  1. We know that, @Gugny. Wait! Is Hammers really closed? Are you just trying to drive down demand and sneak in at the late, late hour of 6:45am? .
  2. I share a source with Stephen A. and he says Beane says YOU are to blame! Take THAT! I didn’t think I could really ruin this thread.
  3. I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that. 😋 But I’m with you! Sign me up, and pray it’s not a dumpster fire of an organization. That would be a HUGE deal to me. Avoid dysfunction. It has killed careers.
  4. Which is what you will be on one year sooner if you start playing with the big boys asap. At the back end of your career, that could be one more year at $75 MILLION DOLLARS. One more year.
  5. AWESOME! My college buddy/Best Man has Cincinnati tix for me as he still lives there. I could catch a Xavier hoops game the same weekend, so that was VERY appealing. And of course the home opener is special. I hope to run into you somewhere in London! I’m sure some things will get pinned down as we get closer. By the holidays I will probably have traveled more this year than in any previous decade of my life. That’s a good thing.
  6. I was in early on Meadcoin and would have paid you with that. I was the smartest kid on campus! If my Highmark ticket looks like someone drew it on cardboard with crayons, do not be alarmed.
  7. Hi Mike! Hope to meet you there! Big travel year for me already. Home opener and one road game is ideal. This year we have a puppy in the house, so I’m having guilt on multiple levels.
  8. Probably not getting a meth lab in a $2Mil neighborhood, but you never really know. It was more than “just a water tank”, this would take a LOT of gas but the tank might have been the leak. I thought the recent explosion at another property was thought to be from old wells not properly capped, but that could be off.
  9. Was is something about oil drilling and uncapped wells? I caught just a bit of that. PA has had a lot of drilling!
  10. He lost his mom to cancer at an early age, but you see that coming. This is like being the Powerball winner in reverse. The odds are incredible, but he didn’t even know there was a ticket. What shocking and painful news. Prayers for the family and friends.
  11. Do you mean in your nose and your ears? I think I got that covered. And the eyebrows seem to have a life of their own!
  12. Tom Hanks and the mouse in The Green Mile didn’t see it as a great blessing, but he carried on. I guess that’s what we do, until we can’t.
  13. Will they give you a 5 year deal for $50 Mil/year? With that kind of money, you could pay for the PSL’s on some fine seats in the new stadium! You’ll have a home when you retire!
  14. Similar in Florida. I don’t think they let them insure cars and other things there as a result. We had State Farm when a storm dropped a tree on our roof in FL 20+ years ago. It ruined one slope of an expensive tile roof that could no longer be matched. They would only pay for the broken slope despite the whole roof needing replacement. They paid about $4k and despite fighting it we had to pay for the other $24k. Then we moved to Cincinnati Insurance. The wife called SF and asked why we shouldn’t change. She was told they had no answer for her.
  15. Just 100 years ago the automobile was starting to becoming popular in this country. Now we are driving remote control science labs around on Mars. Just 120 years ago the Wright brothers first took flight. It wasn’t too long after that that men walked on the moon. School kids walk around with cell phones that hold much of the knowledge of mankind. I could not have imagined that when I was their age. What might we be capable of in another 100 years? In 1,000 years? I would not be so quick to rule out what might be possible.
  16. I think they did it to punish all the people who said Edmunds was no good and was not a significant loss to the team. Boy! Did he show THEM!!! 😋
  17. We may be small, but we’re slow!
  18. I think the biggest question is, how much of it can they capture? It would be nice if something good came from the devastation. I’ll still take water over fire. When our kids were young they would do “would you rather face a bear or a shark?” Or any other horrific situation. I’m good on the couch, thanks. .
  19. My bad if I missed it.
  20. Wait, I know the question was out there so that’s fair, but it just seems right to post the positive with the negative. Jerry Rice was a slow guy from a small school does not tell the story.
  21. I’m not your breakdown guy, but Dorian Williams is a football player who flies to the ball. That is fun to watch, but I’m curious what his downside is other than lack of size for MLB. He seems to be instinctive and react well. Is it just learning the D? It was a curious draft pick, but I love having “players.” I just don’t know how they use him.
  22. I remember Casper the friendly ghost as well. Wendy the witch was a blonde hottie in a red robe. My problems apparently go WAY back! 😂
  23. I don’t think so, but it can be an “I told you so” to those who thought he was pure trash. He had value, but I don’t get $18mil/year.
  24. But you will miss so much enjoyment! There will be ups and down, wins and losses, but enjoy the ride! That is what life is about!
  25. I saw an article or an ad somewhere today that showed all the things you can get for $200 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, widely known for affordable concessions. It was a TON of food and drink. My experience is that it is so cheap you will never get to the front of the line to buy any! I gave up three times at one football game! Can I buy a wristband that gets me a fast pass to actual food and beverage? I need a suite!!! Ok, I’m in my calm down period now…..
