  1. Who else you gunna have finish out the season. Obviously I meant interim. We probably have one chance the rest of Josh career to get this hire right. Nobody is entrusting that to Joe Brady without a SB appearance after he gets moved up. Hell, even then im not handing him the job. As of right now im probably turning over most of my searches from NCAA pool. Go big or go home. No retread and NO defense first HC. Give me continuity on offense as priority. I dont care if we win 49 - 21, this is unacceptable, and i hope we dont lose track of that feeling
  2. Ive defended it enough. I am 100% fine with promoting Joe Brady, and giving Beane the rest of the season to see how teams responds. The injuries absolutely brutal, but I don't care. What does McD bring to this team? 35yard chunk yard plays continually.
  3. Since hes slacking and everything, any chance hed want an easy job like DC lol what if NFL teams refuse to hire him because hes only got a few years overall left... then again Pete Carroll got hired
  4. I think it buys him time to get to end of season. If i were them, theres not much he could do to save the job. Get the kid a real coach. Plus they need to ditch Schoen.... why let a dead man walking help do all your offseason coaching, only to get fired by week 4 next year? They havent seen enough??!?
  5. Thats one way to make up for putting Vrabel in our division!
  6. 'Jaqen H'ghar'. I was expecting to find the face of someone looking like a 5star prospect in the secondary out of Miami-Dade county.... not the face of a man at the Ren-Faire not allowed near schools
  7. I saw he was questionable with neck, ribs and something else... shoulder? Im more irritated about that than I even am about Poyer. I believe I saw Settle was leading league in pressures, or something similar
  8. The idea that our offense is going to play like it is right now, and magically still score against the Spags/Fangios of the league in the playoffs feels so flawed to me. Im a Beane enjoyer, I think his drafts have been very good.... that half measures to address WR position since 2020 (jon brown/ cole, diggs) has been frustrating all along. Ive never waivered on Beane, but am ready for a change from McD. Those things feel in conflict, hard to picture Beane being able to stay if Coach got fired, so ive been hesitant. If we cant atleast make the SB, Im wanting us to make a change... would prefer Beane stay, but if theyre a package deal, then ill take my chances with a new HC and GM. I hope they both recognize it too. Are they going to be glad they saved draft picks for the new GM if they lose their job? I dont trust the defense to get it done. I think we're 2-3 first downs away from icing the Chiefs in our last 2 elimination games. Asking the offense to grab a few extra first down to ice the game feels a helluva lot more obtainable than asking the defense to get 2 more stops.
  9. I know youre more plugged in than 99% here. Any idea if the bolded is widely thought around NFL FO's as of late? Obv entire offices arent going to be aligned on everything, but any sense if this logic is picking up steam? From the outside it appears that way. Certainly not expecting an NHL type deadline, but hoping it keeps trending upwards this year. Seems like weve seen a decent amount of moves this early into season already
  10. Cooper was likely already deciding retirement was near. Add an injury and feeling his body no longer cooperate likely cemented it. It was a calculated risk that didnt work out, im ok with it. My preference this year is young and established stud. My exception is for a late round trade for D-Hop as a hes plug n play, hungry, and wants a ring. But hes down the list for me. Just no half measures. I dont care if we have to overpay relative to market. Were a fairly polished team and a stud WR is worth more to us than most other teams. Im fine paying the premium. Josh's career wont last forever. KC & Balt arent serious, and our AFC competition right now is *checks notes* Indianapolis lol Also the Eagles are far from the team they were last year. They could heat up, but that defense isnt returning to last years form. SB has never been so attainable IMO
  11. It shouldnt lol id say thanks for the lucky guess, and get the kid a real coach
  12. Its kinda easy, you warn him, once hes done it a second time you upgrade it to unsportsmanlike... next one after that you toss him. Theyve got enough game footage to do it. Its one thing when its an accident, but when it becomes a players plan and gets this far outta hand... its g2 gooooo
