  1. Coming up on mcd interview in a few mins but this is a good episode. Derek Henry, Carson palmer, mcd all on today. Excited to see pat break coach away from coach speak some... hopefully
  2. wow, now that you point it out i remember hearing a few of these too
  3. Other than trading up for Edmunds, Harrison Phillips being on the bubble all year....... big stretch to say EVERY pick. Regardless of how you feel on Edmunds, no he hasnt lived up to his draft selection
  4. I have a feeling he was pretty careful to not put these guys in a negative light. I could only imagine what the actual conversations sounded like back then. Really enjoyed the overall theme of just being comfortable in his own skin, and the end response to what Mr Rooney said. Had he switched to WR I think he wouldve been a lot less content with how his career turned out.
  5. For context, do we know when this was put up? Is it analysis on his 2nd year or is there some from this year also?
  6. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/kordell-stewart-nfl-football-pittsburgh-steelers Please feel free to move where more approriate, but its a good article and not sure the best place to put it. Players Tribune has always been a favorite of mine. I wouldve been about 10 when Kordell hit the scene, but I remember all this pretty clearly. Had a pretty cool ending. The guy contributed to paving the way for the new styles we've seen.
  7. Yeah to an extent but it's projecting at 185, which is super helpful... plus we're not the only team in the predicament. Some players we couldn't normally get might be floating around, and I like our front office more than most teams... could work in our favor! If an opportunity presents itself does anyone believe Beane won't capitalize on it? Anyone? I think we find a new toy
  8. lol easy to say after the loss.... had that happened in game while were ahead, or had alot of time left, idk. fail and get crucified. i dont hate it, but dont love it either
  9. i mean mcafee would be pretty well connected. i think him mocking this was a fun way to squash the rumor. hard to turn "not news" into news. also pat is hilarious, well connected and has a great show
  10. Thanks for the contribution! Care to elaborate
  11. Also, i feel this has proli been covered, but your avatar reminds me of a no-no hole plug 😬 sry, please carry on lol
  12. Sounds like a real locker room cancer to me 🙄 i honestly dont even know where that narrative started?! because the nfl made him one of the poster boys for so long? because of his charitable work? because hes white (GASP)? the guy was probably over exposed by the league, and i get that being annoying but i dont think its his fault. he didnt go to the media more than anyone else, its not his fault a sound bite from every press conference made it on pre game shows, and sportscenter. blame the press, but locker room cancer? thats LAZY!
  13. Not to mention our biggest advocate is current team members. This coaching staff is beloved by the players. This isnt your fathers Bills and the success of Diggs didnt go unnoticed in league circles. I absolutely believe we are a team that players w/o a ring would find enticing.
  14. I met Tim Green in high school under the MOST BIZZARE SITUATION of all time lol!!!! really cool guy, and i was completely star struck. His son bit me in a wrestling match, and Tim was the teams coach. SUs all time sack leader, unless Freeney yanked that record from him
  15. Some type of spirituality, volunteering in a project that interests you, and family seems like the ticket for a lot of folks. Something to give them a strong sense of purpose back. Likely why so many wind up coaching HS ranks or lower, a little bit of all that wrapped into one. Hope your bro finds what hes looking for!
  16. Man so spot on. Sports can give you that fire to push yourself past what others can do and what you thought you could ever do, but this is the flip side to it. I could see how this effect would be extra potent to a retired millionaire in his mid 30s. Trying to find something that hits as hard as your career did has got to be a part of the solution, easier said than done.
  17. Enjoyed reading that post. I know it took me a few years to find my footing after h.s. school sports ended. It was my personal identity, and I didn't know what to channel that new free time into. I cant imagine how exponentially harder that would've been had I added college or made it to the pros before having that yanked from under me. Seems like the nfl makes a decent effort to help these guys prepare for it, but in that warrior mindset, they don't believe its ever going to happen to THEM.
  18. You think a permanently injured brain (from football) wouldn't make it hard to adjust back? Nobody is saying you need to donate money, it doesn't cost anything to try and put yourself in their shoes. It's a different set of problems than us with 9-5s, doesn't make it less valid
  19. You can't bump my bump, good sir! Lol
  20. There's not a team I see Josh going 4-12 on. Maybe this analogy worked for Josh coming out of the draft, but no, not after 3 years of seeing Josh.
  21. "Assistant to the assistant regional manager" comes to mind 😆
  22. I thought id be dodging this place like the plague but its been pretty reasonable around here for being within a week of the end.... well other than this being in a theoretical trade Josh thread 😆
  23. AND THERE IT IS 😆 you didnt get here till page 3... time for a tune up on that spidey sense?
  24. and even then barring the wheels completely falling off, what would anyone do with 5 picks 25-32 lol i realize youre just playing the game here, and I am too... but to me, i just dont even see that moving the needle for me, AND THAT FEELS HELLA GOOD!!!!
