The Chargers made the BIG move to get Mack to pair with Joey Bosa however they are not thrilled with their LBs especially the ILBs. Powder Blue Horseshoe loves Edmunds.

The Chargers would like to trade down from the #17 overall pick.

The FO wanted a disgruntled player playing out his final year of his contract in front of their $250M QB? Is that what you are trying to say here? I agree. AFTER the 2022 season. -

Yes Centre is not our number 1 need THIS year. AFTER this year it will be a top 3 need. I don't see DaQuan Jones as be a 1DT starter anymore. Good to rotate in but quite frankly a drop off over Harry. I would really like to find a way to trade up to draft 1DT Jordan Davis who was projected to go #17 to the Chargers a couple of months ago and now may go earlier to the Eagles. I wouldn't want the Bills to trade our 2nd round or 3rd round picks THIS year but would consider: (a) packaging our "MLB" Edmunds plus our 1st rounder THIS year to trade up just before Eagles first 1st round pick (if we do that we need to use our 2nd round pick on a true MLB -- I have some ideas there) (b) packaging our 1st round pick plus out 4th round pick plus one of her 6th round picks and one of our 7th round picks to jump ahead of the Eagles. The 3rd round pick plus our remaining 6th and/or 7th round picks would move us a little within the 3rd round to draft Zac Tom. Let's face it...unless we draft a punter, only 3-4 rookies are making this team this year. We still have UDAs to look at. -
I would be honoured to take the Chargers.

Mitch Morse's new two year deal was restructured so that after the 2022 season, he can be cut or retiring without a sizeable dead cap hit. We definitely need to have someone on the roster to take over the Centre position in 2023 and it ain't Back Up Bates. We need not one but two young Guards to improve our running game and protect our $250M QB. I like Zak Tom in the 3rd round who could start at Guard in 2022 and shift over to Centre in 2023. The position I believe you missed is the 1DT to replace Star. The DTs we signed are not suitable for that role. -
Name 2 players drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2022

Jordan Davis in the 1st round after a trade up or two. Zak Tom in the 3rd round after a small trade up to leap frog the Pats who are interested in him as well. Everyone knows who Jordan Davis is. For those unfamiliar with Zak Tom.... 3rd Round -- Zack Tom -- OT/C -- Wake Forest I think Zak will be available at #89 however if necessary use one of our 6th round picks to trade up past the Pats who are rumoured to love him. ---------------------------------------------- Zach Tom, DS #16 OT, Wake Forest Name: Zach Tom College: Wake Forest Number: 50 Height: 6-4 Weight: 297 Position: OT Pos2: OG/C Class/Draft Year: rSr/2022 40 Low: 4.98 40 Time: 5.09 40 High: 5.20 Projected Round: Stock: Combine Results Pro Day Results Combine Invite: Yes Height: 6037 Weight: 297 Zybek PD3X AKA "Official" 40 Yard Dash (ET): 40 Yard Dash (HH): 20 Yard (ET): 20 Yard (HH): 10 Yard (ET): 10 Yard (HH): 225 Lb. The award is given annually in memory of the late Jim Tatum to the top senior student-athlete among the league's football players. Tatum, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year, coached in the 1950s at both Maryland and North Carolina and believed strongly in the concept of the student-athlete. The owner of a 3.76 career GPA, Tom was named a 2021 ACC Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient after completing his undergraduate degree in Business and Enterprise Management with ***** Laude honors last spring. Tom has been an All-ACC Academic Team member each of the past two seasons while also earning ACC Academic Honor Roll honors during all four years in Winston-Salem. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Business, becoming just the second Wake Forest football student-athlete to enroll in the MBA program. The 6-5, 295-pound Prairieville, Louisiana, native has been a mainstay on the offensive front for the Atlantic Division champion Demon Deacons, who enter this Saturday's Subway ACC Football Championship Game leading the conference in scoring (42.9 points per game) and ranked third in total yards per contest (483.6). A Campbell Trophy semifinalist, Tom also earned a spot on the preseason watch list for Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the best interior lineman in the country. "Everyone on our staff is extremely proud of how Zach Tom has excelled on and off the field during his career at Wake Forest," said Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson. "His dedication and hard work have allowed him to become one of the best offensive tackles in the country, and he is just the second football student-athlete to enroll in Wake Forest's prestigious M.B.A. program. "On behalf of our football program, I would like to thank the Atlantic Coast Conference for recognizing Zach as the 2021 Jim Tatum Award recipient." - ACC Football https://draftscout.com/dsprofile.php?PlayerId=1024160&DraftYear=2022 ----------------------------------------------- Zack would be our starting C when Morse is gone in 2023 and will be a starting Guard in 2022 for the Bills. Bates is crap and should be nothing more than a back up OL. Bates has had plenty of opportunity with the Bills and has NEVER cracked the starting line up except for when there were injuries to other OL. Anyone thinking Bates can be a starting OL on the Bills is wrong or simply adopts a "any 5 fat dudes can be a NFL OL" philosophy because they want to draft a "speedy" WR, "lock down" CB, "game changing" RB or "field stretching" TE and/or some other ridiculously stupid pick rather than properly building the OL and DL. Zach is flexible enough to play both C and OT as he did in Wake Forest but I see him as a great C in the NFL. He is smart enough to make the calls at the NFL level. -
Last Year, Efe Obada signed a 1 year, $1,500,000 contract with the Buffalo Bills, including a $300,000 signing bonus, $800,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,500,000. The below is from ==> https://overthecap.com/player/efe-obada/3831/ Career Earnings: $3,475,200 Career APY: $579,200 Potential Earnings: $3,455,400 Total Guarantees: $650,000 Largest Cash Payment: $1,500,000 (2021) Largest Cap Number: $1,485,294 (2021) I believe he is now 30 so he is looking for his likely last contract. Started late, never went to college and has a huge ceiling at 6'6" and 265 lbs. Obada was part of that NFL International Program. He is a beast of an athlete. Hungry for that one sizeable contract. With very limited playing time and a short history of development he produced the numbers that he did the past 2 years -- one in Buffalo. The trend is clear. He is going to learn more and better pass rushing moves. He will get 10 sacks with more playing time. He flashed in his 1st season with us. He only played 8 games and got 3.5 sacks in his first year in our system. Play him 17 games next year and he gets 10 sacks for the Bills. Why NOT lock him up for 3 years at $15M total? I know, it sounds like a lot of money. However, other teams watch video. They will see a guy who looked raw. Who flashed. Who has a high ceiling. Let me structure the contract for you: Term ==> 3 years Total ==> $15M Signing Bonus ==> $5M 1st Year Base ==> $2M 2nd Year Base ==> $4M 3rd Year Base ==> $4M Dead Cap Hit After One Year ==> $3.3M He will get much more than that as a Free Agent. Every team is looking for pass rushers. 7 Solo Tackles + 3.5 sacks in very limited playing time. With more playing time, he is starting to show some real results at 29 years old. Crap!!! He is only now learning pass rushing moves. Sign him for 3 years and $15M total -- $5M Signing Bonus plus base of $2M in 2022, $4M in 2023 and $4M in 2024. He will be 32 years old at the end of that contract and you see what his results are playing every game. Thoughts?

