If Cincy does indeed go to the the short passing game, the d-line needs to be more concerned about clogging up passing lanes and getting their hands up to tip some passes rather than going all out rushing the passer. Chances are you're not getting there on those quick throws anyways. It would be nice to get a tipped pass int or 2 in this game.

They can try and run, but they haven't been good at it this year. Coming into this weekend they were pretty easily the worst rushing team left. I agree, if Josh plays well we will win this game. I'm thinking a game like he had against Miami in the Saturday night game. 300 yards, 4 tds, some nice rushing yards and 1 turnover. It's been a month, so he's about due for a game like that.

Because turnovers are the only thing that matters, and don't even get the masses started on redzone turnovers. I guess I don't understand your question, as I never even hinted at what my thoughts were on Dorsey's HC abilities one way or the other. I simply made a statement that was/is true for both OCs, we don't run enough. You listed a few reasons for and I'm not going to argue any of them, but let me play devils advocate. The 1st and probably biggest reason I would pass on Dorsey despite him replicating the offense's results from last year would be experience. He's had 1 year as an OC and all his previous experience has been as a QB Coach. He got to start his tenure with a top 3 qb and top 3 wr. While the qb coach as fans of this team we know Dorsey helped develop Josh, but outside of this area, I would think Daboll gets most of the credit. And maybe deservingly so as Jones already looks quite a bit better with no weapons at WR. They both ran the ball with exactly the same consistency. Based on their attempts through 16 games they would've finished right around 457 attempts, last year was 461. The increase in ypc and this year's total is nothing more than swapping Moss for this year's 2nd rounder Cook. I think it's safe to say that people clearly remember redzone results & turnovers over big plays and points scored, just watch TV over the last week and you can see that. Add to that the video of him slamming his ipad at the end of the Miami. I personally don't have a problem with it, but some owners and GMs probably will. Either way I think he'll eventually will get one, but I don't think he gets one this year.

I only bring up last year because for the last 2 weeks all anyone has heard is yeah but Burrow led his team to the Super Bowl. He didn't lead anything, he was the one led there by the rest of his team and the refs in 1 game. Besides who wants a traditional offense these days? I would say the top 2 offenses in the league are not a traditional offense. Me, personally, I would want the offense who scores more points, which the Bills do. Also traditionally good traditional teams run the ball well, Cincy is really bad at that.

He's averaged 1.2 tds a game, in now 5 playoff games. That's almost equivalent to a third of a season's worth of games. Spread out over a season that would only be 20 tds. He's led his offense to an average of 22.4 ppg.during that span. That's with the best trio at WR in the game. He's been nothing more than a game manager so far in his postseason career.

Joe Burrow had 5 passing tds in 4 playoff games last year. It took Josh 7 drives or 51 minutes 23 seconds of game time to throw 5 tds last year. Burrow and the Bengals scored 7 tds & 14 fgs, yes 14, on 42 possessions in last years playoffs. If it was anyone besides him or Mahomes that's all that would be getting talked about, how the qb couldn't get the ball in the endzone and that's why they didn't win the Super Bowl. The offense only averaged 22.75 points a game in those 4 games. Burrow didn't carry the Bengals to the Super Bowl, he was carried there by his kicker(who went 14/14 on fgs) and defense.

After round 1 of the playoffs this is where they rank so far(Out of 12 Teams): Offense - Yards Per Game #3. Buffalo - 423 ypg #11. Bengals- 234 ypg Passing YPG #3. Buffalo- 316 yards #12 Bengals - 182 yards Rushing YPG #6. Buffalo- 107 yards #11 Bengals - 51 yards Defense - Yards Per Game #1. Buffalo - 231 yards #6. Bengals- 364 yards Passing Yards Allowed PG #2. Buffalo - 189 yards #3. Bengals - 209 yards Rushing Yards Allowed PG #1. Buffalo - 42 yards #11. Bengals - 155 yards Sacks For #2. Buffalo - 4 sacks #T-7th Bengals - 2 sacks

This game is to see who advances to the AFCCG. If you need more motivation than that, it's likely you're in the wrong profession. Mixon talks alot for someone who heads up the worst remaining rushing attack in the playoffs. With all the attention their WRs draw from defenses, Mixon still only averaged 3.9 ypc this year.

But again he's hasn't been turning the ball over a bunch during the winning streak, which is now a half a season in length. He had 1 bad game as far as turnovers are concerned. -

He's had 9 turnovers during our 8 game winning streak and 1/3 of those came last week. He only had 6 turnovers in his last 7 games going into last week. If you want to say he turned it over a bunch last week, I'm with ya, but to say he's been turning it over a bunch when, what amounts to a half a season, he's averaging 1.1 a game. I can't say I agree with that assessment. Especially when the win streak start coincided with Josh having to play through a UCL injury. Funny, he was turning the ball over at a greater rate in the first 9 games, we didn't hear nearly as much. He had 13 of them in his first 9 games. Really alot of this comes down to a 3 week stretch from late October through mid November. Against the Packers, Jets & Vikings when he had a total of 8 turnovers. Add this past Miami game in there and that's half his turnovers in 4 games, the other 13 games he's averaging less than 1 per game. -

Over the last 3 seasons we have probably been the most consistent offense in the NFL when in comes to yards, points and 1st downs averages. Points 31.1, 28.4, 28.4. Yards 406, 391, 407. 1st downs 23.35, 23.41, 22.94. -

The the bolded points. Yes, it was so bad that there was a time when Brian Moorman, our punter, was the best player on the team and I believe wad the team's MVP one year? To your 2nd point. In the 11 games Josh started as a rookie we lost by more than 7 points 3 times. In the 65 games since Josh's rookie season, there have only been 4 games we lost by more than 7. We win or are within 7 points in nearly every game we play. -

I love how Josh is reckless, but Mahomes and Burrow aren't. They only have 2 less ints this year and it's not just this year. Since the start of last year Josh has 29, Burrow has 26 & Mahomes had 25. They all have about the same amount over a 2 year span Then there will be people to bring up the fumbles and it's true Josh fumbles more than the other 2. But there's a few reasons for that. 1 is Mahomes has a much better o-line than Josh does and Burrow has a better one also. And Burrow still has lost 3 strip sack fumbles on the year. When running, Burrow gets a tip of the cap as he does a good job hanging onto the ball. But as for the golden boy, Mahomes, he fumbles the ball at a higher rate while running the ball than Allen does. Mahomes has 5 fumbles on 61 carries or 1 in every 12.2 carries vs Allen has fumbled 8 times on 124 carries or 1 in every 15.5 carries. Lawrence is another QB getting alot of love right now, he led the league with 9 lost fumbles this season. Yet all you hear about is Josh. Was he reckless when he threw that pin point td to Knox early in the game? Or the 2 perfect bombs to Diggs over the last 2 weeks. How about the perfect td pass to Gabe on Sunday or the 49 yard perfect td strike to Gabe in Pats game that Gabe dropped or the perfect bomb to Shakir that he dropped. He has 9 turnovers during their 8 game winning streak, with 3 coming last week. That means he only has 6 in the other 7 games. Now all of a sudden he's reckless and a turnover machine. But no one's talking about Burrow being bailed out by his defense last week or him leading his squad to only 234 yards of total offense against Baltimore. Buffalo hit that mark by the middle of the 2nd quarter. -

I think it was the game plan going in. If they're going to send everyone and someone has a step, make them pay for it. -

What is his definition of deep? Because Josh didn't throw deep for almost 2 months because of the UCL injury. He just started throwing deep again in Pats game, week 18.
