  1. He is... To work his bbq stand full time lol im calling it now, hes this years Feliciano in that he'll air out some sour grapes stuff publicly. i didnt care for his live interview/show at the bar last offseason, but chalked it up to some fair frustration. then i heard a very credible story on how he treats regular people (not even a fan, cause I know we've been rough on him at times), and cant say i buy into the silly guy schtick. im sure theres plenty of that around the league, but cant say im a fan of the guy. fully expect some more sour grapes from him within the next few weeks
  2. I thought that too, but why in the heck are WRs fine. were not talking an isolated incident either, how many starting receivers are outta the league by 27 by comparison? None lol id be curious to see a study of 40 times across a career for receivers and backs. i get theyre diff positions, but that different? weird
  3. with the quality of backs weve seen sign for $3m we can do better, or he can lower his ask absolutely insane how much backs value has deteriorated. Beanie Babies hold their value better. SERIOUS QUESTION - wtf happened to backs that their careers are basically toast by 26-27???? Look at the backs of 90s- early 2000s. They were getting infinite more carries, everyone was THE workhorse, and they plaid till 30+ at high levels. Why is this happening? Anyone have some theories they like?
  4. honestly too young to have seen him but dont doubt you. think i was the only kid in america with a cael poster on his wall lol
  5. whats wrong with ingraham and houston. imo these are the perfect signing for us i know everyones really down on Bernard, but bare minimum, i think he'd excel at this
  6. Cael would like a word with you, after PennState cleans up at D1 Chanpionships this weekend
  7. Yes, as we shouldve done the last 3 years in a row. He played for like $4m last year. Also, Justin Houston feels like the same player, and he was like $3m highly skeptical, but if theres any truth to it at all, HASSSSS to be Josh Jacobs right? Who else is even remotely possible? Dont think its Henry
  8. this is the move IF he were to happen. do not at all think he'll be in our price range, let alone "cheap" like posted above
  9. The team that wins - on paper - you're right. The teams who actually end up winning FA are the teams that add a few of the correct lowkey underrated pieces, that allows them to draft closer to the BPA/Need model. Beasley, Jon Brown, Poyer, Hyde, Daquan Jones, theeeeeeeese are the types of moves that keep the big dogs on top. Not the team that blows their load on a bunch of Louis Vitton FAs.
  10. so much for that "time bomb" of a knee that was talked about so much his draft year. dudes ancient
  11. Not necessarily a question directed at you (unless you can). This was on his scout report: — Comes downhill in a hurry to fill his gap on the front side of gap runs. Takes good angles in pursuit against stretch runs or outside zone. What does the bolded mean by "front side" of gap? I understand -fill the gap- but where is the front side?
  12. I understand the skepticism. It was obvious he'd be red shirting here, as no role for him, and absolutely needed to tack on size. That first NFL offseason with a S&C coach, nutritionists on hand, state of art facilities. The biggest jump athletes see in size/strength is that first NFL offseason. Itll never be replicated, basically newbie gains. I see traits of speed, decisiveness, explosion on blitz, all reports of a cerebral player. In games I saw a guy doing too much thinking, itll slow down for him. Hopefully dudes lifting his ass off and eating everything that isnt bolted to the floor. Not gunna lie, Im excited to see him. I def expect growing pains, but hoping they cut him loose and let him blitz some. That kinda thing is great for players confidence, and fun to turn the brain off and pin the ears back. Could def see a bunch of TFL's and pressures at the least. Obv, this is all just my opinion, feel free to drag me lol
  13. Am I the only one that wants to see more of Morris. 2nd TE doesnt mean enough on this roster to justify a splash IMO. Feels like the front office digs him too
  14. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/dawand-jones/32004a4f-4e23-2777-93b6-b85cf0fe618b Admittedly I dunno much about him other than RT and hes enormous, but his scouting report makes him sound like Dollar Tree Brown. Good faith question here, do you disagree with this scouting report?
  15. They really are on a great path, it wouldve been so smart to sign Carr, draft OL heavy, heck possibly even take a flyer on a qb. Or skip carr, put together a package and go get a guy you like in this draft. The fact theyre ready to yank the e-brake at the first shiny object they see, and venture off that path just assures the Jets will always be the Jets until they get a new owner.
  16. Super level and measured response here. Not sure if you're new to the board, but around here we have hall of famers or grocery baggers. Please make sure to be in a frenzy of irrational emotion or black out drunk before posting in the future. Thaaaaaaaaanks
  17. Either hes towing the company line and seeking an upgrade, or its very possibly a valid excuse. Back injury for a regular 300lb man trying to work in a kitchen would be brutal enough. Back injury for 300lb dude doing a bunch of fast twitch explosive/heavy movements sounds like a living nightmare. I dunno, we're not there to see, but it wouldnt shock me if dude was eating vicodin like tiktacks just to limp through the season. I wouldnt be on board with dropping big $$ on a RT in free agency, but Lael Collins on a one year seems like the type of 1 yr deal we should be looking for, or if a baller T falls in the draft you pull the trigger.
  18. dude, this is the only way i see him making that $$. how Fn dumb do you look to jets fans if you let this story blast out, let jets fans have a week long high on rodgers........ then it falls through. theyre going to be distraught, angry, coming for heads, cancelling season tix, burning gear, trying to become Giant fans after the last straw broke their back. from a PR standpoint, the only way to fix that is Lamar. Now heres some trauma p**n...... imagine Rodgers deal falls through. Riots ensue. Jets put the fire out by $250m guaranteed to Lamar. Fans rejoice, they spin it as "thank god rodgers fell through, we did even better"........ then 11:59:00pm Ravens match Bills, Fins, Pats fans collectively curl their toes. "Somethings gunna happen." Simultaneous release, Jets are once again laughing stock of the league 😆 Please baby Jesussssssss
  19. dudes taking a tour of the worst franchises? wait till his wife finds out how much gas money he has to pitch in for on away games lol
  20. i like the idea of this, but seems unlikely. anyone know how henry is with the draw? weve been pretty stubborn about putting josh under center. possible that was somewhat to cover a mediocre line. add some firepower there in the draft and maybe we see more of it noah sewell gotta be related to the LT in detroit huh?
  21. Why? Pretty logical place to upgrade? The idea of going to snag a nasty LT, and kick Dawkins inside is really growing on me
  22. you can only sign what you have to work with. expect us to go to the OL well early and often in the draft. i refuse to believe differently despite the bellyaching around here certainly smells like he was an idiot they didnt want to deal with or have in lockerroom. pure speculation from me, but what else could it possibly be. browns what 26-27?
