Week 6: Bills at CHIEFS 10/16 4:25pm
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is what's going to happen once December hits. Which is what everyone of us should want because when Josh runs early, this offense goes from hard to defend to almost impossible. One of the reasons people say we don't have a running game is.....we just don't call many running plays. Singletary, Moss & Cook have averaged ~4.7 yards per carry this year, but only have 77 attempts combined. There's 11 RBs that have that many carries or more. Of those 11 RBs, Henry(3.9), Mixon(3.1) & Elliott(3.8) have averages that are sub 4.0 yards per attempt. Yet their teams chose to keep handing them the ball. When it comes to running we seem to have the same offensive philosophy as the Pats*** did when they had Brady(excluding his last few years). Besides Josh has been better, for the most part, of not taking big hits the last couple of games when running. Let's face it, he's the ultimate competitor and he's going to keep playing this way until he wins a title. Once that happens I think maybe he'll become more selective on when to run. -
We're #1 in yards per game, #2 in points per game. #2 in yards allowed per game and tied for 1st in points allowed per game. Tied for 1st in turnovers caused and #1 in point differential by almost twice as much as the 2nd place teams. All this while playing 3 of the first 4 on the road and being the most injured team in the league. When we get healthy we're going to be scary good. Also the back half of the schedule looks much friendlier.

Broadcast team ripping Bflo weather
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes they did. Nance even mentions that they needed to come here more often then followed that up with and we will. -
Josh has 1,410 total yards in 4 games this year. If you remove Indy & Denver(already played 5 games) and Buffalo(because Josh is on the team) Josh would rank 13th in total offense. Josh has 12 total tds, which if you remove Buffalo, would be good enough to rank 5th in team tds. It would be hard to see him as anything other than the MVP so far this year.

I agree. I was dumbfounded when I saw him re-enter the game. He was clearly punch drunk when he got up from the hit. Before that when he sat up he placed both hands on his helmet, a telltale sign that he got his bell rung. Also when he rose to his feet he gave 2 real quick shakes of his head, yet another sign he was trying to clear the cob webs. How the spotter missed all these indicators is beyond me..

I disagree. Chances are anyone Tua is going to talk to won't know nearly as much about brain trauma and the long term effect on the brain. What does Tua's priorities have anything to do with whether, medically, he should retire or not? From a medical standpoint he either should or shouldn't. Most likely Omalu was probably asked something along the lines of "If Tua asked you what he should do what would you tell him"? Of course he's going to say he should retire, he's seen the end results and the destructive path it leaves over and over. I mean I'm not a fan of his message, but what we saw last Thursday night is not normal, it was a very severe concussion. Experts don't need to examine him to know this, there's plenty of video evidence.

Yeah, I get ya. I rarely listen a whole show, but mostly watch clips of interviews that interest. There some good ones and besides he absolutely loves our players, Beane & McDermott when he has them on his show. He shows a lot of respect to them. Von is on there weekly and Po seems to be on there once every 3-4 weeks lately.
-
His show got a 4 year $120 million contract from FanDuel alone and there's plenty more sponsors. That's a lot of dough for one sponsor. That one deal alone would've made him tied for the 14th highest paid player this year. Best part is he gave a bunch of it away to school sports programs and charities when he announced the deal on his show.

He's looking for both. A big payday while playing the game loves. If I'm Tua, no matter how much I love the game, when an expert of Omalu's caliber says he should think about retiring, I would at least give it a little thought. There's a reason Omalu is anti-football and we all know what that reason is. He came into this not having a side, but his experience in this has shown him it doesn't end well for the player nor their family and friends.

Week 5: Steelers at Bills 10/9 1pm

Mix of sun and clouds, high 56. Winds WSW @ 10-20 MPH. That doesn't look bad at all. Great football weather! -

They had the best defensive player in the league last year when they played us, they don't this week. They had the best defensive player against the Bengals week 1, they DON'T this week. They have 10 sacks this year, 7 came in Watt's only game. They have created 8 turnovers this year, guess how many in Watt's only game? 5. They've done nothing on defense the last 3 weeks while playing against Mac Jones, Jacoby Brissett & Zac Wilson, now they're gonna go gang busters against Josh? Lol, fat ******* chance. Your hot takes today haven't been so hot. Like OBJ not playing in 2019, then I tried to correct you and then you doubled down on it. All you had to do was look it up.🙄 -
Week 5: Steelers at Bills 10/9 1pm
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Describe what a Steelers "A" game this year looks like. They're a shell of what they usually are. They've played no one this year and are still only 1-3. Their only win was a fluke because the Bengals decided they didn't want the ball on offense giving it up 5 times, 4 of them Joe Burrow INTs, 1 being a pick 6. How bad is it? Josh has 250 total yards more than their entire team. He's 1 TD short of having twice as many total TDs than their entire team. He almost has as many rushing yards than their star RB. He's thrown for 115 yards more per game than their QBs. No reigning DPOY TJ Watt. Both their other 2 stars are really banged up. Really bad o-line and with their current injuries even the d-line is bad and they're not getting pressure on QBs(Which is how Jacksonville beat us). They only have 3 sacks in the last 3 games without Watt Like I said they have no A game. They're done, cooked & Tomlin is going to suffer his 1st losing season of his 16 year career in grand fashion. -
Week 5: Steelers at Bills 10/9 1pm
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally different teams. First start for the rookie QB, their lines on both sides of the ball are really struggling, their minus their best player, plus Heyward & Fitzpatrick are both banged up pretty good and their star RB is only averaging 3.5 yards a carry this year. That's all their top talent right there. -
Help me understand an OBJ trade
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall
Once again you're wrong. He played 16 games in 2019 and had 74 Catches for 1,035 yards. Unless multiple sites, with the same info, are wrong. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/16733/odell-beckham-jr https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BeckOd00.htm So the stats you gave for games played per year, total yards,, average yards per season, total TDs & average TDs per season are all wrong. -
Help me understand an OBJ trade
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is wrong on so many levels. He hasn't played 7, 6 & 8 games over the last 3 years. He's played 16, 7 & 14, the 6 & 8 games were from last year on 2 separate teams. 1 of those years was a 1,000 yard season. Also was very good in the playoffs last year catching 21 of 26 targets for 288 yards and 2 TDs. He had 9 catches for 113 yards in the NFC championship game against the 49ers. -
With TJ Watt still sidelined, Sunday will be the 1st time Josh has played the Steelers and won't have to run for his life. Their lines on both sides of the ball are really bad. Add to that McDermott's track record against rookie QBs, it's not looking good for them. Bills: 41 Sqeelers: 17

Orlovsky: Bills have become one of best screen teams
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Ravens game, I believe 3rd quarter, to Singletary that went for about 12 yards. Edit: The 2nd play of the 3rd quarter TD drive, went for 14 yards. -
Now is the time we need Cook to start playing well
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now is not the time, but it would be nice. I'm good with it taking awhile as long as he's starting to play well by December. Down the stretch and the playoffs is when we'll need him the most.
