Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams
BillsShredder83 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd rather jam a broken flower stem down my urethra, or undergo a brain transplant from Antonio Brown. -
The "you sure" thing REALLY pissed me off at the time. Straw broke camels back after passing up several silver platter opportunities to support josh in interviews, the way josh had constantly been doing. I can only imagine beane and the locker rooms reaction seeing/hearing that.

I think winning and a fresh start will do enough to keep him behaved here during the short remainder of his career. Everyone shouting DIGGS! DIGGS! forgets he was a literal angel here 2 years minimum; happy to have a top qb and win some games. Dudes 32. It's not like we're marrying the dude fresh outta HS. Can proli play at high level 2 more years, figure it out then. Willing to pay proper compensation via picks, if they're fully committed to starting rebuild and eating cap dollars they don't need anyways. 🤷♂️ If you have a coach staff/locker room culture that can't hold up a top talent with a poor attitude for 2 years, you don't have a culture anyways. These malcontents reset their tantrum clock each time they change teams. See Diggs in 2020. See Diggs in 2024. See T.O. in Dallas post SF. I'm sure there's a million I'm not bothering to remember -
Poyer wasn't? I didn't see anything to reflect that being true?

Week 3, Jagoffs v. Bills, GAME BALLS!

Can't forget the boards draft bargain pick Javon Soloman punching out the rock, and showing Mac what a real Alabama football player looks like -

Won $250 on 3 leg: Ray Davis TD, Josh over 235yds, Bills -6.6 Took $100 on Bills SB @ 8:1 And sprinkled $50 Dodgers WS Win/Bills SB @ 40:1 Worst case I'm totally cool with selling that 2nd one off in a month if Dodgers can do what seems obvious, at a nice Lil profit. Beyond stoked at how many ways were dangerous -
Bryce Young already benched in Carolina
BillsShredder83 replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
What could you get, 5th? I think his value is so trashed, that there's no value in dealing him. Worst case you got a guy to ride pine and have 5 years in the offense instead of playing backup carousel. In the mean time, work on the kid, but it's def looking Zack Wilson ish. I haven't paid attention much, are those 4th/5th years unmanageable cap wise for a guy that went #1? Or is he cheap backup money and by year 4 or 5 gets to top end backup $$ (tyrod or minschew type $$) -

Dont forget with that trade carolina paid out a #1 overall lol They coulda had Stroud and a top Tackle. An ace WR. Kept DJ Moore and a 2nd rounder lol Absolutely debilitating to this team. My friends and family are panthers fans. Their excitement today reminds me of Trent edwards or Fitzpatrick energy they gave us first month of a season. I tried warning them guard your feelings lol They're convinced Andy Dalton is gunna be last years Joe Flacco Browns season 🤣🤣🤣 It felt like being 35 at the bar laughing at how immature the 20year Olds are, while forgetting that was me not all that long ago lol I'm gunna let them have fun with it, but you'll find no comforting words from me when Andy freaking Dalton breaks their hearts lol -
Bojo had "the greatest punt you'll watch this season"

I know nobody listened, but those who did caught something about an onsides punt?! I have no clue if that's real but it seemed it -

WHOA, wait. At the end "try an onside punt" wtf is that? Wouldn't a team just fair catch it??? -
McDaniel as a young coach has more at stake too. Young, first head coach job. Get fired for essentially insubordination, and I don't know he has the track record to get another HC job anytime soon. His chance to fix that is in progress and jury is still out, if he can keep the ship upright a few years successfully, he'll have job security as a hireable coach... even if it's not Miami. If doctors are telling him Tua needs a month and then clear him, he'd be sabotaging his own career, and Tua's at same time. Who is he to tell Tua and a doctor they're wrong, all to flush his career. Tough decision for sure. I wouldn't lose respect if he let Tua play. And if he believes in his heart he's putting Tua in serious jeopardy and makes a stand. I'd respect the hell outta that... but he's a captain going down with the ship if it's that

NFL couldn't attempt to force him out unless they had an absolute bulletproof, indisputable, medical report. There would be pitchforks and fires from Nflpa. Including from me. Up thread someone mentioned "we should petition to have NFL force him to retire". Obv that's not gunna work, but the mere idea of that is so far beyond shameful. "How do we know he's competent enought to make a decision". 🤣🤣🤣 We can send our kids off in the name of oil and poppy plants, where they'll certainly return life alteringly mentally damaged and possibly physically.... for $35k/year. Or have our kids drafted, and that's the trajectory. But yes, we as a civilization need to run interference on anothers life, because he's not smart enough to know what he's getting himself into, even though he's college educated, and playing the most cerebral position in sports. Maybe he's fully aware and *if medically cleared* nobody but him gets to make a decision if he should play or not. If it's his dream he gets to decide for himself if the risk is too much. Shameful anyone could even entertain that... and that's from me, who hopes he hangs it up

The actual reality here, you're right. Only 32 HCs, piss an owner off, he might tag you at end of season (see Wade Phillips). They'll find someone who would've tried to put Hamlin back in 2022. That's 100% the reality. I have no doubt being young, 1st time HC, he was feeling that pressure. Maybe not get another shot. Factor in the pressure of Tua saying clear me. Doctors clearing him. Voiced or unvoiced pressure from all players when yall look like a good team. Potentially losing your job for insubordination when: Tua himself, doctors, league, and ownership are saying I'm good to go. A part of him proli felt like it'd be OK after all that. Like, technically I proli shouldn't do this, but feels like not wearing a seat belt JUST ONCE. "It'll be fine". Part of me thinks an older established coach, with certainty in another HC job, would be the only one with the resolve to say NO.

