Sounds like a pretty solid recruiting job! -
Tommy Doyle INJURY ????????????????????????????
Augie replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
We just like him because he’s tall, and are willing to overlook his questionable background. 😋 It’s actually a very pretty school, in case folks have never seen it. Probably a bit more expensive than the new club seats, but lovely just the same. -

A) It’s going to cost me more than a dollar, so I’m in the same boat. B) Knock yourself out. I studied all that crap too, but I live in the real world. Maybe you are familiar with that. I pick my battles carefully. You go be you, as only you can. . -

I am paying for it in ticket prices only, not property tax or PSL….but it gets passed along to some degree. What extra does it cost the average guy with an $300k house in property tax, anyway? I saw a number somewhere, but don’t know how accurate that was. Everyone can feel free to be as critical as they want. Just know that it won’t change anything. Feel free to waste your emotional energy if you think that is best for you. People complain that the stadium will be too expensive, and people complain that they didn’t go the extra yard and put a roof on it or move it downtown. Decisions needed to be made, and this seems like an acceptable middle ground to me. -
Which one did the Chiefs do to us in the playoffs? That was pretty effective, if they let you do it. Bitter? Who, me???

Rank the top 5 from top to bottom and name 3 dangerous outsider
Augie replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not arguing with you because I have no idea how good the Lions will be this year, but it just looks funny having them in the Super Bowl hunt. They have a grand total of ONE playoff win in the last 65 years. GEEZ! Talk about droughts! At the very least I’ll try a little harder to see them this season to see what the hype is about. -

I can’t put the Bills ahead of the Bengals until I see us beat them. We match up better with KC, who seems to handle the Bengals better than we do. Getting a lucky path thru the playoffs with good matchups is half the battle. Peak in the playoffs!!! -

If I were to pick a single stadium to go visit (strictly for the stadium, not team, city, etc.) this would be the one. I don’t know if it’s as cool in person as it looks, but I’d like to find out. Having said that, I’m not going to have any angst over a problem that does not yet, and may never, exist. No need to make up things to worry about, especially when I have zero control over it. I’ve said all along, as long as the Bills remain in WNY, I’m fine with the stadium location and design that allows that to happen. If it means I have to be picky about where I sit when I visit, then I’ll just choose my seats more carefully. -

I saw some video clip from a guy at a new stadium (I think it was SoFi) that gave me a touch of vertigo sitting in my recliner watching on my iPad. I’m not saying it will or won’t be like that, but it is my biggest concern. I’ve been in places like that, and it is no treat! -
And the orange slices were extra thick and juicy! 😋 I kid, I kid. I haven’t seen it yet, but I like when they look like they love what they are doing.

I’m all for the speed upgrade, but if I have Singletary I just keep doing what he does well, making people miss in small spaces and happily accept his career 4.7 ypc.
-
Well, that certainly is more encouraging than looking bad against the camp fodder. 😋

Not to mention, firm support without the cutting of the underwire……

Klein wouldn’t be visible on the TV screen. I could run away from Klein. He looked a little better when they learned he had to stay near the LOS and used him better, but that means compromises elsewhere.
-
You will get to see people run by Klein in coverage like he is a statue covered in pigeon poop instead. YAY us! Edmunds wasn’t perfect by any means, but I’ll miss him in the pass game, which is today’s NFL.

Did we draft one of those guys?

Jonny Manziel documentary on Netflix is great
Augie replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry, I thought you were going to say Mike Evans. 😋 Manziel didn’t have the same level of talent, but we’ll never know what it might have been had he stayed balanced and worked at his craft. -
Thank you for sharing that. There are far too many topics people try to avoid rather than discuss openly. We all have 💩 in our lives somewhere. Anything we can do to help another person going thru something similar makes the world a better place. Sometimes just knowing you are not alone helps. We’ve been thru our stuff, and I won’t derail things here (at this moment) but I swear that just talking about it helps. People we barely knew would approach us and want to ask questions. They were going thru the same kind of stuff and just needed someone to listen. Helping others navigate this stuff is an act of kindness.

There are very few BIG cities that I like, and even the ones I do like are just for visits. I like that tier of smaller size cities beneath the NYC or Chicago level. I love Nashville and we used to have a place there, but fear the growth will ruin it. I used to spend a lot of time in Charleston, SC for work and loved that history, charm and great food. Somewhere in between there is my strike zone for the proper city size.

The bold makes me wonder about your take on cities. I went to school in Cincinnati and still get back on a regular basis. I would never live there again due to the weather, but downtown is great. I don’t think of it as being industrial at all, though there must be some. Very walkable with stadiums and parks and a great bar scene. Over The Rhine (OTR) is hopping with new(er) breweries and restaurants. I’ve heard Detroit is coming back as well, but I haven’t been there in decades. The guy in the link below is doing a big project there and says the city is going in the right direction. https://www.wtbaker.com/residential-portfolio The guy who designed the properties in the link above thought enough of Buffalo architecture to go there on vacation to see it while his wife went to the beach. No offense, but I’ll trust his opinions on architecture over yours or mine. Many of us just don’t know what to look for. No, it’s not Charleston, SC or Nashville when it comes to drawing crowds, but it is not without merit. .

How would you know if Fitzy was shirtless?

One more Panthers connection. OJ is tied with Rae Carruth the way I see it.
