  1. He averages over 20% more per carry and per reception than Singletary with only a little time on the field before the last 6 weeks. He's been getting better and better, every few games you can see the difference. Whether he's a rookie or not he's shown he's better and more explosive than Singletary. To be fair to Singletary, Singletary's average is good at 4.6, but not 5.8 good.
  2. That and he completed the pass and the 2 pt conversion would've been good if not for the penalty. I get there was an easier way to it, but the results would've been the same either way.
  3. Yes he has. His average is up to 5.8 ypc and he has more 20+ yard runs than Singletary 6 vs 5 on less than half the carries(80 vs 170). He and Knox are on tds streaks and that really needed to happen ffir this offense. Someone besides Josh & Diggs need to step up and show they can take some of the workload off their shoulders.
  4. And every week, for the last several, Cook has been stealing more and more of the attempts away from Singletary. Today it was nearly even Singletary 12, Cook 11.
  5. I hear ya. They have to be willing to sacrifice a drive or two to keep the running game going. They do it all the time because they're passing too much. I personally think it's because he's more comfortable calling pass plays. Former QB plus didn't he run the passing attack last year?
  6. Ok. But the nothing you're describing is often 2 or 3 plays where the line gets blown up then he just quits calling running plays lol. The KC comes to mind off the top of my head. Singletary performed well in the 1st half, line gets blown up twice and Dorsey is like... Gentlemen we're moving on.😂
  7. Every game Cook has got 5 carries, just 5 carries his ypc has been 4.8, 7.0, 4.4, 7.8, 4.6, 6.8 & 9.0 he hasn't been stopped. All the other they abandoned running him at 4 carries or less. In 40% of our games our featured RB failed to get 10 carries. Hate to tell you that's called abandoning the run too early, especially for how many offensive plays we have run this year. Take the 1st Miami game as an example. Close game throughout almost all our WRs were either playing hurt, got hurt or suffering heat problems, along with Knox at TE and still out of 86 offensive plays our RBs got 15 carries. In a game that we were tied or winning most of the game. That's bailing too early on the running game and there's other games just like it. You're not going to convince me otherwise.
  8. No, not really. We're the only team to have at least 100 yards rushing per game. In most games our RBs don't have many yards, it's because of the number of carries, not their ypc average. Even if that were true, that's no excuse to stop running the ball, by weekends end we will be a top 5 rushing team. With other teams that have good running attacks they keep at it, even if they've been getting stopped the whole game. They keep plugging away and more often than not a RB breaks one and the rushing game turns around. Dorsey has to learn to have alot more patience in the running game. No he just missed. 11/99/1 a 9.0 ypc average, plus 1 catch for 9 yards
  9. It is if and only if Dorsey continues to call a balanced offense. Including today's game Singletary and Cook have combined for a 5.008(I just wanted to show it was over 5.0 lol) ypc this year. It's not that they can't, they just go through long stretches were they elect not to. Imo Cook needs to be the featured back and Singletary needs to be the complimentary back. Cook is averaging 5.8 ypc & 9.2 ypr on the year. Both well ahead of Singletary.
  10. In all fairness I did say at the most you could say was those 3 games. Not that it was necessarily true.
  11. After week 12 the AFC East looked like this: Miami 8-3 Buffalo 8-3 NY Jets 7-4 NE Pats 6-5 Since then Buffalo went 4-0(3-0 in the division) and Miami, NY Jets & NE Pats have gone a combined 1-10 with Miami still having to play tomorrow. One team stepped it up, while the other 3 wilted away, each falling out of contention for the AFC East crown. Back to back to back AFC East Champions has a good ring to it, doesn't? Let's kick some Bengals ass next Monday night and secure homefield advantage week 18 at home against New England!! GO BILLS!!
  12. I think we can beat them without our A game. I mean most of our wins this year we didn't have our A game. At the most you can say we brought our A game is 3 times. Against the Rams, Titans & Steelers. Offensively we didn't have our A game at KC and still won. Cincy is playing well right now, but it's nothing we haven't seen this year. You could argue the Bengals should've lost today to the Pats after being up 22-0 late in the 3rd. We won comfortably against the Pats just a few weeks ago.
