a little redundancy for “emergencies”. ….and YES, I did get up and walk across the room to change to one of the other two channels available to me in black and white. Commander Tom was worth the effort! .
  19. I think that goes without saying. At that level, there is a team of people managing various parts of his empire.
  20. Since we are already on a tangent, we got a new washer/dryer set when we moved over a year ago. The delivery guys came, set it up and said it had to run a cycle, so he started them. The wife went up to work with non-stop calls scheduled, and I went to walk the dogs. TWENTY MINUTES LATER, I walk into the brand new house at the time. I don’t even know where a towel is, but these guys hooked the water up to the washing machine without putting the hose into the drain. It flooded the first floor. They tried to drag out the insurance claim, but eventually paid. Oops!
  21. We rented a townhouse to our son and DIL for a while. They wanted to replace the dryer because it wasn’t getting the job done. We had a guy come and clean the vent and they couldn’t believe the difference! We thought our house was just fine, but we had him out regardless.
  22. Sorry for my ignorance on this matter, but what do you watch on YouTube TV? Is it just another streaming service? It looks like I’m gonna need an education.
  23. If I had to guess, I’d say this sounds plausible. He’s looking for places to invest his piles of cash. If some people backed out that’s curious and means additional risk, but big risks can mean big rewards too. He’s a smart guy, I wouldn’t bet against him. I am more likely to figure out the Diggs/Josh relationship than decipher this situation, but it will be interesting to follow.
  24. But it will be THE year!!!
