  1. They have never really had an identity either. When McBeane got here Brady was still in NE so they mentioned a few times back then about building a team to beat them. Brady then leaves and KC now became our biggest obstacle and for the last few years they've built a team to try and beat them. They were worried about the speed of KC so for the most part they tried to a get a faster team. I remember either McDermott or Beane talking about how they had to get faster to compete with them(offseason after our AFCCG loss to them?). So they tried to get faster, but at the same time fast players are usually smaller. But KC then starts to fix its oline and eventually trades Hill and they became a totally different offense. Couple that with the emergence of Cincy who just bullied that crap out of us on the field Sunday. My point is why not just build a team based on what you want and make the other teams adjust to you. NE used to do this all the time on offense based on their personnel. Some years it was the high flying Moss and Welker show. Other years it was 2 TEs and Welker and no one really on the outside that scared a defense. Both worked in their own ways. We haven't seen anything like that from this coaching staff. Same defensive and offensive philosophy year after year. They need to change things up and adapt. Some teams do it on a week by week basis, depending on who they're playing. Imo start with getting 2 WRs & 2 OL in the first 4 rounds of the draft this year. If you can't stop them, at least have the players to help keep up with Mahomes and Burrow.
  2. They told you they were pissed off about it and you believe them. You're an idiot!!
  3. Did you really think they were without 2 former All-Pro players(Hyde & Miller) on defense and another 2 former All-Pros nowhere near 100%? That's 4 of them, 4 out of our top 5 defenders either out or on one leg. By the end Poyer was a shell of himself, in what was the worst game I've seen him play as a Bill(Injured, not his fault). Tre was nowhere near where he was before the ACL injury. Take 4 out of the top 5 players on one side of the ball for any team still in the playoffs and see how long they last. We need some coaching changes for sure, but once Von was ruled out for the year and Poyer kept getting injured, I hoped for the best, but I knew we probably weren't going to make it. In saying that, I'm not giving Frazier a pass. He shows no ability to adapt to player personnel or the ability to help backups that come in. If you don't have the players to run your scheme effectively, find one they can play in. Adapt!!! Something this team doesn't do. They also keep loading their team up to beat a certain team. 1st it was NE, then Brady left and it was the Chiefs. Now the Bengals have entered. Stop loading up your team to beat a certain team. Build YOUR team and make others load up to beat you. KC & the Bengals do it. Build your own identity. We've been loading up on smaller speed guys to deal with KC and got bullied yesterday by the Bengals.
  4. We were just as dangerous as last year's offense, even more so on long play tds this year. We were better in the redzone last year. We averaged the same points(28.4) and gained 16 more yards per game this year over last year. Josh's number's were the same or better in every area this year vs last, but in the end very similar. He did that on 79 less attempts and his QB Rating and QBR were both 4 & 5 points higher than last year. And while you may think our schedule was weak, it was far harder than last year's weak schedule. The ending to the season last year is nothing like you remember with the exception of the big win in NE(week 16) which allowed us to win the division. Before that we beat 5-12 Carolina(week 15) at home 31-14. And lost to Tampa(week 14) in OT in the game were we down 24-3 at halftime. Then we struggled pretty badly with the 7-10 Falcons(week 17) at home. We trailed 15-14 late in the 3rd before pulling ahead and Josh had his worst game as a pro. We were one dumb taunting penalty by Matt Ryan, that negated a td play no less, from them being down 1 score in the 4th quarter. In week 18 vs the 4-13 Jets at home. Again we struggled against a very bad team. We were only up 3 mid way through the 4th before scoring a couple late tds in the back half of the quarter. As for Josh...in 4 of the 6 games in December and January last year he failed to hit 56% of his passes. The Atlanta game in week 17 he completed only 42.3% of his passes, 0 tds, 3 ints and his lowest QB Rating of his career of 17.0. We were not playing well, nor was Josh at the end of the year except the 2nd half of the Tampa game through the NE game. But those games were in weeks 14-16, we struggled in the last 2 games. The plain and simple fact is the offense clicked once the playoffs began, but it was way more like someone flipped a switch, than a steady improvement or hey we found our offense in December and January before the playoffs began. They were also the pissed off ones last year playing NE in round 1 because they were still mad NE beat them in the wind storm game. This year the Bengals came in pissed off and they won. Maybe there's something to that?
