  1. Don't have to buy what they're shoveling, I saw different play calling with my own eyes. If you didn't see it I would have to question what you were watching.
  2. I with you Hackett's play calling is out of this world bad. O-line needs to get much better, and I think they will. EJ is needs to improve, but is too young and not polished enough. He needs a veteran QB as his #2 to help speed up the maturation process. In other words he needs help not hindrance.
  3. I have a bridge to sell anyone who thinks they're showing what they have in the preseason. Did you not see the TOTALLY different PLAY CALLING in the third quarter. My 11 year old son could even see it.
  4. Why because you say so ? I'll email Terry Pegula and let him know what the "plans" are.
  5. Hackett doesn't want to show his hand, that could be good or bad. Give the o-line a few weeks to get use to one another, Get Sammy back, and lose this High School play calling and I think they will be just fine.
  6. The pretty pass to Stevie in the back of the end zone week 1 against New England.
  7. You point out EJ was terrible but fail to mention the entire offense was terrible and at the top of the list was the o-line. Giving up pressure from everywhere especially up the middle, penalties, I mean first and thirty, and that don't count negating a 8 yard pass to Chandler and twenty something yard run by CJ. The rest of the offense was slipping, tripping, fumbling, and bumbling their way around the field. EJ needs to improve, I'm not a total homer, but in no way is he going to be able to carry this team especially in the first half of the season. If you want to see what EJ needs look at Seattle, he needs a stout defense, good special teams, the o-line needs to be very good(which playing with the current lineup I think they will with a few weeks of playing together) RBs and WRs have to be better. Also having your #1 WR in the lineup would help. The OC has to call more than 8 different plays in the first half. That's was as vanilla play calling in the first half as I've ever seen. Again I know EJ needs to improve I'm not saying he doesn't, he's not going to be able, at least yet, to carry this team when everything is going wrong.
  8. I just watched it three more times Fred for a split second but three guys were bearing down. I think that's probably why he didn't throw it.
  9. They are probably more talented, but they haven't had Glenn and the line today couldn't have beat anyone. They were as horrible as the 1st half play calling.
  10. Great catch I didn't see it till you mentioned it. WTF is that.
  11. He also hasn't had his #1 WR in at least half of those drives, a OL that hasn't been good and shuffling all around, and has Hackett as an OC. He's not going to be able to carry this team this year. He's an inexperienced young QB. He's going to need help from the o-line the defense, RBs, WRs, but most importantly his OC has to put him and the offense in good situations. When the announcers are saying you only ran four different plays in the first half that's not getting it done to say the least. I'm just saying all including Fitz are veteran QBs they've had time to work on their game for years EJ has not had those same luxuries.
  12. Hmmm... This just in THOSE ARE THE TOP THREE ACTIVE QBs IN THE GAME AND ARE PROBABLY ALL TOP TEN ALL TIME. They have started 186, 193, 240 games respectfully compared to 10 for EJ. Just so you know, I'll let you in on a little secret, the game plan for two out of the three QB,s is to do what Tampa did today, quick pressure up the middle.
  13. That's a list for the up coming season that hasn't happened yet, another words a guess. Mine was from a last season and was based off of real true games.
  14. Only one of them is even in the top ten, Minny #6. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/01/13/2013-offensive-line-rankings/
  15. Only two ranked below the Bills, Atlanta and Indy's. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/01/13/2013-offensive-line-rankings/
  16. The Colts only have 75 yards at the two min. warning. I heard half of Indy is on suicide watch.
  17. Funny how you rarely hear about QB complaints from teams with good OLs. The two usually go hand in hand.
  18. He called a different third quarter. You can't beat anyone using, I'll be more generous, 8-10 plays.
  19. O-line had a to of penalties, several negated good gains. I mean come on 1st and 30. Chandler fell down on the interception. The Spiller fumble, Woods slipped on a would-be 1st down catch, some rushers not getting blocked, many attempts he got hit only getting to his second option thus the check downs, and no Watkins. When he had time he did a pretty good job. The Bucs were able to penetrate the middle of the pocket not many QBs have good games when the team they're playing are able to do this, including Manning, and Brady. EJ is NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO CARRY THIS TEAM he going to need his teammates and Coaches help, like most young QBs. On a side note I like the quick swing passes to Spiller ? in the third quarter. When hit in stride, like the ones in the third quarter, it gets him out in space with a full head of steam.
  20. I've brought this up a couple of times in the last couple months. I think the Bills during warm ups should do a simulated 1st quarter.
  21. Understand. One thing I read Doug told Jerry he loved how he played and practiced and wished some of the others were doing the same. In my experience there usually needs to be some self-policing in the workplace. Something i think the Bills have been missing for a long time. A lot of the effort over the last 10-15 years would have never flew in the late 80s-mid 90s. Kelly, Thomas, Tally, Reed, Bruce, ect. would have never allowed it. Have a good night Kirby, off to bed.
  22. Like I said in an earlier post when he went to Jacksonville He had no reputation, and was a complete and utter a-hole. He made Doug look very tame. Winning cures a lot of ill-wills, players even say that.
  23. You could be right, but I'm sure a lot of new coaches go through a feeling out period. I think almost any way works as long as you win in the first 2-3 years, time will tell.
  24. I have no doubt, after last year, he can do it. Think maybe he's trying to get some new leaders or future leaders going ? Between Hughes and Woods it's like he's trying to get them going. Almost like poking the angry bear.
