  1. Just because he's not listed in your little handy dandy fact book means he's not an All-Pro. You do find him listed as an All-Pro everywhere else that lists All-Pro players for 2021. The original source you tried to use( Pro Football Reference) must meet your standards or else you wouldn't have used it. Scroll down to the safties and you'll find him listed as an All-Pro. He's also mentioned in countess articles, from numerous sources, videos and during NFL games and every single one has him as an All-Pro. I provided 4 previously and that was just the first few I found. Just because your little book only mentions 1st teamers doesn't mean 2nd team All-Pros aren't All-Pros. I also found a few articles that state there are no alternates in the All-Pro selection, alternates are only found in Pro Bowl selections. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/allpro.htm
  2. Ok, but you don't get a vote though. Wtf? Lmfao. So therefore what you would or wouldn't do is irrelevant to whether McDermott gets votes or not for COTY. You think the national media is thinking anything like you are, my guess is they are not. Otherwise he wouldn't be in the final 5 coaches remaining when his team was the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl. All they remember is a 13-3 record and all the crap the team had to go through this year and how he handled it. Especially the Damar injury and the days that followed.
  3. Nope, that's not what it means and all you did was provide more wrong information and opinions per usual. He's a x2 All-Pro, it is mentioned everywhere that he's an All-Pro and from the looks of it everyone here disagrees with you also. Instead of owning up to the bad information you provided, like a man would, you doubled down on it. But I wouldn't expect any different you. You come on here and rip the team and other posters who don't agree with you, but can't own up to a mistake you made, good job. Yeah, it's mentioned everywhere you look that he was a All-Pro alternate.😂 I've never heard that before in the 45 years I've watched football. Lol, now I've heard of everything. Art Vandalay making up his own reality. 😂🤣😂🤣
  4. Yeah, I thought about it after I posted and edited my response. I think they call what I did as selective reading lol.
  5. Played that against the Saints last year. Edit: Oops didn't read the whole response lol.
  6. No more Thanksgiving day games! We have lost a very good player to ACL injuries the last 2 years.
  7. We were still playing really good defense even being down Hyde and White. Hyde was gone in a flash, 4th quarter of the 2nd game. After he was lost 3 out of the next 4 games were against teams scoring alot of points at the time. Miami, Baltimore & KC and the defense only gave up 21, 20 & 20. What makes that more impressive is all those games were on the road. And even the 21 for Miami is a bit misleading as the Dolphins strip sacked Allen and they recovered inside our 10 yard line leading to an easy td. And 2 turnovers directly led to 10 of Baltimore's points. A 4 yard td drive after an Allen pick and a 12 yard fg drive after a Singletary fumble. The Pittsburgh game was sandwiched in the middle of those games and they only gave of 3. So those 4 games they gave up only 64 total points with 17 coming from turnovers by the offense. That's a pretty impressive streak. For Frazier's defense to really work he needs a healthy Hyde, Poyer, White & Johnson. If those 4 are healthy and he has a Von Miller, Groot and a healthy Oliver & Jones then his defense can be very good, but who couldn'twith that talent. He can get to the passer and play a more completed scheme on the back end. But I also agree it would be nice to see what a different defensive mind could do here. Next year, even if Poyer does leave, we'll still have 4 players on defense that have been All-Pros. Hopefully they all will be healthy. And no more games on Thanksgiving please. First Tre then Von, both ACL injuries.
  8. The Colts game and the AFCCG against the Chiefs are 100% on them. I would give them a bit of a pass on last year's Chiefs game because Tre was out and any defense that lost a top 5 or so corner playing that Chiefs offense last year would struggle. But....they were equally as bad against the run that game and gave up a crazy 552 yards and 42 points. Even without Tre that should've been more like 400 - 425 yards and 30ish points if you're a good DC. So imo they get no pass for Tre being injured. This year I think is the only year they should get a pass, though obviously past results show otherwise. But the amount of injuries and who those injuries were to, for that all to happen on one side of the ball is crazy. Hyde, Hamlin, Miller & Jones out. Poyer, White & Phillips really limited. How we held them to only 27, I have no idea. Watching the game I would've thought it was more like 41 points or so. Scoreboard was actually closer than the play on the field. But I don't see how any defense overcomes all that against an offense as good as Cincy’s. I don't think the 49ers, Eagles or Cowboys defenses could lose that much talent and be successful against that offense. The 1st half of the year they were a really good defense, top 1 or 2 depending on the week, before all the injures finally caught up. That's with Hyde & White still being out at that time. But it's been nothing but smoke and mirrors for a 1/2 a season or so.
