Colts are benching Ryan. Foles to start the rest of the year.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think it was simply a bad game, the Chiefs have had some problems against bad teams this year. Lost to the Colts and now in back to back weeks almost lost to 2 more bad teams. Nearly blew a 27-0 against Denver, who fought back to make it 34-28 and had the ball 2 times after that with a chance to take the lead. And this week got taken to OT against the 1 win Texans team. -

Judging by his 2 point conversion Saturday night, soon he won't have to walk on water. He'll fly!! -

This board is literally scared of every G*d damn thing known to man. I feel like I'm in the movie The Replacements. I guess I'll join in and give it a whirl..... Spiders. Anyone else scared of spiders? -
Diggs throwing his helmet and asking for the ball more
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey is definitely part of the problem with the offense as a whole. Where's the jet sweeps, misdirection plays, the screen game, lately where's the deep ball been or a trick play. For the last month, month and a half, the offensive play calling has been very bland and the only thing saving it is the most dynamic player in the game. This offense could and should be so much more, but it isn't. -

LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Without a doubt, if Diggs stops and thinks for a second just how much better he has it here than Minnesota or most places for that matter. His career to date: Vikings - 70 games 4,623 Yds 30 TDs Bills - 47 games. 4,059 Yds. 28 TDs By the end of the year he'll be a little shy in yards, but his TDs will be about the same in 20 less games. Also his targets in all 3 years here are higher than his highest year in Minny. And he got paid. What he needs is another weapon to keep the coverage honest. Maybe that's Cook next year if he works hard this offseason on his game? -

Are you talking the defense in general or the Miami game specifically? -
What’s the Coverage? Who’s to blame? Waddle TD
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was going to post the same thing. Edmunds literally showed Poyer where Waddle's route was going to go and Poyer still messed it up and gave up a td. -

LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing I did notice from looking at the game logs is in many of the games that are really tight and go right down to the end, he usually gets really high targets. Vikings, Lions & Chiegs come mind. His targets are usually about 50% higher than average(about 15). On whether things have been kept vanilla or not, I would say 99.9% of our offense this year has been vanilla. Not many jet sweeps and literally no misdirection or trick plays. I like when Daboll would call a double reverse WR pass or the HB pass every once in a while and they almost always worked. Anyways back to the vanilla offense Josh and maybe Beane? stated that there were concepts they couldn't run because of the lack of experience at the slot position. We haven't been throwing deep lately and I'm wondering if that's because of Josh's elbow. Though the Miami was the first game that I thought maybe his arm is getting back to "normal". -
100% agree on both things you mentioned and was going to post something similar until I saw your post. Unbelievable neither made it. Oliver as a 4th alt. is criminal also. Hopefully there's some Bills players a little pissed about this and are looking to show they were wrongly passed up.

In Knox's defense Dorsey has kept him in to help block a bunch this year because our OL sucks so bad. And he has had some drops, but he does have the highest catch rate of the guys who normally play at 74.7%. -

Which is weird because early in the year Dorsey was being complimented for finding different ways to get him open. Around the Pittsburgh game iirc. Last 3 games he's averaged 7.7 targets, about 2.5 targets below his average. But if you go the last 5 it increases to 8.7 and the last 6 increases to 9.9 which is about .3 under his season average. -

Diggs is far more lethal with the ball and his targets are usually at a higher degree of difficulty than McKenzie, but their catch rate is very similar. I was surprised by that. Diggs 99/142 - 69.7%, McKenzie 40/60 - 66.7%. Knox leads the primary receivers at 74.1%. -

Only Jefferson, Hill and Adam's get more targets. Diggs averages over 10 a game and is on pace for a career high in targets. Our offense will be at its best when it spreads the ball around to everyone, like Saturday night. 9 different receivers, each with at least 1 catch in the 1st half. Get Gilliam and Shakir involved a little and you can easily bump that to 11. -

