Who's our slot WR in 2023, Shakir or...?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Crowder better do alot in those 6 games he plays before getting injured again next year. Too late, he just got injured while reading this post. 😂 I was referring to the 74% of McKenzie catches going for 1st downs or tds. He does more when he touches the ball than Crowder does. He has more tds and the same 1st downs as Crowder over the last 3 years even though he was a part timer/gadget player for 2 of those seasons. That doesn't even count the additional benefit of running the ball. Like I said I don't want any of them, but Crowder is a distant 3rd between those 3. Why would anyone want to re-sign a guy who's shown he can't stay healthy? -

I'd rather have Beasley and at his age I don't want him tbh. Crowder has played a full season once in the last 5 years, missing nearly 2 full seasons worth of games in that span. Or I'd rather keep McKenzie even and I don't want him either. But he caught 2/3 of the balls thrown his way and 74% of his catches went for 1st downs or tds(31/42). A percentage Crowder has never came close to. -

Ok, using your list let's do a bit more fair of a comparison. Total sacks 1st 2 years in the league: Micah Parsons-26.5 J.J. Watt-26.0 Myles Garrett-20.5 Maxx Crosby-17.0 Brian Burns-16.5 Groot-12.0 Matthew Judon-12.0 Nick Bosa-9.0(Hurt only played in 2 games his 2nd year) Chris Jones-8.5 Alex Highsmith-8.0 Haason Reddick-6.5 Josh Sweat-4.0 -

That's why you do it only with players you think you'll extend at some point in the future. Gives you more years of kicking that can down the road. -

I wouldn't cut a guy who scored 5 tds for us this year, for a guy who's missed 21 games in the last 3 years. Crowder has missed at least 4 games 3 straight years. -
Favorite season of the Allen era?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think because many of us knew we couldn't hang with KC yet and we couldn't. The 38-24 score didn't tell the whole story, we were losing 38-15 with 7:30 left in the game. Last year we could. For the first time since the early 90s I saw a Bills offense really click in the playoffs. Boy I've really missed that. It was. -

To be honest there are not many successful versions in Buffalo's history.😂 But if they want to know what, let's say 90-92 was like, imagine similar regular season success(1990-92 - 37-11, 2020-22 - 37-12) except going to(And losing) the Super Bowl every year. Including the infamous "wide right" game, easily the most heart breaking loss in my 45 years of being a fan. -
This is immediately after the offense failed to kill the clock on the last drive in the week 3 at Miami sauna game. Real temperature of 120 on the field, he was spent. Passed for 400 yards with a gimpy Davis, no Kumerow(hurt 1st half), No Diggs for almost the whole 4th quarter plus part of the 3rd and early in the 4th with Diggs already on the bench Knox & McKenzie went to get IVs. He was throwing Gilliam, Morris, Singletary and I think they were lining Cook up at WR they were so desperate for players. He was also the leading rusher, the usual 1 man show.

Saquon Barkley is Still a Media Favorite to the Bills
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to JackKemp's topic in The Stadium Wall
At what Spotrac estimates his value($12.3 million per year) at they would have to shed $33 million just to get under the cap and sign Barkley. That number only has our 1st round draft pick factored in too, so it would be closer to $35-$36 million. -
If Frazier returns, how much will your enthusism die?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why do you expected the defense to be worse? Are you expecting 4 All-Pro caliber players to be injured again like this year? We get Hyde back, Tre should be much closer to his former self being almost 2 full years since his surgery. And Von surgery went really well, the only work done was replacing the actual ligament. All the "rough parts"(Drilling holes through bone ect) of the surgery they were able to reuse from his 1st ACL surgery. Supposed to cut a couple months off the rehab and last update was he was going to be ready week 1. That came from his own mouth. That's alot of elite talent to get back on the field at once. -

None. We get at least 17 weeks of Bills football a year, in the Josh Allen era even more, I'm not wasting it over a coaching decision I have zero control over. -
Saquon Barkley is Still a Media Favorite to the Bills
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to JackKemp's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, I agree. My guess is they have 2-3 more cracks at it. If there's no Super Bowl win after that then you could see the Pegulas move on, but who knows. I don't think they're in any hurry to move on from McBeane, especially after this past season. If there's no title and Josh is or is approaching 30 you may see some urgency out of the Pegulas then. But I think they're safe for the next few years. -

Some believe McBeane are on the hot seat in this coming up season. One indicator could be how much cap space they create. I was told they could create about $40 - $45 million pretty easily through restructuring. Concentrating on the younger players(Allen, Milano, White, maybe Dawkins). Restructuring only with players you think you may extend again, then you can spread it out over even more years. If they were inclined to keep Oliver they could extend him to free up some more space. Cutting a few players could also free up space, cutting Hines would save his whole salary, so $4.8 million just with him. Either way I think we're going to see alot of this while Josh Allen is still Josh Allen or we win a Super Bowl. -
UPDATED - v3.0 (FINAL) on p.13 - Gunner's 2023 Mock Draft
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
To leapfrog the Chargers and trade with Seattle at 19 it would be something like our 27th, 91st & 129th picks, maybe a bit more if they want a little extra value for trading back. -
Kurt Warner's "Study Ball" review of Bengals game.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Maine-iac's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with running the ball more, it's been this way ever since Josh broke out in 2020. I agree we need more in the short game. But as far as RB's number of catches, if you include Singletary, Cook, Hines, Moss(While he was here) & Gilliam the number increases to 79 receptions from the backfield. Gilliam is technically a FB, but he's lined up in same backfield. -

I wouldn't say McDermott is totally hands off with the offense, at least this past year. I can't say with 100% it was Allen, but I'm like 99% sure it was, in an interview he said McDermott would come into the QBs meeting every week and give a full run down on the opposing defense they were about to face. What they liked to run, what they're strengths & weaknesses were and how he thought they would defend them that week. I don't know if he's always done this or if he was doing it cause Dorsey was a new OC. Either way, for Dorsey and Allen(Especially Dorsey) that's like getting the answers to the test ahead of time. I'm wondering with the change of OCs last offseason if maybe Allen started getting too big of a say in the offense. Also maybe Dorsey doesn't put Allen in his place when he needs to, maybe too buddy buddy with him. Not saying that's what happened, but just a thought. Another thing is I think the offense, especially Allen, missed this year was Daboll's experience and feel for the game & his QB. I had some issues with Daboll's playcalling from time to time, but overall he had a much better feel for the game & where Allen was in said game than Dorsey seems to. -
Josh = Phil Rivers (just messenger)

I said this also. They even are 5th(Rodgers 100.1) & 6th(Allen 99.6) in career postseason QB Rating. They have each have played at a very high level in the postseason yet their combined postseason record is barely above .500(16-14). Neither gets the support they need to be successful in the playoffs. -
Agreed. He also has the 5th highest career postseason QB Rating, right ahead of Josh(100.1 vs 99.6). The 45 tds vs only 13 ints is an impressive 3.5/1 ratio. For reference some of the greats: Brady's ratio is 2.25/1, Peyton's is 1.5/1, Montana's 2.2/1(But 11/0 in Super Bowls). Josh's is 4.25/1. I hope we win multiple Super Bowls with Josh, but I could totally see a Rodgers like career. Where he gets 1 ring, but so many other years squandered because of lack of help and coaching. They have the 5th and 6th highest career postseason QB Ratings and yet combined they're barely above .500 in the playoffs(16-14). That's ******* nuts!

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
They didn't just miss the playoffs, they did it in resounding fashion losing their last 6 games and 7 of their last 8.😂
