Just keep in mind there will be a sea of Black/Gold and Green whenever both PA. teams are playing at the same time. Either way you'll have a tv for the game. I have seasons tixs and if I don't attend a game my girlfriend and I go to Champs in Altoona. Damons might not be a bad call either but I've never watched an NFL game there? Just college ball and that was back in the 90's.
Whaley has done a fantastic job so far embracing his new position. That being said I ope/pray the coaching staff follows suit. I firmly believe the coaching staff with the time in the offseason has reviewed or better gone over every and anything from last year. With this time off to study and such they will have the players n a better position to win.
Great post Buftex and thank you for the video linky. A few things I would like to say and maybe one of you old timers can answer this? The kicker for the Chargers at one time was gravely ill with either liver/kidney disease and is he still alive? Also, speaking of the Comeback Game I remember at one time I had it on VHS only to be replaced y the DVD a few years ago and wanted to know with the unedited version and the call from Charlie Jones and Todd Christensen if anyone remembers when they were cutting to a commercial break there was some lag and Jones made a smart azz comment about the Bills as if he were upset that they were making a comeback only to see another round of postseason play again? It was as if Jones wanted Houston to win.
That was a special year for sure! not only was I at the Comeback Game but the following week in Pittsburgh for the Divisional game against the Steelers. R.I.P Mitch "Pit Bull" Frerotte.
Yes it would have been! not to go off topic but it's strange when I listen to a pirate game on the radio and I hear the voice of Greg Brown who at one time was the color analyst for the Bills I just remember him in the booth with Van after the Christie field goal saying to Van...can we get a do you believe it! in my hometown is the pirates AA affiliate "The Curve" and I've spoken to Greg a few times and he has nothing but the highest admiration for Van.
Couldn't have been said any better than this bladiebla! again, do I we want EJ to succeed? Yes! sadly though just like another change at the HC position including different positional coaches/coordinators we're starting all over again. how nice it would be to have stability not only in who's under center but head coaching as well instead of the perpetual turnover. I promise the players do as well! Sure do miss those days going into every sunday knowing we can beat any and everybody not only on the field but the sidelines as well.
and let's not forget the o-line anchored by Hull, Richter, Wolford, Parker and even House Ballard. You control the line of scrimmage...you control the game!
Not a knock on your post cause I love the stat prediction but sadly a 7 game win season says it all. We have the talent on the roster to be better than that as we were last year. Again, depending on what Hackett dials up and if the ground game can get established I see better than 7. The battles won or lost in the trenches and if we can control that I see 10+ wins. I've been as eason ticket holder for years and how nice would it be to dial-up some post season tixs
I'll happily give EJ his just due when it's earned! As for your comment about the dropsie twins I applaud that and I agree. As for unlucky #13 I have no issues parting ways with him. Love what's in the WR stable which will only get better/improve without SJ.
Keep in mind the Carolina game was early on in the season and as last season progressed so did the Panthers while the Bills continued to find ways to lose games. Was never a fan of the Manuel pick but as this point what concerns me more than EJ's numerous issues mechanically and physically is Hackett and his mind-boggling play calling? I'm sure many will disagree but Lewis is good for a game or two if Manuel goes down. Love Thad as a backup but that's it! Still not pleased with our dysfunctional QB carousel
