  1. Does “HELP ME UP!” count?
  2. But at least they will be able to say he got a chance to do more and look how that turned out. And THEN clean up with a franchise QB. We will be solving multiple problems even if it wasn’t intended that way.
  3. Oh, but he was so cryptic about it that only the conscious people knew what he meant. But I agree, that was a mini-Payton move, but talking about his own coach. Odd strategy there, indeed. .
  4. Do you have some room for him in the van down by the river? How many times did he interview for HC and get passed over? That is not a matter of chance. I certainly don’t know the guy, but it all seems to paint a pretty obvious picture.
  5. I’m not an art man myself. We’ve taken some big trips this year and I have a firm “No More Museums or Cathedrals” rule for at least another year. Buffalo is more of an eating and drinking town, but not necessarily in that order. Great foods (beef on weck, wings and pizza for starters) and bars can stay upon until 4:30am. Personally? I might get up to pee at that hour, but in my youth I learned that I would not be the only person out at that time. Our architect friend sent a picture of a beer, some wings and beef on weck his first night there. I responded about an hour later he had to try the pizza too. I instantly got a photo of him with beer and pizza. I don’t know how he is so thin! 😂 EDIT: My sister in law has been with a guy from Argentina for about 20 years. His name is Jorge, I’m sure you know him. 😋 .
  6. @Gonzonzo I don’t know what kind of things interest you, but you might like to know that the Buffalo area has a very rich history in architecture. I have a neighbor who is a rather renowned architect and he recently went just to see the Frank Lloyd Wright stuff and a bunch of other architectural highlights. People hear “Buffalo” and they think of a snowy rust belt area, but there used to be a lot of wealth and a lot of great stuff is left behind as a result. .
  7. Bringing beverages, especially something “special”, is always well received! Don’t be presumptuous, but people are incredibly generous at the tailgates. You will be well received for the effort it took to be there. I have often wondered how many people at a game traveled more than, say, 100 or 200 miles to be there. It’s a big percentage but you will almost certainly be the winner! Oh, and be careful! My wife’s uncle came from Lebanon to visit with bottles of Ouzo in his luggage. They broke, of course, and everything he had with him had that licorice smell to it! 😂
  8. Thanks! This is the kind of thing I’ve always wanted! They probably don’t go as early as I’d like, but it sure would save a lot of hassle. I think the article said they had a whopping 44 passengers last year? I know, one game, but still. They will need to ramp that way, WAY up to take pressure off due to last parking areas.
  9. I’ve got a partially torn rotator cuff that has caused me to take 12 months or more off from tennis 3 times in my adult life. It eventually would magically heal up and I could play again. I’m just a few years older than you, and I’ve always put off the surgery. This time it’s been well over 2 years, and it’s just not getting any closer to getting back on the courts. The only thing I can’t do is serve or hit overheads. I think it’s time to decide if I go under the knife, or just resign myself to giving up something I loved for decades that also helped to keep me fit. Getting old sucks. Injuries with feet or backs always scare me. I’m not worked up over every little setback with Brown, but there is a dark cloud always hanging over him until enough time passes that I consider it a thing of the past. Hopefully in that time we find out he can actually be a quality RT in the NFL.
  10. The NFL has engaged Emily Post as a consultant. It can’t hurt. 🤷‍♂️
  11. If Groot has a healthy Floyd, Ed and later in the year Von, I like our ability to get in the Qb’s face. I am VERY excited by that idea. More than most, apparently.
  12. Why does it matter if it’s the knee or the head? You need them both. You can’t just scream at them like a high school coach and say YOU ARE FINE! You need to ask better questions. It’s obviously not that simple.
  13. Well, THERE is the slippery question! The internet makes it all seem so easy to some people.
  14. I am saying, if you aren’t sufficiently prepared mentally and physically, you can be a detriment to the team It’s tricky chit, I get it, but you don’t want to hurt the team if someone else can be more effective. They need reps for confidence, but in the right spots. Von coming back in week 5 or 6 is still well under the 12 month mark, since he was hurt on that crappy Thanksgiving weekend that cursed us two years in a row. Odd, sorry, but regarding the bold above, Von can more easily afford to sit this year (with Floyd, not a move made in a vacuum), than Tre last year with the decimation of our DB’s. Sure, we want to win every game, but I’d rather peak late than early, unlike last year.
  15. OY! I got all excited! I thought you said recipes!!!
  16. I’m saying you are missing the point entirely. Being cleared by the Docs is just the first step in coming back. It takes a long time to trust the knee, then it takes time to shake off the rust. It’s NOT a light switch, and much of it happens between your ears. Everybody is different, so I’ll hope for the best.
  17. Did you watch Tre play at all last year coming back more than a year after surgery. “Clearance” is not a black or white thing.
  18. You will be a master of how to win over (or at least amuse) all those new people!!! Go for it! Good luck in the new job. I hope it’s a great fit for you.
  19. Well, making it into AARP is certainly worth celebrating! That’s lofty status! I think he’ll work his arse off to walk away after one more Lombardi Trophy! ….but then come back for the rest of the money until the well is dry. Who am I to judge? 🤷‍♂️
  20. AND, our defense also looked different without him. I can live with the self-hype as long as he comes back playing likes he’s that same old wrecking ball! Whatever it takes to have a monster pass rush come the playoffs. That tilts the field. I love the idea of Von, Floyd, Groot and Ed coming at you from every direction! Knowing you can take it to them gives you that eye of the tiger stuff. We need the horses!
  21. “I bet you’re a lot of fun on a rainy day, aren’t you?” 😂
  22. Let us hope the correct answer is……nothing!
  23. Don’t get me wrong, I was all for upgrading with more speed, but I think some people didn’t appreciate that he’s no chump. And yes, the Hines injury BLOWS. Especially with something so senseless and freaky.
  24. They should do a shaving commercial together. You could take that in so many directions! 😂
  25. I know he doesn’t have breakaway speed, but Singletary can make guys miss and has a career 4.7 YPC. That ain’t too shabby and I don’t think he got enough credit during his time here.