  5. Yeah I'm the idiot.😂😂 All because I don't believe in the fake outrage of the Bengals players? Come on man. Their team and fans were literally doing exactly what the Cincy players were supposedly pissed off at the NFL for doing.......Selling & buying AFCCG tickets. How can you be pissed if your own team and fans are doing the same thing? Ticketmaster was obviously selling the tickets, I supplied the link. And fans fall for that fake bs. But yeah I'm the idiot.👌
  6. I'd take Ike, Singletary and Lawson back as backups IF the money is right. If not let them all find new teams.
  7. I agree with everything but he was an above average QB in the playoffs last year. 5 td passes on 42 drives in the playoffs, only 7 offensive tds total. That's a 16.6% td rate, while kicking 14 fgs. QB Rating was a pretty average 97.7(Josh's was 149.0), I think low to mid 90s was the average last year during the regular season. We also know a 50.0 in QBR is average QB play and his QBR during the postseason last year was 51, Josh's was over 95.
  8. In 6 playoff games now Joe still hasn't thrown as many tds as Allen did in 2 playoff games last year, even with far better weapons. He led an offense last postseason that had to kick twice as many fgs as tds scored. 14 fgs last postseason in 4 games while having the best WR trio in the league. He's benefited from great defensive & special teams support in the playoffs. His coaching staff is far superior to ours also. You could make a good argument that they don't win last week without the defense bailing him out. Last year it was the refs bailing him out in the WC round. They don't seem to play well in round 1 for whatever reason.
  9. Are you talking specifically through the draft? Because none of those teams spent great resources via the draft in 21 & 22. Each team spent a 2nd rounder and a 4th rounder, combined in the 2 drafts. That's it.
  10. It's fake motivation, their team and their fans were doing the same thing. Holy cow, think before you type. What you're saying makes zero sense.
  11. Might I suggest no more Thanksgiving Day games. Lost our best defensive player to ACL injuries back to back years in that game.
  12. Are you both going to completely ignore that Cincy was also selling tickets for a home AFCCG? GTFOH with maybe the dumbest take I've seen in my 9 years here. Oh no don't let the other team know that we're doing the same damn thing they are.😂😂😂😂 All you need now is a little jingle to go along with your horrible takes. Might I suggest taking the old Tums commercial, just replace the word Tums with the word dumb. Dumb...dumb dumb dumb dumb. https://www.ticketmaster.com/cincinnati-bengals-v-tbd-afc-championship-cincinnati-ohio-01-29-2023/event/16005D82C5EC540C
  13. The other 3 home teams won this weekend.
  14. Or he coached a defense that gave up 42 points and 552 yards last year and let a team score in 13 seconds. Or in the team's last 3 playoff loses QBs are averaging over 300 yards a game, those QBs also have 8 tds & 0 ints in those games with a 118 QB Rating. We haven't even got to the rushing defense yet where they gave up over 150 yards on average in those 3 games .
  15. What we have here is a battle of the Marks. On one hand Mark92 is fed up with our playoff losses and wants a change. While Mark80 seems to living in a Disney movie and is content to blame it on injuries and tragic events. The problem for Mark80 is this is the 3rd straight playoff lose where our defense got smoked. As I wrote in another thread.. Over the last 3 years the defense has leaked like a sieve in playoff loses. 439 yards, 552 yards & yesterday 412 yards. 1st downs given up 29, 30 & 30. Opposing QBs in those 3 games 85/118, 945 yards, 8 TDs, 0 ints, QB Rating of 118.08!!! If that wasn't bad enough they also gave up 468 yards rushing(156 on average) in those 3 games. Someone needs to be fired for this. That is the very definition of a bad defense and defensive philosophy. Who will survive the battle of the Marks? Who will be the one kicked off TBD Island? Tune in next week to find out!
