  1. In all areas of life.
  2. Not football, where they always had some law enforcement, but our son had an AAU basketball game in Miami where the refs decided to halt the game until they could get police in the gym. What is this world coming to? We can’t watch some 14 year olds play basketball without restoring to criminal (literally!) behavior?
  3. We had friends in Hilton Head who joined a league and found out the hard way how long those seasons can be. They would BEG us to fill in for them! Congrats on the two 300’s in the same night. I’m guessing A) you had bowled before, and B)you didn’t celebrate TOO much with alcohol after the first one, or the second one never happens. .
  4. Bowling alleys and ice skating rinks were part of growing up in Buffalo. My misspent youth had to take place somewhere, and they seemed like the best options. Later came the back seat of a car. Sexy, I know. My father took me to his bowling league one night when he rolled a 288. I think that is all strikes with a single spare mixed in late. He could also shoot one helluva game of straight pool. I was not a first generation degenerate, apparently. My parents got a pool table for my dad, and to see what kind of misfits I was hanging out with. Teenage boys love pool tables. I have one in the basement today.
  5. How mini guesses do you need? 😋
  6. So, do we get Teller back or what??? The use of “The Teller Card” is just designed to incite as much angst as possible. He was a 5th round Guard with long hair who looked promising. We were loaded at the position, we thought, so elected to get something for him in return. They made the wrong call. It happens. If he was a 1st round rookie CB they never even consider moving him. I have no idea why Teller is even mentioned here other than to exaggerate a point that does not seem to exist.
  7. TAKE THE PENSION!!!
  8. I hate to ask this, but might it be his spleen? I’m sorry, we shall not go there until we get some clarification.
  9. I liked JD Hill more than the Ravens. 😋 I really liked JD Hill. The Ravens? Not so much. .
  10. I’ll tell you all I know about the WNBA, and it should not come as news to anyone: Do NOT try to smuggle hash oil into Russia.
  11. I don’t see an option for “I can’t find the remote or a way to get out of here”? 🤷‍♂️
  12. Not directly related, but my father in law was a dentist for many decades. He never had a claim against him until late in his career when a long time patient had a complaint. Small town, everyone knew this lady and what was up. The FIL wanted to fight it because he had no doubt he was right. The insurance company said after all these decades with no malpractice claims, we’ll just pay a small amount to make it go away. It broke his heart. That’s the other kind of loss.
  13. So……….the usual. Got it. Thx.
  14. I can’t say for sure, because I have other things to do this afternoon and didn’t take time to read all that. It looked daunting. Anyone care to provide Cliff Notes? Gotta go check on Spencer Brown now……
  15. What an awesome story! Happy for you and your daughter. On a side note, Spencer Brown is holding his head. Do you think it’s a concussion??? I kid, I kid……. 😋
  16. Did you come thru Ellis Island? Did you know that is federal property with shared jurisdiction between NY and NJ? It’s where they sort of the good fans from the bad. You won NYS and the Bills, while the less desirable are banished to New Jersey with the Jets and Giants. CONGRATS!
  17. I know every time I have cost my employer an extra half BILLION dollars I have gotten a stern talking to!
  18. Not to quibble, but it helps improve employability. Not having one does not make one unemployable. Sorry, picky there. Having said that, we have supported education at every step along the way. My wife got some money when her mom passed, and she said there is nothing her mother would rather support than education and a nice home for her grandkids. We would have done it anyway, but she liked the symbolism.
  19. I just want them to have the juice at the end of the year the way they started. Confidence breeds confidence. I know, a lot happened after that, but they showed their potential early in the season. Now we have probably morphed a bit and hopefully Dorsey has grown some into the job. .
  20. It’s like going to the beach, you realize almost everybody should be wearing more clothes.
  21. Gee, that sounds like a good deal. Are you sure we can’t all pay in meadcoin? Seriously, my nephew has a VERY expensive and pretty prestigious art degree. Now he paints houses and does woodworking. He seems happy, and I don’t care how he got there. He LOVES working with his hands making beautiful things. Do what makes you happy! Now, was the degree a waste? There is no answering that as we don’t know how he might have turned out, so I’m 100% good with everything.
  22. I totally agree, but my feeling is we shouldn’t get too high or too low. Backs and feet are notorious for difficult recoveries. I’m forcing myself to not get ahead of things and jump to conclusions without more info. It could be exactly what it looks like, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions.
  23. Do you want your surgeon to be a guy who worked his way up the ladder from janitor? Some jobs actually require specific knowledge. Some times just having the credentials is necessary to get considered for a position, even if the knowledge from your degree(s) and credentials are not directly linked to the specifics of the job. People want to hire the most qualified candidate, and that is part of the game, for better or worse. Just going the extra mile to improve yourself is appealing to employers. But yes, for most people college is just where you go to finish growing up. I mean, I am STILL working on that! What a touching response.
  24. We all knew it was a risk, and now we know who told us so. 😋
  25. IDK, I grieved over the loss of Bed, Bath & Beyond. Those coupons coming made me feel like being part of a family. And they were so kind when you bought something without a coupon. They look at you like the “slow kid” and tell you you can come back with your coupon to get your $1.37 back.
