I think this is Jerry trying to keep the team relevant and on the front page. Many were saying, over the weekend, Sam would have still been on the Rams if it wasn't for all the extra media attention. When talking about JF he said if they had drafted him it would have kept the Cowboys relevant for many years to come.
Besides trading up to #4 for Watkins the Bills have drafted in the top five only twice since 1986 (2002,2011). Now to be fair 4 of those years they didn't have a first round pick. Even removing the four years of no draft picks that's twice out of the last 24 years, even how bad the last 14 years it's only happened two times. I love the pick of Watkins( who loves the Bills and wants to be here) and he will pay dividends for many many years to come. Chances are we are not in the top five come the 2015 Draft.
C+ Was hoping for better, but could be worse. Where he was drafted I had hoped for more from Gilmore, like a shut down corner. There's still time though and I think he has both the mental and physical capacity to be what I had hoped he'd be.
NO KIKO. The guy was all over the field the first 10 games or so. Wanted to see him with another offseason under his belt. Oh well I guess I'll go o-line and Sammy's ribs.
Thanks for the vids. the time is almost here. I feel it building more and more as we approach Sunday. So many new starters and players in different positions lets hope it comes together quick. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!
More importantly is the horse injury prone? How's his body language does he hang his head? Due to the coaches the 10-6 recorded had to be adjusted down to 8-7-1.
The OP and a few others continually turn threads and posts into EJ bashing. Most of the others and myself got it a long time ago YOU DON'T WANT OR LIKE EJ, which is fine we just need to hear it all the time. That is called crusading which is against the TOS of TBD. Me assuming because your new you may not understand something on this board, because your new, is not shallow in any way shape or form. How did you even come to that conclusion is beyond me. As far as the search for support you could not have looked far because many examples have been given in this thread. If you look at the thread above me John from Hemet hits the nail on the head better than I do.
Then EJ has decent to good stats. Career QB ratings: Orton 79.9 EJ 77.7. Actually they are pretty much the same. In one year EJ rushed for 186 yds and 2 TDs, in 8 years Orton rushed for 282 yds and 3 TDs. All things considered they are pretty much equal except EJ still has room to grow.EJ is the obvious answer. Oh by the way Ortons a winner he's 35-34 as a starter. A winning record yes. A winner no.
A QB bloodbath? Palmer was on the team for what 4-5 days, and was probably insurance in case Orton fell thru. Thad was released because he had regressed. Tuel was waived then signed to the practice squad. They signed Orton and have 2 QBs on the team like most do. Just because you need reassurance when other QBs are cut don't mean others do. Many back-up QBs don't get a press conference unless they are a big name like Tebow.
What, in your opinion, leads you to believe he was coming in to be the starter? Is it the lifetime back-up role, or the career stats of 1 of 4 for 17 yards and 1 interception and a QB rating of 5.2? Yup, clearly sounds like a starter to me.
