  1. Yep. That's definitely what you are.
  2. I guess I have to chart this one out. KC will obviously be in the playoffs, and barring a big injury or two, will be the favorites. Cincy may miss the playoffs, and their chances will get a lot worse if they lose today. Bills are 2-0. Upshot: NFL/refs are trying to contrive a Mahomes-Allen rematch in the playoffs.
  3. Yes. Definitely. That's a team that's turning the corner.
  4. Is that how Trump grabbed Laura? Like an old-fashioned 6-pack?
  5. And what a magnificent hold it was.
  6. T Swift chewing on Butker. Yes, we can all get along.
  7. Abysmal Broncos-Steelers game has ended. Cut away in Colorado to Bengals-Chiefs, just in time for the Chiefs to win it. I guess I should count myself lucky that I didn't invest 3 hours in this. Back in 3 seconds ... OK I'm back. Road to the Super Bowl is thru KC. Again.
  8. This is our post-truth society. For all they harp on about lefties ("commies") talking about how even if things aren't actually true they nevertheless attest to a larger abstract "truth," (see Jussie Smollett), they now do exactly the same thing. Trumpies: Haitians are stealing and eating cats and dogs! Objective sources (City Manager, Springfield Police, then Mayor): We have no credible reports of any such thing ever happening. Trumpies: But come on, you know Biden let in a hundred thousand illegal Haitians, and we know some are criminals, so even if not "true" it nevertheless should register as A Truth. Stupidity. I remember the day I first saw this kind of "reasoning." It was a Jon Stossel piece back in the 90s. Snapple Iced Tea was under fire from black groups who said it had origins in the slave trade. Those people said "look, they have a slave ship on their label." Snapple responded: No, that photo is from the Getty Archives. It's entitled "Boston Tea Party." Random black lady on the street responds: "they can say that, but TO ME it's still a slave ship." "To me." We heard it this week. The City Manager may offer a clear denial, but "to me" it's still likely true that THEY'RE EATING THE PETS."
  9. Our resident White Nationalist right on brand.
  10. There you go. The graphic is of a vortex, but it's simply the horseshoe theory. The extremes are merging. Not a good thing. See Kennedy, Robert F., Jr. Or he's like some of our esteemed anti-establishment (mostly former) posters here. Ron/Rand Paul lover, turned Bernie Bro, turned Trumpaholic.
  11. OK, I looked (and only because the late game the NFL is force-feeding me is awful). There's not much there there. - "We won't ask you about Tony West (Kamala's brother in law, former top DOJ official)." Even if they did demand this, it's a big "so what." - "We won't ask you about Biden's health." Well, it depends. Didn't they ask something like this anyway? I'll have to check the transcript. - There's a pro-Kamala/anti-Trump bias within ABC. Shocking. There is within CNN too, but they moderated the debate that killed Biden's campaign. - They didn't ask follow-ups of Kamala. Well, sure, they could've debated in the manner of our commenters here ("he didn't mean the Nazis when he said there's many fine people") but we see that that gets us nowhere. There were matters of opinion/definition, not flat-out lies untruths (umm, lies) like the whoppers Trump was telling. Hey, he agreed to the rules, which apparently allowed fact checking of, you know, FACTS, not of opinions. Nobody but Trump is to blame for making his debate all about THEY'RE KILLING THE DOGS. THEY'RE KILLING THE CATS. I SAW IT ON THE TV." That's on you, buddy. No magic earrings. No provided the questions in advance. Just "I wish you were more like Fox." So disgruntled ABC employee, please post your resume on Indeed and maybe Fox will come calling.
  12. One thing I appreciated about Bush 43 (a fine and stupid man): after 9/11, he never again played golf during his presidency.
  13. True. And think about the impacts that have caused the concussions. Mitch Morse probably had several (too many, to be honest) caused by the slow-speed collisions of very large men who play on the line. Sadly we've seen this have big impacts later in life on guys like Mike Webster, but they're not the kind of obvious head trauma we're talking about here. Tua had the type where the head rapidly - immediately - decelerates when hitting the ground or Hamlin's body. The kind that don't just cause some temporary grogginess that the player fights through in an ill-advised attempt to stay in the game, but the kind that clearly knock him cold.
  14. This is what I mean about her becoming a better politician. Don't answer the question. Answer your own question. No, it's not a good thing for American governance, but it is the way the game is played today. And she's finally getting it.
  15. “Speaking for them.” Haha, in defending them you implicate them. Maybe you can find a Peruvian in Cleveland who are a guinea pig. Close enough.
  16. Loomer is threatening to sue Bill Maher for suggesting she’s having an affair with Trump. Streisand Rule applies…
  17. You know how some fool will call a wager a “stone cold lock?” 99.9 percent chance of winning? Run away from that fool. No such thing in the NFL or in today’s presidential elections.
  18. Debunked or Debanked? Unpresidented!
  19. No different than Trump's own sources - "I saw it on the TV." Or for Tarheel, "I saw it on the internets." Oh, well, sorry to have disparaged an entire community of white trash when it was just ONE speaking for them.
  20. Or him FOR Worthy. If I were KC, I'd do it and find a way to move some salary.
  21. Fitzy really got it perfect in the post game. He didn't urge any particular outcome. He just said he knows Tua as a fine man with a growing family, and that obviously the decision on whether or not to come back (if cleared) will take into account his continued life outside of football.
  22. No, but I believe an independent neurologist could opine that he cannot be cleared to play, and that there's no real expiration date on that. In other words, never cleared = effective medical retirement?
  23. Bass clearly did the hand to the chest "that one's on me" gesture after the miss. So it doesn't matter if it was tipped. He recognized that he didn't hit it cleanly/high enough to make it.
