  1. Keep at it long enough, and some wild turns are inevitable.
  2. Well, at least you know what you are dealing with now. Armed with that knowledge I hope it’s fairly simple to find a path that will clear things up for you. We went thru something similar with my wife and unexplained abdominal pain. She even had an emergency appendectomy to remove a perfectly healthy appendix and they told her to see an oncologist for something abnormal about her pancreas. Scary stuff, and they couldn’t see her for 3 months! We instead got in to see a GREAT doctor by chance and it was all so simple to him, and he explained it to us. One more surgery and it changed our lives. Big difference between seeing a doctor and seeing the doctor. This guy is such a rock star my SIL, also an OB/GYN, wanted to come from SC just to meet him on the day of surgery. I’m glad you got the right doctor and hope you get this cleared up quickly and simply. P.S. - He asked how long since they noticed the curious pancreas. She told him and he said “that’s not it, you’d be dead by now.” Yeah, but they couldn’t see her for 3 months. Thanks a lot!
  3. Color me skeptical with “you can probably guess what they found” right in the title. Few if any are saying there IS life out there, just that it is possible. To so firmly believe you can be sure something does not exist in the vastness of this universe seems like pure folly to me.
  4. With Mr. Ed so close in the family tree, it would have been seen as a sign of disgrace and brought shame on the bloodline. I don’t make the rules. 🤷‍♂️
  5. I have some other things to accomplish in life before I spend 16 minutes on this. I don’t want to watch one side without rebuttal from the other. That would honestly be fascinating, to have the greatest minds in the field in a round table discussion. Plenty of smart people with different ideas and varying opinions.
  6. How about we just add 3 wins to the only team from NY? I kinda like the sound of that.
  7. That made me curious, and it looks like 24 QB’s have been sacked more than Tua. Sam Howell is the leader at 58. YIKES! Josh and Mahomes are slightly behind Tua at 18 sacks, but only because of some kind of magic I cannot begin to fathom.
  8. I admit I was wrong, I thought Tua would be a broken man by now, at least physically.
  9. I still remember the course and hole we were on years ago when I, naturally, put a ball in the lake guarding the front of the green. My buddy who was a MUCH more regular golfer saw what I was hitting, dropped a ball for me and said “try this, you’ve got it.” When I struck that ball it was like playing a different game. Like I had been playing pickle ball that looked and sounded awful, and I just learned how to play tennis. I’m still not extravagant with golf balls as we rarely have time to become too attached, but I get decent used balls in volume on-line. I may not be great, but I am NOT slow.
  10. I don’t think it’s corruption. I think it’s good old fashion incompetence.
  11. Ahh, London….where they have been the road team since 2013. Thanks for nothing, NFL.
  12. Thank God for the second week. You have a lot of great stuff to remember. Focus on that.
  13. Anywhere outside of a bubble is a risk, but then it always has been. No telling if she’s had it before, but I think there are Monks high in the mountains who have been exposed. It’s all so curious, but I’m glad she got some help and hope she feels much better soon.
  14. I can see security getting a chuckle out of it and waiving him thru. I would! Have I mentioned my spotty employment history? We went to third grade together. I was heartbroken when Miss Nolan got engaged.
  15. That was me pulling the cart. By the time I got to school I was exhausted! That’s how I explained my grades.
  16. Not judging at all, but with such a mild symptom, why did you even test? I’m just curious. EDIT: The last time I tested (positive) I did it because I had a guilty conscience and I was going to see my eye doctor, who I like a lot. Even if it had come back negative, I would have postponed. I felt like crap, regardless of the label we put on it. I needed some at home time. .
  17. Hey, my mind is still as sharp as a water balloon! 😂 I do actually remember telling my mom that before I was in middle school. This is what we call “Winter in Atlanta.” Yuck! Though last year wasn’t too bad. .
  18. You’ll know who your true friends are by which direction they sneeze on a windy day! No, it’s certainly not nothing. Josh has the arm and the experience in that setting, so we can just hope that gives us a bit of an advantage. No telling what the wind will do in that stadium in the next 5 minutes, so I’ll just wait and see.
  19. Drink enough beer, and you’ll see ALL KINDS of crazy things, but that was iconic!
  20. I knew as a child that 40 and rain was the worst possible weather. I’d MUCH rather have 20 and snow.
  21. I hope she’s not feeling too bad. I’m not sure how many times I’ve had it now. The first time was by far the worst. I don’t even test any more. We went on a trip and we got it, I told the wife we had it so she kept testing. Negative means nothing, because on the 3rd or 4th time it was positive. If you feel bad, stay away from people, nothing new about that. Sorry your plans got messed up, but more importantly I hope she’s feeling better soon.
  22. Wait! I give up! I give up! Do we play Sunday or Monday? 😋 We’ve certainly played in worse.
  23. I’m afraid the odds would be against him surviving the first attempt, but it would be a nice trick to have in your bag! Once. I recall WAY back when, the Chiefs would put a tall jumper back there trying to block long FG’s at the goalposts.
  24. It is a limited genre, to be sure, but if you go behind the curtains in those VHS rental places………. ….or so I’m told.
  25. Umm, I thought high school girls WERE the babysitters. I used to go….visit and help while they earned their spending money. There was a lot of down time. 🤷‍♂️