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)
HIT BY SPIKES replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yet another wrong thinking fan that thinks any fat guys can be put on the OL. Can you please recruit a couple for us the next time you are at Duff's? Try me Kool guy. What do you know? Shall we draft another really fast guy? Oh, oh another "lockdown corner"? How about we simply protect our $250M investment and build an OL that we can actually run behind rather than being met 2 yards behind the OL. P.S.: Mom's calling you to come from the basement for supper. -

25 – Buffalo Bills – Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver, Alabama If Williams had not suffered an ACL tear in the National Championship game then I suspect there was very little chance of him dropping to this spot. The Bills more than most teams could afford to wait if Williams is not ready to contribute week 1. He was clocked in the 4.3s before his injury this season. If the Bills are confident he will retain that game breaking speed he would be a steal here. Nope. No way. No how. None of our first 3 picks should weigh less than 300 lbs. Diggs and Davis are an excellent #1 and #2. McKenzie will take Beasely's spot in the slot or we will bring in a younger and cheaper FA as well. We need 2 interior offensive linemen and a 1DT with our first 3 picks. -
Those who know me know that I customize a menu for each week’s opponent. Last week it was Manhattan Clam Chowder only because I recently developed some Lactose Intolerance and New England Clam Chowder may lead me to shart myself during the game. This week I am going to smoke some KC style beef and pork ribs that I have had under rub since Tuesday with a side order of smoked jalapeño corn and smoked baked beans. Local craft Double IPAs. https://cliffordbrewing.com/product/all-roads-ipa/ Cognac for the victory celebration https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/hine-rare-vsop-356857#.Ye09y1jMK3I

Near Hamilton Ontario keeping an eye on my electric smoker from my hot tub while watching the game from my outdoor TV as my smoker smokes a rack of beef ribs, a rack of pork ribs, corn on the cob with jalapeño butter and baked beans. Drinking Double IPAs by the dozen until the victory cognac. https://cliffordbrewing.com/product/all-roads-ipa/ https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/hine-rare-vsop-356857#.Ye09y1jMK3I- 91 replies
