It's funny because I can relate to that same sequence of emotions towards Brady and Beli. Hated them my whole life, but as both of their careers are coming to a close, I've made it a point to try and respect them for the football legends they are. Easier to digest after the 20yr stranglehold they've had on us has dissipated the last 2 years.

I think regardless of what his real weight is, he puts on another solid 15-20. He has the frame to handle it by farrrrrrrrr. With strength coordinator, state of the art facility, access to the best food on the planet, dietician, there really isnt a rookie, at any position, that shouldnt put on some weight after their first season.... exception being they came in fat, diff story there.

TE-my homerun pickup here is Gesecki. Man he'd look sweet in Buffalo, and open up a dual TE set. WR- this teams always gunna need talent at that position, and we're a bit long in the tooth. IDL- buh bye Star. Harry's come on recent, but I'm not ignoring the position over him either. Jordan Davis would look awesome here. Imagine what Big Ed would look like with a horse like him next to him. Absolutely salivating at the thought.

Cover 2 dude had some nice video showing the ability to do this with Bates in the lineup. Hopefully that is a new wrinkle we have to combat this.

Edmunds is huge to this defense. It took me understanding his role. The run game shot is annoying. But him being a giant fn human obstacle in passing lanes is a MUST in mcds unit. He's basically the biggest zone db smack dab in the middle. Champ Baileys stat line used to loom like he didn't play... same thing here. His shortcoming are glaring, but the things that DON'T happen because of him are harder to see.

Surprised to see everyone clamoring for Patterson when James Conner is FA next year. He might not enjoy the split carries he has down there. Think he'd be a great fit down here, younger, 1000% process guy, and have a chance to take more than the 50% of snaps he sees now.

I doubt many people would argue the game hasn't become much more cerebral since the 80s as well. A guy scoring 15 back then would have an easier time reading more vanilla ish defenses and remembering a more simple playbook.
