  1. Tell me what I should be thinking about Justin Fields. The next Josh Allen? Or the next big bust? I really can't make up my mind.
  2. And we finally get the 1st punt return TD this year, in Week 14.
  3. He's a mystery to me. You look at that athleticism and it screams "playmaker." But the way he plays tends to be the opposite. I really don't know what to make of him. Example: I think he had 12 tackles today? That's a lot. Were all of them downfield? Seems like it.
  4. Re: luck -- I believe we were 5-1 in one score games last season (the Hail Murray being the only loss). These things do tend to even ought. Evening out can be a b*tch ...
  5. At the risk of being shot at from all sides ... that suggests mostly bad luck, rather than something that requires wholesale changes.
  6. Assuming we'd made it. I definitely was shouting "go for it" but it actually played out as McD had hoped. If anyone told me "punt here and you'll likely go to OT" I would've taken that in a second.
  7. Which was, after all, kind of a 2% chance of success scenario the way the play unfolded. I know we hate him, but ... Brady is Brady.
  8. After today: we're stuck with Dawkins and Williams for contract reasons for at least one more year. But everybody else on the line has got to go. Spencer Brown has been forced into action too soon so he may have a future. Everyone else has been horrid.
  9. Oh, I'm not arguing that in some kind of totality of the circumstances thing you're right. But the ref in real time is gonna see the obvious thing and not what we see in a slow motion replay.
  10. Agreed. Right now he should be the minimal usage guy in any rotation.
  11. Sad in this case, but clearly true. Evans might've sold it (hey, that's a skill for WRs just like it is for James Harden jumping into defenders), but that doesn't get a call if the DB turns toward the ball.
  12. I prefer 538's playoff odds machine. Right now, we're at a 67% chance of making the playoffs. Beat Carolina next week (I mean, we will, right?) and we're at 75% Beat NE the week after, and all of a sudden it's 97%, with a 63% chance of winning the division. One thing we can kiss goodbye after losing today: the first-round bye/best record. Even if we win the next two it's still a < 1.0 percent chance we do that. So despite all the storm and stress of the last 6 days, not a whole helluva lot has changed. This is probably still a playoff time, and any road to the Super Bowl is looking like it goes straight through KC again.
  13. Now there's the Singletary we know and love.
  14. Not stupid at all if we score a TD and get the ball back!
  15. Keepers on offense: - Josh - Knox Diggs, I'm not so sure about the age/salary thing.
  16. Coaching staff or GM? Where's the FB, the competent 2nd TE, the reasonably adequate offensive linemen?
  17. The offense is now Josh, Josh, Josh. Aaron Rodgers was in this situation a few years ago in GB. They fixed it.
  18. This game really needs to end 27-26 to drive home the stupidity of punting.
  19. You mean we can't throw Isaiah McKenzie under the bus again? I mean, he must have missed a block or something.
  20. And just like that Tony Romo's characterization of this as, in reality, a 3 score game comes true.
  21. Bend but don't break! Over the long haul, that'll get you a ticket to a low seed in the playoffs.