  16. You try and secure a deal, in principle, before the tag deadline comes and goes? If not don't tag him. Just would suck to let him leave with nothing to show for it after spending a 1st rounder & the 1st pick of the 3rd to trade for him.
  17. You have no way of knowing whether Diggs was mad at the offense as a whole, Josh or both(Most plausible answer). Did Diggs talk to Dorsey on the phone, in the locker room at halftime or after the game? We don't know, for all we know he was yelling in Josh's direction because he's the only one there to yell at. On top of that he's got no reason to b!tch. Top 3-5 in every major receiving catagory including targets, receptions, yards and tds while playing in one less game and while playing in the worst weather conditions of anyone in the top 20. Add to that a QB that played through an UCL injury that should've kept him on the sidelines for a month. How many catches and games won does Diggs think he could've had with Case Keenum at QB? Especially with Case playing behind that OL.
  18. If they tagged him it would only be so he couldn't become a free agent. It's been done quite a bit where the team trading for the player works out a long range deal before the trade is finalized. But yeah I also didn't realize Watt & Von are considered LBers and not DEs. Would be very tough to keep him in that scenario.
  19. OL and WR early and often. Whatever position gets the 1st round pick also gets the 4th rounder. Use picks 2 & 3 on the other position. The defense has used up more than their fair share of resources over the last 6 years. If you can hold them, which they can't, then they'll have to outscore them. If I'm Buffalo I'm either keeping Edmunds or tagging and trading him. I wouldn't let him walk for free.
  20. They were just as much of the reason we lost as the offense was. Staked a 16-0 midway through the 3rd in Houston, once it reaches that point it's on the defense to bring that game home. While I agree the offense wasn't good enough in 2020, the exact same thing holds true for the defense. Mahomes dominated them in that game as others have mentioned. And it's not like they piled it on at the end, they only scored once in the 4th and our offense only turned it over one time, once the game was well in hand. Not sure how a defense that gives up 5 tds and a fg in the AFCCG is not considered inept and at least 50% of the problem.

  22. I, like others, tried to talk myself into thinking we could win it all as the year went on. But the loss of Hyde and Miller proved to be too much for this team. The OL and Gabe regressed this year and over time you could see Josh didn't trust his OL anymore either. He was bailing out early alot, but I can't blame him for that. His play regressed as a result and our OC had no clue how to fix it, or even reign him or the oline in. The writing was on the wall though, once the Thanksgiving day game was over and definitely by mid December. The loss of Hyde, Miller, Josh's elbow injury and the team having to bring in 2 guys off the street in December to help at WR. And we haven't even got to Hamlin & all the off field tragedies yet. On offense they need to build around Josh, Diggs, Cook, Knox & Shakir. Literally everyone else can be cut/traded for all I care. At least for the next couple of years, the defense will have Milano, Miller, Hyde, White, Groot and maybe Elam turns into a good solid corner. The team as a whole seemed to put too much stock in acquiring speed and not enough into acquiring toughness. Toughness is just as important in the playoffs as speed, you have to have a good mix. Dorsey will probably return, but needs to be told that this is his offense, not Josh's. Dorsey needs to be able to show he can help him when he struggles. The difference with Mahomes struggling last year and Josh this year is the coaching Mahomes recieved from Andy Reid. Right or wrong, it's time for Frazier to go. I get he lost 2 All-Pro players. Including a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, but this isn't the 1st time his defense has come up short in the playoffs. He appears to be a 1 trick pony and doesn't seem to be able to scheme the defense to it's strengths, And God, please no more Thanksgiving day games!! I admit that Ioved the idea of playing on that day, but the last 2 years that game has derailed our super Bowl aspirations. 1st with the loss of White last year and Miller this year. This team lost some of its mojo when Hyde went down, it lost the rest of it when Miller tore his ACL.
  23. That's exactly how much sleep I got l!!😂 Best sleep I've had in weeks.
  24. Strangely I'm not nervous at all. Can't explain it, but I have a good feeling about today.
