  1. It's possible it's CTE, but it's also possible that years of being told he's special, he's number one, he's amazing, yada yada yada have just gone to the guy's head. It's a similar phenomenon to politicians who when they're Town Councilmen they're still "every day joes" but when they make it to congress and what not they become these monsters demanding all kinds of crazy ***** and they're concept of reality has become warped by years of people bending over backwards to kiss their ass. I think there could be a bit of both here... Brown used to be determined to prove who he thought he was... now that he has proven it, he is enjoying shoving it in people's faces... Could be CTE, and it could just be his natural personality coming out and being amplified by years of people kissing his ass and telling him how special he is. I could see him having a fall like TO did when he starts to decline and simply can't deal with people not fawning all over him anymore. TO melted down towards the end as he was falling off, and his act got old... his production level and his headache level were no longer in the correct proportion for teams being willing to sign him. TO probably could've played another year or two... but he wouldn't have been the TO of old, but he would still bring the circus to town. It wasn't worth it to any team to deal with that. Brown is going to get to that point too, and he LOVES the spot light just like TO... so I can see a melt down like TO. Somewhere Rex Ryan is drooling over this picture...
  2. I didn't want him when we tried to trade for him earlier in the off-season and this garbage makes me happier that he isn't here. He's going to roll in and demand the ball when he's ready, but have zero chemistry with Carr... then the words and exchanges in the media will start... I suspect a full on spiral out of control from this team by week 5.
  3. Darnold drew first blood by winning their first head to head last year... 2018: Darnold - 16/24 - 170 Yards - 1 TD - 1 INT... 4 Carries for 10 yards Allen - 18/36 - 204 Yards - 0 TD - 2 INTs... 9 Carries for 101 & 1 TD Hopefully Allen evens the score week 1, and then doubles down week 17.
  4. Add him to the PUP, shut him down for the rest of the off-season, and bring him back or release him in week 6 depending how our depth looks at that point.
  5. Good to see you again brother!
  6. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-sign-offensive-lineman-jarron-jones He's not a former Panther... but the Giants are kinda like the Panthers with management now... so makes sense they'd sign him. Camp fodder either way, they need someone to take reps in camp and in the last preseason game. They are going to be looking for a trade for a swing tackle though... or combing the waiver wire at final cut downs.
  7. Thats cold! lol... it was a long time ago to remember handles... ummmm LikeI've? I'm pretty sure Jay is on here, but he'd have Chevy Chase as his avatar...
  8. Every game matters, and on top of that, a team we will more than likely be battling it out for a playoff spot with is the Jets. Having that H2H win early does wonders. Not to mention the fact that our schedule is MUCH easier in the early part of the year than it is in the later part of the year. If they want to really have a solid shot at being a playoff team they need to beat the teams they SHOULD beat, and win division games.. Week 1 is a Division game we need to have to start laying the foundation to get into the post season... Assuming we drop 2 games to the Pats as always, we need to beat the Dolphins twice to be at .500 in the division. The lynch pin for making the playoffs against other contenders will be division record, so we need to beat the Jets at least once probably twice... If we want a good look at the post season we need 6 to 7 wins in our first 8 weeks... because the second 8 weeks are going to be HELL ish... @ Jets - Division game against another Playoff Hopeful, MUST WIN @ Giants - ***** team and a game you SHOULD WIN Vs Bungles - Team full of injuries and issues with a new coaching staff - SHOULD WIN Vs Pats - Pats always beat us... upset would be great but let's not plan on it @ Titans - Under performing team with a QB who is looking down the barrel of being out of a job - Coin flip but hopeful wain Vs Dolphins - ***** team and a game you SHOULD WIN Vs Eagles - Very good strong team - probably should lose Vs Redskins - Middling team without a QB - Should Win IF you can string together 6-7 wins with only losing to the Pats or the Pats and insert 1 other loss here (probably Eagles, but ideally not a division loss), you only need to win 4 of your next 8, which is a tough road: @ Browns - Much improved team and generally considered a division contender and playoff contender this year - Should Lose @ Dolphins - ***** team and a game you SHOULD WIN Vs Broncos - This is another team that will be battling for a playoff spot with us, not the top of the league for sure, but not bottom either - Coin Flip but hopeful win @ Cowgirls - Very good football team on the road on Thanksgiving, this will be a hard fought game - Should Lose Vs Ravens - Good football team that will be a mixed bag of what they bring to the table on offense - Coin Flip but hopeful win @ Steelers - They're one of the best teams in the AFC and unless they have a sudden decline, they will likely win the division over the Browns, this game will be hard against a playoff contender - Probably lose @ Pats - LOSS Vs Jets - MUST WIN In the last 8 games, the way I see it, we have 1 "Should win" game, the rest are coin flips or should lose games... It REALLY shows the importance of starting out strong and winning those early games.