The way I've heard it explained, tracks with evidence we've seen on being prone to concussions. Basically their are spiderweb type fibers that hold your brain together - like a compression sock, and (I believe don't quote me on this specific point-->) attach from brain to skull. Each impact shakes your brain a little, whether majorly or minor. Think of it like a fraying rope. They alllll add up, and severe one's do the most damage. Allowing your brain to shift more easily than the last, more wiggle to allow your brain to smack sides, front and back of skull. Most players who have multiple concussions show this play out. Always being prone to get them again more easily. It explains why fighters "lose their chin" in boxing after brutal KOs. Countless boxers. Lafontaine. Lindros. Harvin. Etc etc. It can't repair broken fibers. Frayed one's maybe, with a lot of time. Like a scab will. Put if you constantly pick at a scab it'll never heal or heal poorly. He's 26 i wish he'd retire. Likeable, handsome, Uber successful. Go fill up a house with kids somewhere tropical. Bare minimum he should take a full year off. You just can't escape the micro tears/impacts. But he won't unfortunately.

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
BillsShredder83 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
No way am i ready to hand that title over. People forgot how nasty he was 2020, but solid 3 years for us. ~100 catches ~1k yards. He WAS our run game. The human first down. I think Shakir has potential to be better, but it's gunna take a ton to get there. Consistent high output, every game. I'd love to see it happen. Prime Cole was so fun, dude would have people pulling their hair out after every 3rd & 7. Kept defense fresh too -

Honestly I wouldn't be willing to bet my season on him regardless. Hope he has a short leash, week 8-10, be ready to pull the plug Dont think of it as 5m dead cap for a kicker, think of it as addition by subtraction for 5m. -
How the heck do you pull off an in season kicker trade? If we plan to dominate trenches, run hard, stop the run, pressure the passer. I think having a good K, or even just a trustworthy K becomes that much more important. We can bully, rule time of possession, and not rely on Josh's solo magic to win. But youre shortening the game, and you can less afford to drive deep and walk out with 0 points. Side rant: how the heck can there be so many good college kickers, and none of them translate to NFL games? There's 134 D1 teams and most classes dont put out a roster-able kicker? If its the rush thing, move the guy an extra yard back and sacrifice the extra 1 yd of range. I cant understand it

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
BillsShredder83 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
One HUGE thing you forgot (no shade)...... A working screen game?!?!? Even more elusive of a creature for this Bills team in my life has been complete utter inability to ever run a bubble screen. I feel like Ive never seen it run in my 36years of fandom. 1st throw was a nice lil quick out to Kincaid if im remembering right. I liked that, get him going early..... then BAM!!! Second play was beautifully executed, timed perfect, set ups to the blocks perfect. Kincaid is going to EATTTTTTTT on that if we can make that a regular thing. Second half I was kinda zoned out, Cook ran routes outta backfield, and the contrast between all these short game plays, all fed into each other! More of that please! I do think were gunna end up hitting some deep balls this year with the way our OL has run game going, and all this deadly short quick stuff. Frothing at the possibilities!!! ----Lastly--- what are the odds we can find a kicker on a bad team worth trading for? On one hand, hard to abandon your K mid year lol and on the other hand, if were willing to pay above market value (not break bank). Is a kicker going to put us over the top? NO. Obviously not.... can a kicker derail the ever living shizzzzz outta a magical run? Thats not even a real question. Its reasonable to dangle some attractive bait. For the right dude im coughing up up to a 4th, in exchange for K and a late pick. Seems unlikely but hope we explore it. I was a big fan of Bass-to-Mouth, and stood up longer for him last year than most, but Im done. Make a move -
We cant be a serious team with him in lineup, and im not kidding. i get it, i get it, kickers are kitties, nobody likes them, but youre not getting to a SB with a kicker like him, let alone winning it. hes already a mess. imagine we pound someone in WC, he misses from 39, and now his psyche is going to recover? Imagine tight game in a SB and youre at a 35yard kick..... you have to kick, its late, youre down 1, but you also know you cant kick lol no thanks. my hair turned grey typing that

Will Miami start taking calls on Hill?
BillsShredder83 replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he was there prior to last nights game, and the only person who HONESTLY cant see it is him. Dude has made $74m, won heisman & nat'l championship, and had a solid nfl career. If I 1,000% remove my Bills fandom here, I pray to God he retires. Likeable, handsome, literally just turned 26. Buy a big arse house on an island, and fill that mofo up with kids!!!! All I can think is Jr Seau, Jovan Belcher, or Jim Mcmahon and dementia at 53!!! Its probably my inner dad taking over here, but please hang em up kid