  9. They're not expecting all the All-Pro talent on defense to be hurt again like this year? Milano, who was the only player who has received All-Pro honors and still standing at the end. The other 4 wete ether out injured or playing injured. Poyer is almost for sure gone, but we hopefully should get the other 3 back and fully healthy. Add Milano and that's 4 former All-Pros on defense again next year.
  10. Not embarrassing to me. Your info is wrong. I mean how many sources do you want...... https://www.lockportjournal.com/sports/bills-all-pro-micah-hyde-returns-to-practice-four-months-after-neck-surgery/article_b77fce57-c7b6-5ebe-8643-860c7fc72475.html https://buffalowdown.com/2022/01/14/buffalo-bills-jordan-poyer-micah-hyde-all-pro/ https://www.buffalobills.com/video/jordan-poyer-and-micah-hyde-earn-all-pro-honors https://billswire.usatoday.com/2022/01/14/buffalo-bills-micah-hyde-second-team-all-pro/
  11. And we're likely not running it back with them. Just because he didn't tell you in the end of the year presser doesn't mean a thing. Bet those aren't the 5 come week 1 next year.
  12. 😂 I stopped reading once you said Hyde had never been an All-Pro. Hmm was just selected as an All-Pro last year, for only the 2nd time(2017) in his career! Also Hyde is already medically cleared, he said so just the other day, he would've played this week had we won. As for Von, he was walking without crutches or a knee brace right after surgery and was going up and down stair within a week. He's already came out and said he'll be ready for week 1 and that this ACL surgery wasn't as bad as the 1st one because all the painful stuff, such as drilling holes in bone, they were able to reuse from the 1st surgery which creates a quicker recovery timeline. All this wrong in just the first two paragraphs I read. Didn’t mean to interrupt you, please continue spouting more of your garbage.😂😂
  13. Yes they were. This year though the Super Bowl will be won by a QB that's either 23, 24, 26 or 27. Not an old man to be seen.
  14. Our defense was great, either 1st or 2nd, every week until we played the Vikings. They were holding down offenses that were scoring at a good clip, at that time and doing the best of it(Miami, Balt, KC) on the road playing rookie corners. Unfortunately it was a 16 point lead blown in Houston. This criticism I agree with. Everyone points to the 13 seconds, and rightfully so, but the defense also gave up 42 points and 552 yards. This criticism I agree with. They did come out flat, I wonder if some of it was just coming full circle, playing the same team that they were when Hamlin's injury occurred. Or if they saw everyone that was either out or playing really injured on defense and knew what was coming. Counting Hamlin that's 4 players out and 3 playing nowhere near full capacity, all on 1 side of the ball. Going against 1 of the best QBs and the best WR trios in the league. Imo I don't think any playoff team could take those kinds of hits and beat an offense like Cincys. We were lucky they only scored 27 to he honest. But that's how we would feel to about our offense, right? Even if it's the playoffs and we're playing on the road. If 4 of the other team's All-Pro defensive players were out or playing really hurt plus a few more players out and another playing really hurt. If we couldn't smoke them we'd be pissed, because no matter how good their defense was beforehand, they're not nearly as good at that moment and we should dominate them. Well, Cincy did just that.
  15. I can agree that there's some blame to go around for some of the draft picks for sure. There's no deny that. But this team looks alot different if Hyde, Von & Poyer don't get hurt and Tre makes it back to, let's say 90% of what he used to be. There's 12 All-Pro selections(5-1st team) between them for a reason. Another big bonus to Hyde not getting hurt would've been the Hamlin injury never happens. Give Cincy their 3 starting OL and give us those players back, that's a totally different game. Not only on a talent level, but being able to run much more complex schemes in the secondary with Hyde, Poyer & White all playing together again(Hasn't happened since Thanksgiving 2021😳) and Von rushing the passer.
