I think beating Chicago in Chicago is harder than beating San Diego in Buffalo. I know it has been only 2 games, but it just has a different feel to it.

Maybe, maybe not. It always does until it doesn't. The decline is already upon us I believe. If you watched his games last year he was missing fairly easy down field throws. He's 1 of 15 this year on throws of 20+ yards. That's not anywhere near the Brady of old. Now one could use the argument his WRs aren't what they use to be, in which I would agree, but I believe it just hastened the decline.

Why? Rookie year is going to be one of, if not the worst year of your career, that's a given. That's why many people believe games 17-32 are far more telling then games 1-16. If rookie seasons were far more telling there would be no super star QBs.

In no way was I saying anything you just implied. What I was saying is currently, this year and this year only, EJ is out performing by quite a bit. Even though EJ still has areas he needs to improve upon. I read in an earlier post of yours where you said Brady missed a few passes last year he normally hit. That's being extremely nice about it. I remembered seeing him miss 3-5 passes a game that were on him and no else but him. Over throwing wide open WRs running in the open down field. You know your declining when your numbers are not nearly as good as a QB who has started 12 games and needs improvement in many areas. It use to not matter who was playing WR his numbers have never looked this bad.

Brady's numbers are down quite a bit this year and that really started last year. Brady- 43 of 77 for 398 55.8% 5.17 yds/att 2TDs 0 Ints 78.8 rating EJ- 32 of 48 for 375 66.7% 7.81 yds/att 2TDs 1 Ints 95.4 rating Tom has 29 more pass attempts but only 23 more yds, less than 1 yd per pass attempt over EJ. The 55.8% is really not good. Out of the top 38 QBs on ESPN link below, only Chad Henne and Drew Stanton have a worse completion percentage. I think most people here are encouraged by EJ but also know he has to continue to to improve. Even with that, his completion percentage is 11 points higher. On Chandlers catch the play starts at the 29 1/2 . Chandler runs an out and up, at the 23-24 yard line he starts his break up the field. EJ was throwing the ball as Chandler was starting his break up field. He doesn't deliver those throws especially Chandlers last year.

I not here to debate who opinion is most reasonable. That's not how this conversation started. I get I'm not changing your opinion nor I'm i trying to. Your right EJ is, as of now, a game manager. I'm hoping by the end of the year he's a very good QB. Winning while, developing and gaining experience, will help him and any QB for that matter. I'm a fan of his, a homer at times I admit, but I think everyone would have to say he's show definite improvement. Was excited to see the deep pass to Watkins and the pass to Chandler on the sideline, those were both thrown rather deep, before they were open, and were very well placed.
