  1. Throw in another possession lost on the NE punt in the 4th quarter when it touched Taiwan Jones(?) and NE recovered. And Gabe dropping a perfectly thrown 49 yard td pass in the 4th quarter.
  2. No, the owner wanted Flores to tank and he refused. They finished with a winning record.
  3. Fun fact, Skylar's team almost had as many yards and Burrow's team last Sunday, 231 vs 234. Yeah, the Bengals are playing great, 234 yards of offensr for the entire game. We almost had that at the end of the 1st quarter.😂😂😂
  4. Good info, but there's no way I would describe their defensive strategy as working. They gave up 34 points, more than the 32 they just gave up just a few weeks ago and alot more than the 19 they gave up in week 3. I get that they caused a couple more turnovers, but even with that they still gave up more points. In general Miami has continued to show this year that they still can't stop Josh and this offense. At least they aren't going to be lonely, New England's right there with them.
  5. I know we played 1 less game this year, but Josh had 99 more pass attempts last year. This isn't just a Dorsey problem, it's been going on since the start of the 2020 season. Ever since Josh made the "leap" they both have been running around like children going look at my brand new shiny toy. Daboll ran Josh about the same last year as Dorsey did this year. All rushing attempts outside of our QBs were nearly identical both years with 324 attempts in 2021. This year when pro-rating off of the 301 attempts in 16 games we would've hit 320 attempts. Dorsey actually has a little more balanced run to pass ratio than Daboll did, but not by alot.
  6. To the opening part of your comment, I agree, I hear it all the time and I keep thinking IF that's true why are other teams being let off the hook for the same thing? To the part about Devin and Cook, I agree. Not only are they averaging over 5 ypc over the last 8 games, combined they are averaging 5 ypc(4.98) on the season. To the last part, I also agree. 6 out of the top 7 rushing teams this year got major help from the QB position. Atlanta had the least amount of rushing yards by their QBs out of those 6 teams, but it was still over 500 yards. Going back to the first part again. The sentiment that we struggle to run the ball outside of Allen always bothers me because it's simply not true. It's not that we can't run effectively, it's we choose not to. I dug into the numbers and this is what I came up with for the remaining 8 teams. Rushing YPG outside the QB position 1.) 49ers - 131.47 - 441 carries 2.) Cowboys - 124.12 - 477 carries 3.) Jaguars - 106.8 - 386 carries 4.) Eagles - 102.7 - 362 carries 5.) Giants - 100.0 - 388 carries 6 ) Chiefs - 94.9 - 356 carries 7.) Bills - 91.8 - 301 carries 8.) Bengals - 79.44 - 321 carries Why do the Bengals get a pass on this? Imo ypc mean way more when determining if a team can run or not. Here's the ypc list, once again without QB rushing numbers. YPC 1.) 49ers - 5.07 2.) Bills - 4.88 3.) Eagles - 4.82 4.) Jaguars - 4.70 5.) Chiefs - 4.53 6.) Cowboys - 4.42 7.) Giants - 4.37 8.) Bengals - 3.96 Conclusion the Bengals suck at running the ball. GO BILLS!!
  7. I've tore both my labrum and rotator cuff and the way he looks to me, I would say it's a rotator cuff. The labrum was a bad tear, ~1.5" in length, but the rotator cuff was far more painful. With the labrum tear I could still do everything I could before I tore it, once it loosened up, but I would have this really deep ache once I quit using it. The rotator cuff hurt all the time for a month or two until it calmed down.
  8. Yeah I agree. 48/62, 77.3%, 637 yds, 9 tds, 0 ints, QB Rating of 148.99 & a QBR over 95. No one's coming close to that for a season, probably won't even see something that good for a postseason either.
  9. Better yet over the last 2 years Josh has 29, Burrow 26 & Mahomes has 25. 1.5 ints more than Burrow and 2 more than Mahomes spread out over an entire season, over a 2 year span is nothing. I agree, if 1 gets **** on, then they all should.