  16. If Hyde, Miller, Poyer & White are healthy, you don't think we can compete with Cincy? Name me a team that can be down 2 former All-Pros, have 2 more All-Pros playing nowhere near 100%, lose a backup(Hamlin) to one of the All-Pros, be down another starter(Jones) and have another playing with only one arm and compete with an offense as good as the Bengals. Those 4 All-Pro players have 12 All-Pro selections between them including a handful of 1st team honors. 4 out of our top 5(Milano is the 5th) players on defense were either out or really limited. We did what any team would've done in that situation, we got spanked by 1 of the best QBs and WR trios in the league. Correct, just saying it happens from time to time.
  17. I would agree this correct most of the time, but just off the top of my head Jefferson went 22nd.
  18. The gameplan is far different if Hyde & Von are playing, Poyer is relatively healthy and Tre's 90% or so. Injuries caused the game plan, it's been that way for a while now. No disguised coverages or anything. I know Poyer & Tre were playing, but neither were near full capacity. Add to that we were playing our #3 FS, no Jones, Phillips with only 1 arm. What team, that made the playoffs, could withstand 2 All-Pro players out, 2 more All-Pro players severely limited, another starter out and another with 1 arm all on 1 side of the ball and last for any length of time?
  19. This is all true, I can't deny any of it. But on the other hand if the 3 former All-Pro defensive players(Hyde, Poyer & Von)stay relatively healthy & our 4th former All-Pro came back and was even close to the player he was by the playoffs, then this would've been a totally different team. Because for one the talent over their replacement is huge or in Poyer's case him healthy vs what he was injured and Hamlin's injury never happens because he's not playing, Hyde is.
  20. Is it? Or is it they were down a number of big time players? X2 All-Pro Free Safety & x7 All-Pro LBer both out. Last year's 1st team All-Pro Strong Safety & x2 All-Pro CB each playing one legged. Jones was out and Phillips was playing with 1 arm. When this defense was down both Hyde & White they were still a very good defense, even though they were playing Hamlin and rookies in the secondary. Held Tua & Hill down to hardly anything after they went off on Baltimore the week before. Held Lamar & Baltimore down. Held the Chiefs to their 2nd lowest point total of the year. All those games were on the road. Not having 2 All-Pro caliber players in the secondary cripples most defenses, these guys fought through that. This defense was really good(alternating between 1st & 2nd) until we played the Vikings, mid-season.
  21. This is EXACTLY what a number of posters here want. Just put him in the winter hat he was wearing for the Christmas thing a couple years back lol. That sh!t would be comedy gold.😂😂
  22. OooooK. Well on the brightside...now at least I know you exist.🤷‍♂️
  23. If you stop and really think how much talent on defense that was out injured or playing one legged or one armed, I don't think it mattered. How that game only ended up 27-10 I have no clue, it didn't feel that close. 4 former All-Pros either out, playing injured or still coming back from injury on defense. Plus Jones out and Phillips playing with 1 arm. A super human effort by Josh would've been the only way we could've won that game.
  24. The uproar over Sunday's loss I get to a point. The low energy, bad offensive play & play calling I get. But we faced the best WR trio in the league, one of the better QBs in the league with a defense that was down a x2 All-Pro Free Safety & a x7 All-Pro LBer. On top of that our Strong Safety, who was 1st team All-Pro last year and our x2 All-Pro CB were both playing on one leg. On top of that Jones was out and Phillips was playing with 1 arm. That doesn't count Josh, who I think was still playing hurt. There's never a right or wrong player to get hurt, but man did all the wrong ones on defense go down. That's too much talent to be down at any one time. If it wasn't the offense or the Cincy game this week, it was coming soon after. What a sh!tty year to have a bunch of impactful injuries. I wish we were as healthy as we were last year. Imo this year's team would've been able to absorb just a Tre White injury, like we had last postseason. Provided Josh was 100% healthy.
  25. I heard that's one of the worst injuries a player could suffer. The injury of ineffectiveness is not to be taken lightly!!