  9. When was this made? Because Waddle is still in there as the Backup LT.
  10. That's definitely a good point, I am more referring to his catch radius and height, but it's fair to say he needs to get stronger... 14 reps at the combine wasn't worst but certainly wasn't the best either.
  11. Looks like he could have the makings of a solid player but can't stay healthy. Jets probably made that move knowing the Pats and Bills would be knocking on the door of this guy with our own injury issues,
  12. Zeke has more leverage as a producer for their offense, but less as a player because of where he is on his rookie deal, and how short he's bee in in the league... I think he'll report sooner... he has too much time left, and the team will tell him they'll pick up his option after this year giving him a massive raise and they'll discuss in good faith, HOWEVER they simply can't afford to give him the money now. As a guy still early on a rookie deal he can sit, but it's not a precedent that is going to be made, no team is going to let a rookie hold the hostage when they fought to have a rookie pay scale. Gordon is also very young, but he has more leverage from the stand point of time in the league and having THAT particular leg to stand on... but with Eckler in LA, they have another completely viable back, and their offense runs through Rivers and those WRs more than Gordon... he's amazing but he's a complimentary piece... he's not "the show" like Zeke is.... I honestly think they don't feel a drop off having Eckler be the guy instead... I think Gordon holds out until week 6... the question is do they trade him or just let him sit? I think Zeke reports for week 1.
  13. I would've agreed if they didn't have so many darn issues with health at TE. If Kroft, Croom, and Knox weren't all hurt (some worse than others) I could easily see them looking to run an H-Back system for when they want a blocker back there, and when they don't keep a TE on the line to block as necessary. However their top 3 TEs have all been hurt, and Kroft will likely miss the start of the season. Lee Smith is a great blocking TE, but he's also slow and not a threat in any other way, so he's less than Ideal for anything but pass blocking... you can't really roll with him as your #1 TE. I don't see them cutting DiMarco when they don't have a viable healthy H-Back, and their TE position is in shambles... they're going to want to keep a FB to make sure they can spring the running game to take pressure off Allen in the passing game. Of course that's my opinion, and last year the stats showed DiMarco was not used much... but he was still on the roster... Could be wrong, but I think they keep him at least for part of the season until they get Kroft back healthy. Then they may get more creative with a healthy set of TEs who can run, catch, and block.
  14. 1) Brown 2) Jones 3/Slot) Beasley 4) Foster 5) OPEN 6) Roberts - Being mixed in as WR, but still primarily a Special Teamer From all reports that #5 spot is looking like Ray Ray McClouds, but the battle isn't over yet fellas.... while TC is wrapping up as they enter Preseason games, this is where the guys like Duke Williams and David Sills are going to shine more. Both are big bodied WRs which is something this roster will not have without them. They are high point jump ball threats who won't wow you with their top end speed like Brown, Foster or McKenzie, but their catch radius and hand skills getting free from defenders will. When Williams was signed, Beane said that is when he felt he didn't need to go and get a WR in the draft. They had a lot of faith in him as a player to feel that way... Then as has become famous from Bills Embedded, they made Sills far and away their #1 target in UDFA... so they really wanted him too, at the very least as a developmental project. At current, WIlliams is a more polished product right now as he played in the CFL And honed his game, where Sills is much more raw... but Sills has WAY more growth potential left in him... These guys won't stand out as much in shorts and helmets as they will with pads on in live game action... their skill sets are more conducive to being "Gamers" than practice studs... I am VERY curious to see if either of them stands out and makes a name for themselves to really start pushing to make this roster, or if they're going to stay left behind in the dust. As of right now the reports are that Williams hasn't been remarkable, and Sills has dropped a few too may balls and looked a little off balance running routes. Could still be nerves, but both need to right the ship if they want a shot at that last spot on the roster.