I don't think it's that, though there could be a little truth to it. I think he's tired of being the only true threat and because of that sees a bunch of double teams throughout the game. You can see the frustration mount as the game goes on. -

He wants to win first and foremost. But if we're losing or in a close game or if the offense has been sputtering, he wants the ball. He's said it before, "That's why you paid me". If we're rolling and he's not getting targets because of double coverage, he doesn't care on the least. He just wants to win. GO BILLS!! -
A Few Thoughts about the AFC East Run, in no particular order
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're 8th in rushing and are the only team to rush for 100 yards every game this year. Some will probably say yeah but Allen's numbers are included and I would counter with 6 of the top 8 rushing teams have running QBs. I counted Atlanta because between their 2 QBs they have just under 500 yards rushing. It's not just Buffalo, most of the best rushing team's numbers benefit greatly from their QBs running alot. There's 3 teams ahead of the Bills that have QBs with more rushing yards than Allen and both Lamar & Fields lead their team in rushing just like him. -

I don't understand why you would think our RBs suck. Our 2 main RBs, Singletary & Cook, have a combined 4.6 ypc this year. That's as good or better ypc than half of the top 10 RBs. This year hasn't been we don't have any RBs to give the ball to or even the line can't run block, it's been the year of we just don't run the ball much. That doesn't mean the line or RBs couldn't be better, but they've been plenty good enough to add another 5-8 carries a game. I don't understand why they don't run another 5-8 times, it would really open up the play action passing game and RPOs imo. -
Good Lord. Justin Fields won't have the luxury of having the #3 defense to drag him to a win. We lost because of the Jets defense and 2 Josh Allen interceptions, not Zach Wilson, he had a whopping 154 yards passing and a fumble. One of Josh's interceptions stopped us from scoring at least 3 points and the other led to a 19 yard td drive for the Jets. Chicago has a bad defense ranking 22nd. That loss to the Jets is the only time this year the Bills have lost to a top 10 defense(3-1, 3 of them on the road).

The best roster is Buffalo's because of the QB position. It's not just that there's a advantage at QB, but it's by far the biggest mismatch on paper between the 2 teams and at the most important position in all of sports. Purdy is doing well now being an unknown and having a great offensive mind as head coach to guide him through this time, but as he continues to play defenses will be able to identify his tendencies, what he does well at and what he struggles with. I have a hard time believing this will continue into the playoffs, history tells us it won't. After 30 years you should know that with rookie QBs, regular season success very rarely translates to postseason success.

Interesting Diggs Split Stat from The Athletic
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to inthebuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are not wrong, he's done it a ton this year. I'm always yelling at the TV lol. Sometimes it's only a play or two into a drive. I'm like what are you doing?? Maybe it has to do with keeping him fresh until this time of the year? I don't know, but it's happened this year way more than the other years he's been here. -

The offense will be much harder to stop if Dorsey and Josh show a willingness to spread the ball around like Saturday night. 9 different recievers had at least one catch. I mean who had Morris, Hines, Cook & Knox with receiving tds before the game? May not make Diggs happy early on, but if they keep with it, it should free him up some later on. -
Snowballs - fair game if aimed at Dolphins bench?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Clark Rotary's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's only 4 instances I would condone throwing snowballs. In no particular order...We're playing Brady, Belichick, the Chiefs & the Dolphins. Watching since the 70s I consider Miami as our main rival. Finally we're back to being #1 & #2 in the division again. And just as I remember it back in the 90s they're the deuce lol. GO BILLS!! -
I agree, he's not great, just good. He'll always need really good talent around him for the team to succeed. That'll be ok for Miami while he's on his rookie contact, but once he gets paid it'll be a whole lot tougher. He'll never be able to carry a team like Allen & Mahomes can. I love Diggs over anyone on Miami, but could you imagine what Allen's numbers would be if he had Hill, Waddle & Mostert? Damn he would win multiple MVPs & Super Bowls imo.