  13. At the least, its public pressure to ban it. Full disclosure, I love the play, I know many dont! My gripe is being allowed to false start and line up Offside. Its just too damn much at this point. Sounds like refs cant ref it, so the only thing left is to ban it. We learn to run it the exact same way, to negate their advantage.... go to a gimmicky route like OL become LBers, or whatever..... continue to overload the publics servers by making it even more ridiculous LOL
  14. Agree with your post. However, with the newer kickoff rules and the league still trying to figure these out, its not as clear cut as it was a few years ago IMO. 15secs isnt a lot of time either way, and the offense doesnt have much speed anyways... I'm actually in same boat as you, especially needing 3 points, but i think its less egregious of a decision than it used to be. Better of trying to sneak a 20yd play off on 1st down.... then throw the hail mary, hope for a miracle or a pass interference with a chance to kick even with clock at 0:00
  15. This is a Gabe stat, disregard. Also, most of these ppl asking for downfield stuff arent asking for 4 Verticals. We want regular plays like 2021 with Jon Brown back in the mix.<--- thats bolded because its important, in the mix. Remember how we functioned on that wild intermediate throws only offense, griping we had no YAC.... and we had no YAC bc there were a ton of routes kinda designed to put WR's 20 yds down field, at the sideline making the grab.... spread the field out, but also, if a throw got tipped or dropped, it was more likely to end up safe out of bounds. Intermediate: we had multiple versions and depths of Corners/Comebacks That was a beautiful offense, but we relied on it too heavily. Diff coordinators obv, but feels like we've over corrected in the opposite direction. Maybe you schedule a drive one in every 4... or an opening drive of a quarter, where we go up-tempo with some intermediate. Maybe a half drive like this... have fun get creative, mix it up. Josh's arm is built so beautifully for these. Ppl think the deep ball is what his arms for. IDGAF about 60 yard bombs really, too inconsistent to rely on. But the intermediate mixed in, thats why you want a QB with a howitzer!!! ^^Truth is we dont have the WR's to do this at will. Thats sad. Bringing in a true #1, would make every other WR on the team so much better too 😕
  16. I think its a schtick. A satire of his real personality, and a need to be liked especially when facing the media. Not HC material, but thats OK. Id freaking love to get him on staff somehow. Hes had just about the worlds hardest job the last few years, with a collection of the worst kids at school in his classroom. Id bet coming here with good structure in place, a chip on his back to show he belongs and the ability to just get back to X's and O's. We've seen some of the better coordinators cement themselves as great at their jobs after a demotion on the league. They are the guys that made them good enough coordinators to get hired, with new skills and revamped ability to handle stress/workload. I think he hates HC and loved being a coordinator, and hes proved to himself hes not HC material. That means an offensive minded guy on staff, you dont have to start thinking about losing after 4 games under Josh Allen. Sign me all the way the **** up!
  17. I'd say you might be able to get an interim guy to cooperate on making sure you don't screw up your draft positioning! ... but honestly those dudes almost always end up fired too. trying to remember the last guy promoted to interim, who got the reigns the next year??? any of these guys active today get their HC job that way? I know coordinators do a decent amount, IF, HC is staying on
  18. If this happened, Id magically find myself rooting for a full Tyreek comeback LOL we need all the tannerite in the boat we can get if we want to see the best show. Sign Antonio Brown too!! Lesssssgooooo
  19. We need to get Hairston a few kits of GH and a fridge full of BPC-157 lol kidding... sort of. I fixed my old arse rickety knees with bpc157 in like 6 weeks. NFL claims to have a good program for HGH testing, but it we never see anyone pop for it... so its intentionally a poor program LOL I am surprised to see bpc157 as a banned substance, but seemed almost impossible to pop for with its half life. Pretty whack some of the things that are out there that can make an enormous difference for these guys healing times, not even talking any performance enhancement... strictly injury recovery. 0 side effects. Yet these guys can gobble opiates to play through general discomfort... and BYOTTW, bring your own toradol to work Think it'd be illegal for Hairston to swap them knees out with me for my freshly minted ones? LOL
