Yes Bosa leads the league with 15.5 sacks, but you're sitting here acting like we're nothing and played no one. When in reality San Frans gaudy numbers are based on playing a bunch of nobodies. * Number of games played against teams .500 or better SF - 5, Bills - 10. * Number of games against top 10 offenses SF - 2, both at home, record 1-1. Bills - 5, 3 on the road, record 4-1. * Number of games against top 5 defenses SF - 2(Den, Bucs), 1 at home, record 1-1. Bills - 4, 3 on the road, record 3-1. * Getting back to Bosa and his 15.5 sacks. Buffalo has played against the 2nd place(14.5 sacks), the 3rd(13.5), all 3 guys tied for 7th(11.0), the guy tied for 10th(10.5) & the guy tied for 12th(10.0). We actually played the 2nd and 10th place guys in the same game, oh the horror!!! You may ask yourself, self what was our record against these great pass rushers....5-1 * Yes they have CMC and he is a really good RB, but we've played the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 11th, 13th, 14th & 15th runners. Again you might find yourself asking what was are record against these fine young runners.....6-1. * Also during your little rant you forgot to mention they're playing an untested rookie QB, who now has a few games of game film on him. * We have played a tough schedule this year, against really good players and teams, while key players have been out left and right. Josh had to battle through 4 games with an elbow injury, we even lost a home game to a snowstorm. We're the most battle tested Bills team since the 90s, maybe even before that and through it all we're still sitting at 11-3.

San Fran's defense is good, I know that, but some of their success has to be contributed to their schedule. They've played a bunch of bad teams and even more bad offenses. They've faced only 2 top 10 offenses(KC & Mia, both at home), going 1-1. They've only played 5 games against teams that are .500 or better, for context we've played twice as many. Offenses they have faced by rankings 31st - 2 games, 30th, 28th, 27th, 23th, 21st, 18th, 17th, 14th - 2 games, 12th, 5th & 1st. That's 9 out of 14 games in the back half of the rankings and half the season playing one of the 12 worst offenses in the league. I agree Buffalo will be able to compete against them and any one else for several reasons, but the biggest one outside of Mr. Allen is they are battle tested this year. They have played a bunch of good teams and are sitting at 11-3. They have done really well against top 5 offenses, going 3-1 with 3 of them on the road and 4-1 overall against top 10 offenses. They've done well against top 10 defenses too going 3-1, again 3 of them on the road. San Fran & Buffalo have played 4 games this year against 3 common opponents. They played the 31st ranked offense of the Rams twice, we played the 5th ranked offense of Miami twice. They got KC at home, we had to play them at KC, they played 3 at home, we played 3 on the road. They gave up a total of 84, we gave up 80. My bet is our defensive numbers(points/yards allowed) would be similar to theirs if we played their schedule this year.

It doesn't matter if you base it off of the whole year, since the Bills bye, since the 49ers bye or just last week, Buffalo has had the tougher schedule. The 49ers have played 3 games against teams that currently have winning records, 2 against .500 teams & 9 against teams currently with losing records. 3 of their 4 losses came against teams with losing records. The Bills have played 5 games against teams that currently have winning records, 5 against .500 teams & only 4 games against teams currently with losing records. All 3 losses came against teams that currently have at least a .500 record.

Name another QB in the MVP race that has already played 10 games against teams that are currently .500 or better and have went 7-3 in those games. The 3 losses obviously by a total of 8 points. He's the best player in football, playing on an offense that has no real identity and has very average players outside of Diggs. He has passed or rushed for 36 out of the 42 TDs(85.7%) the offense has scored this year and has 4,562 total yards out of the offenses 5,608(81.3%).

NFL rushing game without QB contributions
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
They must be doing something right, they're the only offense in the league to rush for 100 yards in every game. They are also the only offense in the league to be top 8 in total yards(2nd), passing yards(5th), rushing yards(8th) and points per game(4th). We're a more balanced offense than other teams. As others have said it's not that they don't run the ball well, they simply choose passing the ball over running it. They have demonstrated on a few occasions that they can run the ball late in the game and chew up clock. Singletary and Cook average a combined 4.6 yards a rush, which is better or equal to 5 out of the top 10 runners in the league. So plenty good enough for the playoffs. -
Let me start by saying excellent question!! Now to the business at hand. Not trying to be that guy, but.....I'm gonna because your timeline of events is way out of whack lol. Us beating the Chiefs week #6, us losing in hot weather week #3, 3 games before the Chiefs game. The same with the injuries, I know Ed got hurt in week #1, but they started really rolling in week #2 including the most important loss, Micah Hyde. Both these things happened or began happening weeks before the Chiefs game. To answer your question: Miller's injury makes this a tough answer. Do we get him back, if so when and at what capacity? If we get him back and he's his old self, it's Super Bowl or bust. If not, making a deep playoff run(AFC Championship) would be my best guess.

OLIVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A TURKEY LEG!!!
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to familykwi's topic in The Stadium Wall
My discussion has been exclusively about this game and this game only. At no point did I mention what Ed has or has not done in other games. Yet you keep bringing it up thinking you know my thoughts on the matter, which I find hilarious. Time to get off that self-righteous horse you're on. You don't even need to watch replays to know Ed dominated play after play in that game. Or do you just watch the ball and QB when watching live action? Heck you don't even need to know much about football for that matter. Lastly you exaggerate over and over again to try and prove a failing point. At no time did I say Ed singlehandedly won the game or anything close to it. Show me where I said something even close to that(Here's a clue, it doesn't exist). Until then I'm done with ya.✌️ -
Or the ever infamous "Just give it to them" phantom 1st down. That quote was actually heard and confirm from NE reporters who overheard the refs talking prior to them giving NE a 1st on a play that wasn't a 1st down. Then a phantom pi on a hailmary in the endzone soon after, giving them the game.

OLIVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A TURKEY LEG!!!
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to familykwi's topic in The Stadium Wall
So you skip right over the forced fumble and recovery? It very well could've prevented points for the Lions as that was 2nd down on our 41. And it led to points as we scored our 2nd td of the game on the following drive. And no #2 is not subjective, anyone not named you, who watched the game clearly saw Oliver having a much bigger impact on the game than DaQuan. Again your past judgment seems to be clouding your memory of what actually happened. Also you can only play against the players that line up against you. When Justin Jefferson went off on us a couple games ago and the crazy catch he had, I didn't hear a single media outlet say yeah but he did it against a depleted secondary or that the catch was against a guy who never plays and should've known to knock the ball down on 4th down. Instead of trying to catch it. Yeah, not just that Madden would've wanted a DL to get a turkey leg(100% agree), but he would've known Ed's play warranted it. -
Bills at Lions - Post Game Thread
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hear ya, but the successes and failures, in the NFL, always falls at the feet of the QB, whether warranted or not. It's just the way it is and has been for a long time. When Josh entered the NFL things were pretty similar here as far as losing culture and in his case an extreme lack of talent as 1/3 of our salary cap was tied up in dead cap due to Beane cutting or traded a bunch of bad contracts. The Chargers have alot more talent on their team than we did on 2019 when we finished 10-6 and made the playoffs. If the situation is that bad there and with you living there I have no reason to doubt you on that, he would be wise to force the Chargers hand come contract time. I would play out my 5th year option and make them tag me for 2 years then find a team that will both pay me and has enough talent to give a shot at a few titles before I retire. Otherwise he'll end up being another Philip Rivers, good QB, but very little success. -

1.) There's no and I repeat no interior DL that's going to put up the stats Ed did yesterday for 13-14 games in a 17 game season. Not even the best to ever play the position, Aaron Donald 2.) While DaQuan had a good game, his impact was no where near the impact Ed had. Where's the safety(points), forced turnover, fumble recovery etc. If you take those plays out then their impact was similar, but we lose the game. 3.) A kicker is usually the leading scorer on the team. So Bass gets a turkey leg for doing what all other kickers do and missa pat? 4.) IMO Your past disappointment is clouding your judgment of just how impactful Oliver was yesterday. He was the single biggest reason we beat the Lions, with no one else even remotely close. -
Bills at Lions - Post Game Thread

I agree with pretty much everything you stated. Herbert is a QB that fills a stat sheet up, but it's all useless as his team never accomplishes anything. I've watched him on several occasions and acknowledge he's a good QB, but I've never seen much fight or dawg in him. So similar to Allen in metrics, yet so far away in the intangibles. 42 starts in and he still has a losing record and zero playoff appearances. Maybe you haven't watched all their games? Because Justin Herbert hasn't missed any games this year and has played in every game of his career since he was named the starter in week 2 of his rookie year. The injuries for both teams cancel each other out, at best. Buffalo has had 23 full games and at least 4 partial games lost to just All-Pro players. That doesn't count all their other injuries. Herbert is a great stats guy, but his play doesn't have an equal impact on the team's performance and the results. So many QBs in this league impact the game and their team's performance more than Herbert does. When I look at him I see Allen, when I watch him I don't see anything close to Allen. Little fight & dawg in him. With Allen also being injured this year, their injuries are a wash. Yet 1 QB is 8-3 & the other is 5-5. Injuries could be a partial reason for the struggles this year, but it hasn't been limited to just this year, it's been his whole career to date. For how great his stats are, after 42 starts, he still has a losing record(20-22), zero playoff appearances and is in jeopardy of missing out on the playoffs again this year. The Chargers are 1 of those teams that is supposed to be great every year and year they end up below average. A top notch QB doesn't let that happen year after year. -

Why because I called him out on his past discretions? It's a fact that he's a cheater, it's been proven with announcements, fines & loss of draft picks that have been levied against the team for doing so. He's not in my head, never has been, I just call them as I see them. One more thing...Josh has owned him & that team as of late. -
Looking for a St. Petersburg Bills backer bar

I don't know what team you've been watching, but we don't have an all-star LT. Him and Morse are our 2 best OL, but he's not even close to an all-star.

