Very noticeable, yet still kinda surprising. Dude very much has the hippy tree hugger vibes, but then brings aggression and grit to the field in spades lol interesting dude and much more appreciated in current role than being a #2 early season

Last two games prove Allen deserved a dome
BillsShredder83 replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im a fan who wanted and still wouldve preferred a dome. However, we are not going into a stadium anything resembling our current spot. That stadium is known for crazy sideways snow and swirling winds in endzones. From my understanding the new spot is going to be closer to a sunroof, than it is 4 windows down in your car. Im def cool with that. Keeps the fans a bit more comfortable, as the wind in the cold kills you. Visually it should let some snow fall in straight down thats kinda pretty and not effect the passing game all that much -
Sure you can say you're a bit disappointed with defense last week, it was classic trap game scenario sandwiched between kc win and Detroit, with a crappy west coast trip. But Josh did not have to wear a cape. We turned Josh up to 80% hero ball right at the sweet spot. Everybody else stepped up and made great plays, Brady had the boys prepared. What the heck did they see on film to make ty Johnson such a focal point coming into this game?!?! Johnson is solid and pretty good with the opportunities he's presented, but today wasn't him getting a few opportunities and making the most of it. Something they spent time making him a focal point coming into the week that paid off bigly. Cap tip to all coaches involved with this Defense made several stops in the first half though, and against the #1 offense, missing 3 starters in the secondary. Second half rolled around and we went into a prevent defense, helping to slow the game down a bit. Campbell (smartly) sped it back up with onside to start the 4th quarter. At the time I thought it was a bad call, too early... but then it played out some and I thought about it more, watching it play out. It was brilliant. They knew they couldn't get a stop, so speed up possessions, give yourself more time, and by putting us that close to redzone, forced us into 4 down territory, and 4 down territory inside a compressed field. Those 2 things increased their chance of getting a turnover and that was the only thing swinging this game back for them. The offense was prepared. We were in prevent defense a whole half. Feels like we could've changed it up if we needed, but whatever formula they had they felt comfortable letting play out. Game felt very in control all day. Good defense doesn't have to be 10points and under. It can be doing whatever keeps the game plan together. Had Detroit made a stop or forced a turnover, I think we could've changed up the defense to be more aggressive and handle it differently.... but Detroit is explosive, so slowing the game down, not accelerating total possessions, played into our lead. I'd like to see more pressure from our base defense, but I don't see 40pt games being our norm. I think they need to be above average for us to be a real legitimate threat. ID MUCH RATHER ROLL INTO PLAYOFFS WITH THE OFFENSE SMOLDERING AND DEFENSE LAGGING, THAN PREVIOUS YEARS OF THE OPPOSITE. WERE SO MULTIDIMENSIONAL, I FEEL OUR OFFENSIVE FIREPOWER IS SUSTAINABLE. THEY CAN BAIL US OUT MORE THAN A DEFENSE CAN IN THE PLAYOFFS

Owners cheap enough to believe this. How are you ok putting up a quarter billion a year salary and cheating out on a turf. That be like having a Ferrari and a gravel driveway. How much can it possibly cost? $5M??? How many hundreds of millions you think that thing has cost the league as a whole?

We probably offered to pay for it after those 2 weeks of hell in Satan's anus in 2022. It's hard to hate an inanimate object much more

Omg thank you!! I been b wording to everyone around me about that being the second highest knee killing surface in league. I would've absolutely hated being a fan for them with 8 home games. Theirs and Jersey's surfaces have astronomically higher knee injuries than every other stadium. % it was almost double the rate

Josh is pregnant?!?@?!

Who's Belinda lol

Remember betting odds are driven by action. The bet is more relevant to them locally, and is one of the few names everybody in that neck of the woods knows from his time at LSU. Still interesting and relevant, but it's not Vegas psychics or guys "connected". Seems more like rumor mill and self fulfilling confirmation bias i majorly driving this. But it could be copium from me not wanting it to be true lol

Did Josh like the call at the goal line?
BillsShredder83 replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really? I believe you but my first time hearing that. Likely because it isnt a thing that happens or makes sense to do, but didnt know itd be a penalty. Intentional grounding? -
Too late for this IMO. If you were going to try and get him up to live speed via live reps, you had to plug him in my like week 3 or 4. Its too far in to do it now, committed to a redshirt, barring end of game in a blowout type reps

Bills only had 9 players on the field for the final punt
BillsShredder83 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to mention the deepest guy back watched it bounce into endzone and made zero attempt like he didn't know clock was running -
Youre not wrong, but i think theres a much more nuanced take here. Most teams are lucky to have 4 guys worth starting. We have so many, that play so well as a unit, we cant justify keeping them off the field. Obv great for short yardage, but we can also hide our intentions out of it better than other teams. Its not an obvious run! Also great way to demoralize and wear down a defense. Real athletic line great at getting up the field, opens up some interesting looks where you can pull a guy out, and leave the 6th in to cover for him. Like a backwards blitz almost lol

I agree, minus a few rare instances. LT. Josh Gordon (but i guess that falls under "serious" players). My favorite story is the one from Dennis (i think first name?) Wolfe from Denver back in the day!! LOL dude was talking about micro dosing mushrooms before games to help get in the zone, and accidentally getting a bit aggressive before a game. Talking about the pop from the fans coming out of the tunnel and feeling like a gladiator LOL that was on Rogan for anybody interested. The whole episode was great

Part of that is developing so many quality lineman you cant roll out only 5. We seriously need to do whatever is necessary to lock up Beach-Chairs Kromer! I dont even know his contract status, I knew his value prior to this post, but I want him locked up further. Offer his daughter Brooke, shes a reporter, a job with the team too. Drill another well Terry!!!