  20. The culture better be able to absorb one rough around the edges guy. Addison isnt to the same level as Diggs from what we've seen. More bone headed than volatile, could absolutely see a strong locker room helping to get the best outta him. Hell, 3-4 years is a decent run and we got that from Diggs... thats gotta be about league average anyways. If you take emotion out of it, and look at full body of work, Diggs deal was amazing. Investment was 1st and 3rd. ..... We got 2 all-pro seasons, 1 pro bowl, 1 schizo ....... then flipped him for a 2nd rder. We got all that production at the depreciation cost of moving down 1 round, and giving up a 3rd. Thats like buying used car, driving it 200k miles, and being able to sell it for $10k LOL lotta bang for the buck.... and a Diggs is pretty much the worst case scenario I can live with that if it means adding an elite pass rusher! Just not many out there. I'd f'n barf at a big swing at CB/S. Its just not impact enough for the 2025 season. Especially when you need an 8yr engineering doctorate to play in this defense..... Address those in offseason
  21. As far as an allin and getting a big piece, I have no interest in anyone except for Hendrickson (barring a similar candidate shaking loose) on the defensive side of ball. defense is what it is, and i dont trust a single player upgrade to have any effect. its a flawed secondary, if we fix a link in the chain, their are other links unable to support their weight. adding more legit pass rush would serve a greater effect than anything else IMO. from there we can hope the other young players grow the rest of the season. All-In Move Rank: 1. Hendrickson 2a. Jordan Addison (could easily be 1a) 2b. DJ Moore 3a. Olave 3b. Shaheed 4. Deandre Hopkins - I know hes not what he once was, but the positive he'd have over Shaheed IMO, is veteran experience, plug n play. Not going to press him at the line during playoff football. Hes a dog, and wants a ring, and who doesnt want to play with Josh. For this season alone in a vacuum, I think I actually prefer Hopkins by a smidge. But a chance to preview Shaheed in person, and possibly get a first crack at signing in offseason squeaks him ahead.
  22. Im all about Addison, but one of these need to be the move. Figure out the fit and make an offer they cant say no to. Addison team controlled for 2 years after this year, $2.5M cap hit if acquired this week. Full route tree, plays like Diggs. Hes proli ready to be a #1 and not play second fiddle, and get a real QB. Theres a little diva kicking around but nowhere near the amount thats untenable. Addison can pair up with Josh the rest of his career pretty much, im absolutely fine paying him whatever he wants when its time. Kid has been a stud at Pitt, USC and Minny. Let the guy help us get a ring!! Minny might not be ready now, but theyve already kicked it around last year, they cant pay him, and a few more weeks closer to deadline with Wentz and theyll be ready to move some pieces. We should all be rooting against Minnesota every week!!!
  23. Did you (or anyone else here) notice if hes taken any snaps out of the slot at all? Would love to see some sets where Keon moves in slot.... he can spell Shakir here and there, or line up with 4 WR, both Shakir & Keon in the slot. This feels like it could be especially lethal if we can swing a trade for a real outside WR. Keon feels like a few guys we've had in here recently. Brutal and hated as a #1/#2, very nice surprise and better contributing as a #4. Dude needs to be easier to get the ball to, vs a teams lower tiered CB, but getting the ball in space, already on the move where he can crank up to his top-end speed and physicality after the run. Its so easy right now to remember him as being slow... but its really an acceleration/suddenness problem. While it takes him a while to get there, he looks fast af once hes had time to get to speed. It really frustrates me to not be able to play into that strength of his. Maybe a thunder/lightning duo in the slot could be really fun. I dunno. *Sigh*
  24. In quotes below that: Jordan Addison (2023) 36 games 142 rec 1,941 yards 20 TDs This is the wet dream here folks 💦 THE guy to lock up and play the back 9 of Josh's career with him
  25. Its actually even less than that when you consider its TWO cars moving towards each other. Average reaction time is about 1.5 secs for a driver to START a reactive action. Dude quad passed in no passing zone, in a Dodge Charger, small 2 lane road with no shoulders... An oncoming driver is not at fault for a reactive action to a car doing TWICE the speed, head on. Its a small 2 lane road too, no shoulders on either side