  15. Camp body... not a lot of good players on sitting out there with 2880 football players in camps across the country already... and that's not counting guys on IR Look for them to evaluate their team Thursday, and if they aren't happy make a trade this coming weekend... They will also be scouring the waiver wire as teams do final cut down's but for now thats a few weeks away and they need someone to be here to take additional reps now, but they'll be looking for a better player in any way they can.
  16. Only one more practice for Camp before Preseason kicks off, and then combined practices with Carolina.... I bet we see Ford back in the OT spot with Waddle hurt.
  17. All of those sound great... all will depend on Allen and now the health of the offensive line. I personally think Shaq is traded during TC before final cuts. He will be showcased a bit in Preseason like Sammy Watkins was, and then shipped off for something else... either a swing tackle and a draft pick or just a draft pick or two to help us get back to 7 in 2020, since we gave up one this past draft.
  18. K-9 made the point I was going to. Until the HOF removes his bust, the Bills won't do anything regarding the WOF IMO... If they were going to do it, they should've done it when he went to jail. It was the perfect out... IF they did it out of nowhere now, it would be a whole to-do story. Why bring that kind of press in? ALSO IMO, when they decide on renovating the Ralph or building a new stadium either way I see them changing the way they do the wall of fame... it's not treated like other teams do their "Ring of Honor", I think they should move it to the outside of the stadium, or do a monument park style thing instead of having the names on the walls. It will give them advertising space, and it will allow them to remove someone like OJ who simply gets removed in the shuffle. It's less of a story if it's done in conjunction with a full on move of the entire wall, and people won't be all that outraged by him being taken down with the others and not be put back up. Just my 2 pennies though...
  19. I mean you're definitely not wrong that they'll do that, but if they were high on McDermott's ability to play swing tackle, they wouldn't have added as many guys to the mix as they did. Beane is all about "churning the bottom of the roster"... Waddle is above that bottom tier, so I think this will get him very active in searching for a replacement... Honestly there may not be one available, teams aren't going to readily move a viable back up swing tackle at this juncture for the exact reason we need one... potential injuries. The only way we get a guy is if a team has extra and we have something to offer they really need... that's why I said RB or WR are our best trade bait right now. But a move is unlikely. But if the position doesn't shake out properly by cut downs, I expect to see the Bills shopping for a swing tackle at final cuts.
  20. Done-zo for the year it seems, on Waddle... I could see them making a move to add another OT, and while you're right, Preseason will dictate a lot, I think this could prompt them to keep an extra O-Linemen too if they can't seem to figure out a proper swing tackle... We're definitely looking at a potential trade situation now. Maybe our depth at RB and WR will come into play... Yeldon or one of our many WRs could be moved for a back up swing tackle...
  21. i posed about this earlier in this thread... there ARE Better helmets out there, which absorb impact rather than just holding the head in place better and still allowing the full impact to reverberate through the helmet to the brain. But the NFL And the NFLPA have been absurdly slow to pay attention to this technology shift... There is skepticism despite great lab results... but until someone takes a step and leap of faith and trys these helmets on a wider scale, no one will accept them. Its a shame, there is something better out there but no one will move to use them.
  22. I'm wondering if the large number of issues they've been incurring on the O-Line will impact how many O-Linemen they end up keeping. I think we all were projecting 8-9, but if they're really worried about sufficient depth with this rash of injuries they may keep 10, which mean they'll need to trim back elsewhere. There was already thought they could carry 4 RB plus a FB, and 6 - 7 WRs depending if they keep 6 Plus Roberts as a special teams ace, or 6 including him.... Only 53 spots, it's going to be interesting seeing how they juggle this roster down to that and balance their injuries and depth concerns. Also more in alignment with the purpose of the thread, I hope Waddle is okay and on the mend! Good competition and depth across every position is key for camp and preseason.