I bet itd work and is actually the best place and chance for him to succeed. How many college disciplinary coaches have we seen flame out hard in the nfl. hard to do that crap to grown men with bigger egos and millions in the bank, and they run right back to college. BB managed to iron fist rule even an ego like Brady. Imagine what he could do with babyface 18yr olds that only have to put up with him 3-4 years.

This guys assumed guilty until proven otherwise. Ate the emotion loaded super victim vs. cartoon villain narrative, hook line and sinker. And expects proof of something that didnt happen. You cant prove something that didnt happen. You can disprove specific accusations. Ppl are going to be afraid to speak out that this didnt happen, because what if it happened and they didnt see it. Or happened when they went to get a beer, or use bathroom. No single soul went there to watch this family uninterrupted. Not any one person can prove this didnt happen. The upside of saying "I was there, that didnt happen" is next to zero. The downside of saying it, and then you were distracted by the game or were gone to pee for 3 mins, and then someone produces footage, has an infinite downside. Fired. Cancelled. Involved in a civil suit. However, collectively, their were 50,000 ppl around them the entire time. At any one point, had it happened SOMEBODY wouldve seen it. Its been 3 days. So either nothing happened at all like is being claimed OR the stadium is filled with ppl who hate kids with cancer, and our huge active rivalry with a team we play every 4 years, cross continent, in our much despised adjacent NFC West division team in the 49ers. What a long held deep rooted bias we have against them!!!! Rrrrrrghhhh, it makes me want to slap a newborn koala that they exist! Our 9'ers hatred exceeds 55k peoples disdain for child abuse. Maybe a Marine is the most well self-controlled father on earth to not lay hands on or make any type of scene at all. I heard the bar to enter into military is lower than ever. He's one of those docile "tips of the spear." Maybe we filled that stadium up with San Quenton hardened criminals that day The onus is on the accuser to provide a single shred of proof here. Which shoulda be hella easy with that many people/cameras, and how angry child abuse makes 99.9% of the population. Or maybe 55k ppl all missed this heinous boisterous guy yelling he was going to throw a kid down the stairs/push down the stairs/her chair/ "a 49ers chair".
-
Thats not how it works. These people are not victims. Youre stan'ing for your emotional captor. Couldn't be me. Theres a camera in every pocket, 52k potential witnesses, TV cameras everywhere, security cameras to observe this exact thing. Its been 3 days. Did they double down or back down toning their version down? They counted on people using emotion, first and only, to carry their story. Not one person has corroborated the story. A night when the spotlight of the whole country was in that building. "Its easier to fool someone, than convince them theyve been fooled."

This story gets worse and worse... if this really happened, and the guy responded with the most conservative reaction of publicly saying " Hey WTF, this guy just pushed my 8yr old down the stairs", then the crowd looks and shes laying upside down at bottom of stairwell...... the crowds reaction is "whoa, messed up" and goes back to watching game? If this story was even 5% true, that guys rightfully on a ventilator and publicly fired from his job via a company tweet!

So a charity organization that works with trained professionals to generate large attention interests. An angry parent (who maybe doesnt understand implications) wrote this out. Its been smelling like fish for 3 days, while the money piles up...... Where is Hope Rises to come in and fix the narrative with a controlled press release, doing damage control to not exploit a large NFL franchise for a misunderstanding at best, or heinous fabricated lie at worst. ******crickets from Hope Rises******** Sooooooo, this company is cool with trashing the fan base if it brings money in. Or theyre fine waiting a week of exposure, to theeeennnnn come in andcorrect the narrative, but not until the story starts to loose gas. Then they can juice it up with an apology for the "miscommunication", thats not a real apology, but just a way to juice up the 2nd wave of money. Im sorry, but that feels like the tactic, and I am not cool with that.
-
Because its a manipulative money grab thats predicated on completely false claims, that tarnishing our 50+ years of sterling awesome fanship. Tarnishes our entire city. You might not care about that but i certainly do, and Id bet more people here care than don't. The lie is our reputation in exchange for them stealing money. I'm unwilling to pay it, and the parents should be publicly humiliated and proven as liars, liars for profit. The headline might seem stupid to you, but I live out of NY. People from here will ask me what I think about 8yr old cancerous children being pushed down the stairs for "wrong laundry". Its already true in their heads. So now I have to either eat it, or risk being the guy 'defending a child abuser' that doesnt exist. You can be cool with it but you shouldnt. My Asian immigrant in-laws will hear about this. They've never been to a football game. They dont know anything about my hometown. The second thing they'll learn about Bills football is this crazy story, with the first being I love that team and those people. It doesnt have to be that wild of a scenario for other Bills fans to deal with something similar. It'll be new girls they try to date, co-workers, their grandparents, whatever. It's the same thing as poor Browns fans landing Watson on their team, maybe worse.