  10. But his increase in tds outside of the redzone balance out the decrease in redzone tds. Last year's offense and this year's offense just did it in different ways. Me personally, I'd rather have an offense that can score from anywhere on the field. Either way the offense and Josh's stats are nearly identical in both years and in almost every case slightly better this year. JOSH Comp. % - 2021 - 63.3 2022 - 63 3 YPG - 2021 - 259.2 2022 - 267.7 YPA - 2021 - 6.8 2022 - 7.6 TD/INT - 2021 - 36/15 2022 - 35/14 QB Rating- 2021 - 92.2 2022 - 96.6 QBR - 2021 - 66.3 2022 - 71.5 Rush Att. - 2021 - 122 2022 - 124 Rush Yards - 2021 - 763 2022 - 762 Rush TDs - 2021 - 6 2022 - 7 OFFENSE PPG - 2021 - 28.4 2022 - 28.4 YPG - 2021 - 391.7 2022 - 407.7 1st Down PG - 2021 - 23.41 2022 - 22.93
  11. Yeah, but the ints in the redzone are being offset by the increase in tds outside the redzone. That's why our ppg average was 28.4 both years. This offense has varied over the last 3 years, but the results are very similar. Most impactful difference is ppg average in 2020(31.1) was +2.7 higher than over the last 2 years(28.4). Would love to have that extra 2.7, but that's still pretty consistent for a 3 year span. Yards per game, 406.8 in 2020, 391.7 in 2021 and 407.7 this year. Also 1st downs per game averages for those 3 years are all within .46 of each other. We're alot more aggressive under Dorsey than we were under Daboll. I've heard Dorsey talk several times about not being conservative. When you mix an ultra aggressive QB with an aggressive OC this is what you're going to get. It may be maddening at times, but I've been watching the Bills since the 70s and the offense has never been more exciting to watch. Enjoy it while it's here. Unless..........we are lucky enough to get back to back QBs like the Packers and Colts did.
  12. Then the OC has to stop putting the entire offense on his shoulders. Imo Josh is pressing rather than being careless. Where are the runs, screens, misdirection plays, quick slants and the occasional trick play to take some pressure off him. The OC needs to help him out.
  13. I agree. Daboll may have had his share of WTF moments with play calling, but the play calling was creative and had purpose. I think the biggest difference in the 2 is Daboll has a much better feel for the game and what defenses are trying to do against them. Both come with experience, which Daboll has way more of.
  14. I've been against Cole being here, not because of the off the field stuff, I just didn't think he had it anymore. After Sunday's game I feel just the opposite on Cole, I was encouraged by what I saw. The miss catches will fix themselves with more playing time, but he found the endzone and showed good quickness on his 29 yard catch and run. 2 things he didn't do for a good chunk of last season. Add to that he just seems like a totally different person now. I can admit I was wrong and I'll eat some crow on this one. I'm 100% glad he's back.
  15. Every time Diggs goes out(after almost every reception) they run the ball. Every...Single....Time.
  16. Hell yeah, I totally agree, that boy has got some big balls, just ask Wilkins!😂
  17. He threw the same ball, in the same way, to Brown the week before. He threw it up there and gave his guy a 1 on 1 shot. Brown screwed it up by breaking off the route, then didn't knock the ball down, but the worst of it is he ran right by Howard, failing to tackle him. Howard caught it at the 3 and returned it to Buffalo's 48. If he tackles him where he caught it Miami is pinned deep in its own territory. I've seen zero creativity from the offense this year also. I think it's been Dorsey's offensive philosophy to be really aggressive. He may not be a good pairing with Josh, who is already an aggressive passer to begin with.
  18. I'm not and how can you he tired of it, there wasn't a deep ball to be had for about 2 months while Josh was injured. He literally just started throwing deep again 2 games ago. I'm also not tired of scoring 34 points. Give me this offense any day of the week over injured Josh offense. Diggs averaged 16.6 ypc, Davis 18.8, Shakir 17.0(would've been alot higher if not for the drop), even Beasley averaged 17.5, which doesn't happen if Buffalo hadn't been throwing deep all game.
  19. He could be right. Last year the Bengals had to get assistance on a blown dead play that went for a td. The refs to got them past the Raiders in the WC Round.
  20. She very well could've been.
  21. I LOVE McDermott, but I feel bad for Josh, because of this. Especially at QB, there's a distinct advantage of having a former OC as a HC.
  22. I think Cook is our best pick of the draft and should already be starting. He has 7 plays of at least 24 yards on only 110 touches(89 rushes, 21 catches).
  23. I'm going to put the blame where it belongs, on the guy in charge of the offense. We're missing half an offense because Dorsey doesn't like to hand off to rbs, throw screens, call draws, misdirection, trick plays every once on a while, swing passes, slants, the list goes on and on. Long balls, Josh running, 10 yard digs and outs and intermediate crossing plays over the middle. That's really about all our offense. Give me someone that's even 70% as good of an OC as the guy in Detroit. There's a creative mind.
  24. But Daboll could talk sense into him more often than not. And he clearly did for the playoffs last year.
  25. I agree and just mentioned I found it odd there were no screens, draws, misdirection or trick plays called against a really aggressive defense. If you don't give them a reason to slow down their pass rush, they're going to keep coming.