But I'll go right back to it, the end results are the same. Last 4 games last year, all wins with 3 of them no punt games, they averaged exactly 30 points a game, our last 3 games we've averaged 29.4 Now if it's the playoffs you're talking, it's not going to happen this year or any other year by this team or any team for that matter. A game where they went 7 drives, 7 TDs, I can confidently say it'll be the only time I see that in my lifetime by any team. If you want to combine the 2 games, no one is going to score TDs on an average of 12 of every 16 drives, which is what the Bills did in those 2 games. A .75 touchdown per drive ratio is not sustainable by anyone. Do they look as crisp, no they do not, but this was not a dominating offense at any stretch of the regular season last year, a game here and there, sure but there weren't really any stretches. Heck there were 3 losses in between weeks 9-13 last year with point totals of 6, 10 & 15. Josh is hurt right now and our defense is so injured it's having a hard time getting off the field and giving up long drives that it wasn't earlier in the year. Much easier to stay in a rhythm that way also. Just remember things can change quickly. In our week 16 victory against Atlanta last year Josh had one of his worst throwing days ever going 11/26 for 120 yards, 0 TDs 3 Ints and a QB Rating of 17.0 Week 17 against the Jets he barely completed 50% of his passes, throwing 45 times for only 239 yards. Then the next 2 weeks he statistically had the best 2 game stretch by a QB in the playoffs ever and the highest QB Rating ever in a playoff year. IMO when it's go time, in a few weeks, Josh and the offense will be ready. -
So how good has Allen been?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why is it a better measuring stick? You also called it a misleading record. Wouldn't be misleading to count someone who got to sit a year and learn vs someone who was thrown to the wolves in the 2nd half of their 1st game ever as a level playing field? IMO that's a far, far more flawed way of looking at it, one has a huge advantage over the other. And yes Zach Wilson does ranked way higher than Rodgers in TDs through their first 2 seasons. Next you'll say you should count Rodgers 4th and 5th seasons as his first 2 years. Even though they used the 3 years he sat behind Farve to teach him everything he needed to know and spent the time fixing flaws in his drop back and throwing mechanics. Maybe GB should've petitioned the league to make Rodgers rookie of the year in his 4th year, because that's when he became the starter and that's the only time that should count by your logic. -

True, but the game in Gillette was closer than it should've been. On 1 drive Buffalo went for it on 4th down from the 1 when Emanuel Sanders dropped a sure TD. Another drive they were at NE's 12 and on 1st down had a TD taken off the board because of penalty that had nothing to do with the result of the play. Only to follow that up with another penalty the next play making it 1st and 25 from the 27. And another drive stalled inside the 10 resulting in a fg. NE on the other hand scored nothing but TDs when they were inside the redzone. The total yards for the game was 428 for Buffalo vs 288 for NE, NE had 2 turnovers, Buffalo had none and Buffalo had the ball for over 10 minutes more than NE. It's amazing it was only a 12 point victory. -

LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand we've had some redzone turnovers of late and we've punted more than we usually do, but this keeps getting repeated and is an over reaction. Our offense last year averaged 381.9 yards a game and 28.4 points per game. This year we're averaging 415.9 yards and 28.1 points per game against a far harder schedule than last year. Now some will say, yeah but the hot start on offense this year is inflating the season averages. Ok, if you go off our last 3 games we are averaging 414.7 yards and 29.4 points per game. That's not to say the offense is playing perfect, by no means are they, but the results are just as good, if not better, than last season when we had an easier schedule and far less injuries. Just looked up 2020, when we all thought the offense was really humming. We scored about fg more, but gained about 20 yards less per game than this year. Still pretty close when everything is factored in. We're still a top 3 offense, fix the redzone turnovers and they'll be #1. -

Yes, walking the green mile. How is it your takes are repeatedly this bad? Since the start of 2020 Josh is 4-1 against Belicheat with the only loss coming in a wind Strom that had gusts almost as powerful as a cat 1 hurricane. During those games Allen has 13 TDs, only 1 Int and 1 rushing TD. The last time we played them in the regular season we traveled to their place with an offensive line that was struggling and Dawkins wasn't starting. The first of 2 straight dominating performances by the offense against Belicheat's defense that saw our punter never see the field except to hold for extra points. After both those games Belicheat was quoted as saying we had no answers for Josh Allen today. I don't expect anything different when we play in their place next Thursday. -
Why? The offense has scored a combined 89 points in the last 3 games. That's a 29.7 average and is higher than our 28.1 season average. They also have 1,244 yards of offense during that span. That's an average of 414.7 yards per game, almost identical to our season average of 415.9 yards per game. There's been some uncharacteristic turnovers in the redzone during that span and we've punted more than we usually do, but as far as points and yards are concerned we've been hitting our yearly averages during that span. Now you don't want to see so many turnovers, they could be playing better and in the process putting up more points, but on this board, the repeated declarations of the Bills demise on offense has been greatly exaggerated.
