We've had no running game, due to inefficiency and lack of attempts... if youre going to operate that way you need a chain mover, so crucial to this offense. in 2020 cole had 53 first down catches, good for ~15th in league. if i had to single out one stat that i think adds the most firepower to the offense, it would be this DK having 35-40 1st downs seems like a realistic healthy goal to me..... anything over that is icing on the cake

I didn't want to pay the man, but pretending he didn't eat up 66.6% of the field from the middle, is going to be a wake up call for a lot of us. That said, $1 spent on the offense adds the same amount of points, that $2 keeps off the board, and is more reliable production (IMO). We don't need a world class defense. Create pressure. Get some stops. Force some mistakes by playing a bit loose, and that'll be enough to get the job done

I dunno why this is being attacked as unreasonable. All these are more relevant than stats. Game in, game out, "did the defense do its job today." We're we getting pressure? Stopping drives? Struggling on 3rd and long? Did we keep or lose containment all day? OK we got gashed by the run today on paper, but we were up 2 scores all day, when the offense was hot, and sold out to stop the pass? All this ^^^, in the context of a game is much more relevant than chalking everything up to #3 scoring defense. Heck you're admitting that the defense did not look the same in the playoffs, as we looked on paper during regular season.... did you use stats to come up with that? Orrrrr feelings, emotions and perception? Weird to condemn the eyeball test when it goes against you, but embrace it when it goes with you.

Its really not like that. If its the 'struck in a 1/1m'th window of wring time' thing, it has nothing to do with Hamlin, and every other player in the league has the same risk. Now if they think its the 'word we cant speak of' related, then also, same risk every other player is at. Its going to come down to talent, and he certainly has shown enough to be on someone's 53. I guess the one thing that might give pause is if hes mentally playing scared. I mean the Bengals cut the "Leigh strong" player/dad. I forget how they helped him keep insurance but they found a way, same thing im sure we'd do. If the team survived that, this is no big deal for us.

i dont think this changes much, but its noteworthy Shakir had taken a considerable amount of snaps on the outside in college (as well as out of the backfield). If he's spelling in the slot, and they could find a way to get him some snaps in certain packages in the other 2 spots. I just keep seeing everyone saying hes only a slot WR

Justice in this country hasn't been about rehabilitation at any point since I was born. I resent that because she's a female, suddenly there's a different standard here. What she did ruined this man's life in a way (no matter what), and had she fully succeeded, would've COMPLETELY destroyed his life, and we never would've known any different. This "thing" (can't even call it a crime, insane) she did, is actually fairly common in our society, with no consequences. How many innocent dudes we'll never know about behind bars, and life destroyed when they get out. It really muddies the water for every sex crime. All this for money (and/or clout)? This is probably top 5 reprehensible things a single human could do in 2023. Yes, as a man specifically, this is infuriating. Should (and likely is in some circles) be equally infuriating to real victims

Really theres not many things scarier than a false accusation. Im fairly certain most of us men were taught at a very young age, the situations you avoid to protect yourself from something like that. Prior to being a teen I understood clearly things like: when youre in a room full of people and a bunch of those people leave to a different room, and its just you and a girl you dont know.......... you get up and move from that room. I certainly hope everyone here is having convos with their sons like this. We're taught to be afraid and vigilant of this from pre-teen age, because its a scary prospect, that could include incarceration, violence from a relative/boyfriend, permanent name tarnish, and no good way to prove you didnt.
