  1. Exactly what I was thinking. Last year's playoff loss was on Allen. The AFCCG seemed too big for him, he & we weren't ready yet. Last night his play was nothing short of elite. He's now a one of a kind QB in the league and no game is too big for him. Wish we could say the same thing about our coaching staff. Hope they learn from this and next year everyone gets their **** together for our playoff run. If that happens we'll win it and there won't be a thing any team could do about it.
  2. Oh I agree. After over 40 years of watching this mostly dysfunctional team I'm going to appreciate great football when I see it. That doesn't mean it wasn't a punch to the gut last night, but this year's playoff team had a much different feel than last year's team. Because of and only because of Allen. The kid is a BEAST!!!!
  3. I think it's an accurate statement. I'm convinced there's nothing the kid can't do on a football field. I can't believe the that WE, the Buffalo Bills, were the one that found and drafted the unicorn QB. On a side note, at this time I would like to thank the Browns, Giants, Jets, the Browns again, Broncos & the Colts. Without your ineptitude none of this would've been possible.
  4. From what we saw yesterday he should probably learn how to play LB or DE. At least we would know our defense would play with some heart.
  5. No we don't, but our closest player to that was out injured. If Tre was healthy and playing yesterday we would've won by double digits.
  6. While I agree with your assessment that they(The coaches and defense) blew a golden opportunity yesterday, I disagree with you that you only get so many shots. While true for most teams and players, in today's NFL the best of the best still get them year in and year out. Brady, Manning, Mahomes and now Josh Freakin Allen. After his postseason performance he's the best player in the league from this point forward.
  7. The Bills should see if Allen can play defense as well as QB. He's already the biggest offensive game weaker the game ever seen and we already ask him to do too much, but what's a little more. At least we will know the defense will play with heart with Allen on the field.
  8. His numbers in the postseason were off the charts. 134 rushing averaging 7.88 YPC, completed 77.4% of his passes, averaged 318.5 passing ypg, 10.3 ypa, 9 TDs, 0 INTs, 148.99 QB Rating, 94.4 QBR. We scored a TD on 12 of our 16 postseason possessions that did not result in a kneel down to end the game. We have the best QB in the league and he's only getting better.
  9. It shouldn't. We will have a legitimate shot at a Championship for the next 12 years or more. Allen is only going to get better. Last year we lost because our QB wasn't ready, this year we lost because of our coaching and an injury to 1 of the 2 most important players we have when facing Mahomes and company. Next year we put it all together and win it all.
  10. I know I might be in the minority here, but I was more encouraged with yesterday's loss than discouraged. That doesn't mean it didn't hurt down to my soul when it happened, but I 100% believe we have the best QB in the league right now. A weapon like no one has ever seen play this game. A combination size, strength, superior arm talent, ellusive, pocket presence and you can tell lately a true student of the game. Presnap and post snap he's so much better. Now add to that the running side with more than enough speed to out run most defensive players, also some really good juke moves the last few weeks. He can run you over, run around you and/or he can juke you out of your jock. His competitive fire & heart are off the charts. On top of that, for the first time in his career I can honestly say that no game is too big for him now. I know we went to the AFCCG last year, but it just seemed like we were at our ceiling, a natural stepping stone you could say, we weren't expected to put up a fight, much less win. Allen looked like the game was too big for him that night. Fast forward to this year's playoffs. In 2 games that, IMO, were the 2 biggest in his career because of the expectations and also because the 2 were against our former nemesis and current nemesis. His play in each was off the charts, like never seen before. In those 2 games: Rushing the ball 17 carries 134 yards 7.88 YPC and had some really key runs last night. Passing the ball 48/62 77.4% 637 yards 10.3 YPA 9 TDs 0 INTs 148.99 QB Rating. 94.4 QBR. 11 TD passes in the playoffs is the NFL record, he had 9 in 2 games. We scored a TD on 12 of 16 drives in the postseason(excluding the kneel down vs NE). A 75% TD Rate in the playoffs is just absurd. You should win a Super Bowl when producing like that. Mahomes had all the advantages last night: Playing at home, the coaches, by far the better playmakers and not having one of the best CBs(Tre White) in the game lined up opposite of him. And it still took some coaching blunders on our part, a miracle ending in regulation and then OT to beat Allen. If they switched teams Allen would've won by at least 2 scores. Allen is the better QB and we now truly have a unicorn at QB. After watching this team for over 40 years, I'm so thankful and encouraged by that.
  11. Hang in there bud. I've watched the drop by Ronnie Harmon in the AFCCG in Cleveland. I was 18 years old when I watched wide right, it crushed me. Then came the Titans and their forward lateral. Last night stung a bit, but it feels very much different than the rest of those and here's why. At the beginning of the year if people were asked which young player would you take to start a team, it was Mahomes and by a mile at that. But this year's playoffs have changed that narrative some. Now there would be just as many or at least close to as many people that would take Allen over Mahomes. Mahomes had all the advantages, playing at home, better coaching, better playmakers & the absence of our injured Pro Bowl CB Tre White. Yet even with all those advantages it took everything he had and then some to beat Allen in OT. If they swapped teams I think Allen would've won by double digits. Another narrative put to bed is that some games are just too big for Josh. In the playoffs this year, against our past nemesis and current one Josh led the offense to 12 TDs on 16 Drives. That excludes the kneel down at the end of the pats*** game. That's scoring a TD on 75% of all drives against 2 good defenses. We averaged 41.5 points a game. The future is bright my Bills friend. There's no doubt in my mind that Josh will use this as motivation this offseason and come back better than ever. Also there's no doubt we have the best QB in the league, the ultimate weapon. The guy who will be wrecking defensive gameplans for the next 12-15 years.
