  1. Boring. Was watching without sound for a while during a phone call. Walz looks a little scared, but much better than at the start. Vance calm, but Walz kind of dominating the time of possession from my impression.
  2. Well, you did mention it. 4 games. Averaging about 50% of snaps. 5 targets. 3 catches. 30 yards. Awful signing.
  3. I hope it wasn't his carrot waxing hand.
  4. https://www.emptywheel.net/2024/09/27/iranian-hackers-compromised-roger-stones-email-eight-years-after-russian-hackers-exfiltrated-dnc-emails/ Roger Stone. Wherever he is, the scandal/screwup is never far behind. Did we really think Trump moved on from the losers and freaks?
  5. I have family in Prescott AZ. similar to Sedona climate-wise, but probably more affordable and some more consumer amenities. Great place. We also have friends who retired near Clemson SC. They seem to love it.
  6. Im old enough to remember when @B-Man quoted Pizzagate Jack saying that natural disasters in California were evidence of God’s wrath. Funny, Florida seems to be leading in the Wrath of God contest.
  7. My totally unbiased and scientific opinion: Harris: probably an IQ around 120-125. Not particularly high for a lawyer, but she did pass the California bar exam (2nd try but California was a tough exam back then) was by any account I’ve seen a generally competent practicing prosecutor. I would have a better idea if she’d written anything of substance. This is a pretty average score for lawyers and I see no reason to assume greater or lesser intelligence. Trump: around 100-110. The best information we have is that he was a lackluster student who probably didn’t have good grades and almost certainly had a poor SAT score (which correlates highly with IQ) since he didn’t get into any kind of elite/competitive college; he went to Fordham and then transferred to Penn (itself the weakest Ivy at the the time), apparently with some family assistance. we have no post-grad testing (LSAT/bar exam/GRE) to go by. Most college grads are above average in IQ, but against that we have many of his coworkers casting aspersions on his intellect. We’ve also seen little written product by him (ghostwriters don’t count), and really no reason to estimate him as anything more than a slightly above average intelligence. Clearly he is a gifted salesman, but salesmen typically fall well within the average range.
  8. True. The other stuff was forgivable. The list that dare not speak its name, not so much. Spanky McFapfap, it was good knowing you. I doubt we’ll be replacing any MLK statues with your likeness.
  9. Yeah it’s just like Michaelangelo’s David. If David and Goliath did soft porn together.
  10. In part. It appears to be a consequence of the intersection of monetary (low interest rates) and fiscal (huge spending) factors. The best study I've seen attributes about 30% of the inflation to the huge spending bills. Correct. You beat me to it.
  11. EDGY HUMOR TRIGGER ALERT. JDHillFan is warned. This guy is also so incredibly stupid that he used the same username - a variant of his real name - across all kinds of platforms, from the legitimate to the sketchiest. And Trump called him MLK on steroids. Did MLK like chicks with d!cks too? Or is that the "on steroids" part?
  12. Beane/McD have drafted really well. That (including Allen) is the main reason why "the process" has worked, and continues to work. Remember, the process was about building a perennial contender, not a team with a short window of opportunity followed by another rebuild.
  13. I'm impressed, RFK Jr! You've still got game. Meanwhile, how's the Alt Media vs. Mainstream Media scorecard looking on Springfield Cat Eating? Miss Sassy wants to know
  14. We are moving toward the 2% target. "full employment" has generally been considered to be an unemployment rate of 4% or lower. Win.
  15. Keep trying, buddy. Your Party of the Stupid just nominated another freak.
  16. Yeah, your porn addict MAGA king is going down. And I don’t mean on a tranny. At least not this time.
  17. Can’t make this ***** up. Not only is he a self-admitted “perv”; he also likes tranny sex. Not at all weird.
  18. Someone explain this to me. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/18/us/politics/melania-trump-nude-modeling.html The former first lady called her past work a “celebration of the human form” in a video, the latest in a series promoting her memoir and appearing to reflect her deeply held beliefs.
  19. I have relatives who grew up in Cheektowaga near Town Park. It was a nice post-war neighborhood. Nothing fancy. No garage, but you didn't have to park on the street. We called it middle class, but in retrospect it was more working class or lower middle class. The dad worked in factories, the mom cleaned houses for rich people. We had moved out to Amherst ourselves. And you know what? My cousins - the kids of that "inner" Cheektowaga family - moved out to far flung Cheektowaga or Williamsville. The old aunts and uncles died, and the house was sold. It wasn't anything sinister. They had their own families and nobody wanted to raise them in a 950 square foot house with one bathroom. The moved up and out. The Buffalo metro area didn't suffer from that; they're still there. So what to do with the old Cheektowaga where apparently no one wants to live anymore? Well, it'll probably be populated by new arrivals, maybe refugees, maybe from Syria or Haiti. And they'll raise their own families there, and then their kids will want more space and they'll move out to Clarence. And the cycle will continue.