  13. Over the last several years we've done really well against running QBs, to the point they don'ts scare me at all. I'd rather face a running/mobile QB like Hurts than the lethal passers such as Mahomes and Burrow. And yes I'm aware Hurts is good at passing as well as running.
  14. Obviously don't like to see the 2 picks today, but there's alot to like about the offense the last 2 weeks. The 3 things I've liked the last 2 weeks on offense: * For the 2nd week in a row 9 different receivers had at least 1 catch. This offense will be most lethal when it's spreading the ball around, making the defense account for everyone on the field. * This is the 3rd week in a row that Dawson Knox has caught a td. After having only 2 in his 1st 11 games Dawson has had a td 3 weeks running. This is coming at the right time of the year and it just happens to coincide with our offense playing much better in the redzone. * With less than ideal weather conditions the last 2 weeks it was important to get our run game going and boy has it. 404 rushing yards combined the last 2 weeks and in the last 5 quarters they've ran the ball for 353 yards or 70.6 yards per quarter. I'm really liking Cook more and more, he has big play written all over him. It's to the point I think they need to consider making him the featured back. Hope Diggs isn't getting frustrated because all of the above are good things for this offense heading into the playoffs. They're scoring 30 points a game again, the last few weeks, and in a totally different way than they did earlier in the year. More like they did in the Pats*** playoff game where everyone was making a contribution and the offense benefitted from it.
  15. Yeah, it's kind of strange that it was considered calm that night and windy today. Outside temps are pretty much identical and the wind chill today is only 8 degrees colder(-7 vs -15).
  16. Chicago's wind chill is up to a balmy -15. Warming up nicely for the guys today.🥶
  17. True. Also if this was mid February and they played the whole winter outside, they would be a little more acclimated, but this is the first real arctic plunge of the year. No one is acclimated yet.
  18. And Denver nearly came back from 27-0 to beat them the week before. KC hasn't been playing its best ball of late. Hopefully that continues and they get the L today.
  19. The wind chill was 7 below in the playoff game against the Pats last year.
  20. You're looking at this all wrong. Don't think of it as it's only 55, think of it as it feels 74 degrees warmer in your apartment than it does in Chicago rn. Based on today's weather, that right there is a bona-fide heat wave.
  21. It will probably be Titans vs Jags for the division. The loser probably won't be in contention for a wild card spot, so the result of this game doesn't affect any other playoff chances besides who's playing.
  22. So you don't think they win those 5 one score games by switching out Wilson for Josh? Come on man, you really can't believe that can you? If so, I don't know what to tell you. My guess is far more people would agree they would win those games than disagree. Josh's difference over Wilson in those games has got to be at least 8 points.
  23. Gotcha. Admittedly I looked up Zays stats, but didn't look at his game logs, my bad Imo as far as averages for #2 WR go, he should be better than the average #2WR and here's why I say that. 1.) Because he has one of the best QBs in the league. League averages include about 20 teams with average to below average QB play. He has an advantage over most in this regard over almost all #2s. 2.) He has on of the best #1 WRs in the league opposite of him that demands double teams. Opening up the field for him. 3.) He has a QB that is so lethal teams use a gut to spy him. Another guy he doesn't have to worry about. 4.) He plays on a team that moves the ball better than anyone not named the Chiefs and scores alot of points. More plays and scores equal more opportunities for catches and tds. He has a bigger advantage over other #2s than probably any of them in the league. As far as his catch rate for his career, aren't NFL players supposed to improve as their careers progress. What if Josh was still playing anything close to what he did his first couple of seasons?
  24. Again no I'm not acting like that. I literally just said "they're one piece away" followed by "admittedly the hardest piece to obtain". What part of that didn't you understand? As far as a systemic failure for not drafting a franchise QB, maybe, maybe not, it's the hardest position to draft for in pro sports. It took Buffalo ovet 29 ywars to find theirs after Kelly retired. Few, if any had Allen & Jackson being the 2 best QBs in that draft class along with Mayfield, Darnold & Rosen ALL being complete busts.
