  1. PED testing isn't in place to catch every single player. It's in place to give the appearance of a clean game. With testing in place everyone can walk around naive thinking dudes that look like Watt are natural (😆😆😆). Same with gambling in sports, except even more important. A dozen+ dudes get popped for peds every year, and people assume they're bad eggs (when its by far the majority). It'd take only a few players caught gambling to destroy the appearance of integrity in the games. A few dudes get caught and the advertising costs for sportsbooks would plummet, or leave all together. A casino can't be caught in bed with a league that isn't putting out a fair game, being associated with it puts their credibility completely at risk with the public. So yes a $1500 parlay could easily contribute to a 10 digit figure loss of revenue, just on gambling side. Add in potential ticket sales losses. Everytime network deals renew the nfl is pushing for absolute maximum dollar increases, hard to justify doing that if people think it's WWE and hsve evidence. Huge snowball effect on every last dollar generated.
  2. This really isn't the way the qb market works. This one kind of reminds me of Dak a few years ago, similar tier, didn't deserve to be 1st or 2nd highest paid, but what else they gunna do. GM suicide if they don't have the new guy on the roster. Suicide for an owner, cause the fans will shred you. Coach basically took the job to draft Murray. Players will be pissed their team isn't trying to win. I wouldn't be thrilled to pay him if I was an AZ fan but classic 2bush, 2hand deal. Pre Josh we would've crucified an owner for letting a guy like this walk
  3. When it comes to $$, and the single most important thing for Goodell and owners, player gambling is a worse stain. We're talking billions of dollars in money for the foreseeable future. Watson will be gone in 15years tops, gambling will provide revenue till we all die. Also, you don't think Ridleys suspension was an effort to change player behavior. Dude got a death sentence for shoplifting, they're absolutely trying to nip this before it starts
  4. Apples and oranges. Ridley deserves a year! Especially for being a dumb***, and BECAUSE they're partnered with gambling. A $1500 bet could undo a multi million sponsor, and under mine integrity of game, slippery slope. Watson also deserves atleast a year or more. But comparing them is weak.
  5. Oh not necessary. Doesn't help that he's tore us up, but he's the biggest scumbag in the league currently. Can't believe anyone would listen to it, and surprised poyer went on it. How could anyone with a child hsve anything to do with him, even just a football podcast
  6. Hill has a podcast? 🤮. Poyer was on it? 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
  7. Winning is too strong of a verb. More like who doesn't not lose the division lol
  8. Yep and that's how Seattle did it for noise and sight lines
  9. I read all of it and it all came off as a loving big brother trying to help a homie develop the tools needed to succeed. You can't be a timid OL. Can't believe Martin ever got drafted that high. You'd think that his softness would've stuck out in pre-draft process
  10. It's a little easier to get to the Rock bottom needed, when the checks keep rolling in. Not trolling, not joking, the best thing aside from a miraculous prayer healing, is the money to get ate up as fast as humanly possible, and hope the money runs out before he dies. Hell I was living check to check and i still almost died first. 4 or 5 nfl contracts in my bank and think my chances of recovery were next to zero. Cunning, baffling, powerful.
  11. I like him, knowing what we all saw late in the season we have some expectations and hope. What I'm thinking about thst makes me laugh, is could you imagine reading this from any other fan bases perspective lol this thread title is not going to curb any of the '***** dumbasses' jokes tossed our way lol
  12. I think if he managed to get clean and sober about 75% of the issues would immediately fall off. Too bad for most of us, you can't 'just quit' the way I decide to stop fn with KitKats
  13. I totally your perspective, and respectfully disagree. Give a fiend a taste of something and they're gunna want more. South is weird, rabid college fantasy, but less interest in nfl, and I think it's a lack of an identity. I've watched a few Braves games, but if they played a few games a year near me, and I went, I think I'd end up rabid. I could totally be over estimating things too just because I'm susceptible af to Fandom lol 🤷‍♂️
  14. Perfect example. I've always been pretty casual with nba living in buff. Some people like Toronto, some Knicks fans, some cav fans or whoever. Buy there's no like majority obvious team. Same with MLB. Once I moved to Charlotte and caught a few games outta curiosity, I had someone to identify with finally. Same thing there, doesn't matter who, just pick one of the closer teams and be semi consistent with it 🤷‍♂️
  15. Titles wrong... you mean Sammy Watkins and Isiah Hodgins are training with Gabe Davis
  16. It's not that they won't watch, they just don't have a natural rooting interest. Alabama is surrounded by Texas, Florida, Louisiana without having a team they can exactly identify with. If NFL picked a team and gave them games there a few years in a row it might give them a natural interest, and take an untapped (rabid football state) market, and give them a nudge towards someone
  17. I think he probably picked the most interesting ideas at some point over best ideas
  18. My God you are and always have been a Summer Breeze French shower. Maybe if you held yourself to the standards you're expecting on a message board, you would be a relevant Bills reporter.... but you're not. The staff doesn't like you. The players dislike you, and you sound like you took a speaking class from Doug Whaley. I put freaking stars and a disclaimer before, as a do with the information what you'd like. You didn't like it, so disregard. Pretty easy
  19. 👍 you guys are brutal. I acknowledged the information was speculative, but had some wheels. It's a message board, not the NY Times. I hope it's false, yall enjoy ripping me a new ***
  20. I never claimed it as fact. Actually went out of my way to share full context and say I have no way of verifying, but there's a lot of relevant info there. I don't think it means anything if she plays IMO. I think Kim would want her to play, and she would try to push through, but obv hoping this isn't true
  21. Not to mention try to reclaim huge draft capital to break even. Even if he turns into a top 3 qb in the league, and somehow wanted to trade him. They'd have a tough time recouping what they paid in picks for him
  22. Having your 18yr old daughter near Watson is about as safe. As an 18yr old new driver, having a Ferrari 😆
  23. The "asset" won't be worth much if he goes another year or two+ without playing
  24. Agreed. I also think if you're negotiating in good faith, you should be at OTAs for posturing. Looks bad to be absent with contract hanging out there