  12. Allen's QB Rating in this year's two playoff games was 148.99, nearly perfect. Unbelievable is all I can say. To play that well on the road, in such a loud and hostile environment was just crazy good. He'll be climbing the rankings quickly in the next few years.
  13. Whatever we do in the offseason both in the draft and FA, it has to be done with the thinking of will it help us beat KC in the playoffs. That means we may take our lumps in the regular season against big physical teams who run the ball. But we clearly need to add more speed and a playmaker or two on defense to beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Having Tre would've been huge last night. On offense I don't think we need too much, maybe an interior OL and a WR with Sanders and possibly Beasley or McKenzie leaving.
  14. I'll start this by saying I haven't watched college football in a couple of years so I don't have a name in mind. But we found Tre @ #27, so if we can find anyone at CB even remotely close to Tre's potential @ 25 take him. Then let Levi walk during the offseason.
  15. I'm not saying we lost last night strictly because of the offensive play calling, but to act as though it wasn't one of the main reasons is, as you say, absurd. The difference with the offensive play calling between the first 43 minutes and the final 17 minutes, once we went down 9, was night and day. Then and only then did they exploit the matchup with Gabe. The first 43 minutes and 4 seconds - 2 catches 23 yards and 1 TD. The final 16 minutes and 56 seconds- 6 catches 178 yards and 3 TDs. If you're a playoff caliber OC, that's ready for a head coaching job, how does it take that long to identify what was clearly a HUGE mismatch. The defense was a problem also, but the Bills knew Mahomes wasn't struggling anymore like earlier in the season. We went into the game without our #1 CB, who happens to be one of the best in the league. They knew that it was going to be a track meet and that they needed to outscore KC and through nearly 3 quarters Duhboll made some head scratching play calls. Consistently taking the ball out of Josh’s hands in key moments and creating several 3rd and long situations. They didn't do that on KC's side of the ball, they were getting good yards in the early downs creating 3rd and short yardage. That is when the defense created 3rd downs.
  16. True, but Mathieu in 2022, is no where near the player or as important as Tre is. Tre's injury made all the CBs move up a spot. Forcing Levi to become CB #1, Dane CB #2 and so on. The injury put several players out of place. I think it also limited what the coaches could do with Poyer and Hyde as far as moving them around trying to disguise coverages and such. Like when we played them in week 5. Instead they played more of a vanilla defense so they could provide more support to the DBs.
  17. We can definitely use a stud on the d-line, but to be fair we were missing by far our best defensive player for the last couple of months. If Tre was healthy yesterday we win and probably by double digits. Tighter coverage equals more pressure and sacks.
  18. I'll answer this in 2 words.....Tre White. That's what we were lacking yesterday. If he was healthy we would've won by double digits yesterday.
  19. As long as 17 is taking the field we will be the favorite in the division for the next 10-12 years. He was an absolute monster in the playoffs this year. Probably the best QB play through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs ever. 48/62 77.4 Comp% for 637 yards 9 TDs 0 INTs QB Rating 148.99 and another 134 yards rushing on 17 carries(7.88 YPC). If only we had something that resembled a defense yesterday......
  20. No, no it's not. He's 💯 correct.
  21. We also lost because of some bad offensive play calling through the first 2 1/2 quarters. With Mathieu out of the game early, he should've unleashed the passing attack we saw in the last quarter and a half. Gabe should've had alot more targets because A.) The Chiefs had absolutely no answer for him and B.) To force the defense to adjust coverage away from Diggs and Knox. Good coaches attack a glaring weakness over and over again until the other proves it can stop it. Like the Pats did to us in the wind game. Duhboll ALWAYS has stretches in games where he gets too cute with his play calling.
  22. A 148.99 QB Rating wasted. He was literally almost perfect through 2 games and we still lost. #17 is THEE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE BAR NONE. It's insane to think of how good he's going to be next year and beyond. This year we can safely say the huge playoff games are not too big for him.
  23. Duhboll was one of, if not, the biggest reason we lost tonight. When you have Josh Allen as your QB and the other team's defensive backfield captain leaves the game, you don't get conservative and start running more. 17 to 13 should've been happening all night long. They had no answer for it. He averaged 20 yards per target, 25 yards per reception and a TD every 2.5 targets. They should've targeted him 20 times tonight or until the defense adjusted. That's what a good OC does.
  24. 17 was the best player in the playoffs through the first 2 rounds despite Duhboll calling plays. He was a garbage OC through the first 3 quarters of this game with some absolutely head scratching calls in the opening 40 minutes of play. Hopefully this is goodbye to him.
  25. Imagine going 48/62 637 9/0 QB Rating of 148.99(Perfect is 157.3) plus adding 134 yards rushing on 17 attempts(7.88 YPC) through 2 games and losing. Even with a #1 ranked defense. These coaches got to step up on calls and get out of Josh's way. Personally I can't wait for Daboll to leave. Alot of odd calls and with Mathieu out of the game early they should've unleashed the passing game earlier. Gabe could've had 300 yards tonight. They literally had no answer for him. I would've went to him every play until they proved they could stop it.
